Onesto was the perfect location for our intimate wedding and reception. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and service. The staff was quick in flipping the room from ceremony to reception and exceeded our expectations. They were even able to accommodate specific bar requests we had. The space speaks for itself and doesn't require much decor wise. Emme and team nailed it with our table decor vision and place settings. Communications were timely leading up to the wedding. Highly recommend Onesto.
The best wedding food we have ever had, so many guests raved about the quality of the food and the atmosphere. The team was very responsive, even though we had gone through about 4 different events coordinators by the time of our wedding, Emme was awesome the final months and really made everything happen just the way we wanted. Bar service was speedy and awesome. Atmosphere beautiful, loved the location. It was perfect for our 72 person wedding. We had long French-style tables which made it feel super intimate and personal, the space was perfect for this, though we intentionally did not have a dance floor and that might have been tight if we had. Would recommend table wine in addition to bar service, as it was tight for folks to get up, back and forth during dinner. Parking was hard for our guests, but everyone figured it out eventually. Overall, could not have been happier with our decision to have our reception here.
If I could give the food and the drink a rating it would be 10 stars (out of 5- YES it was that good). It is also a beautiful venue for a smaller wedding, only downside is the stair case in the middle kind of limits the flow of guests. Overall the event was pretty affordable as well.
The reason for the 3 star review is because of the coordination with the planner and event team. But I guess you get what you pay for in that retrospect. It was pretty much impossible or you would need to be extremely patient to reach the day of coordinator and event coordinators in regards to pre-planning activities. My flower vendor also was not getting email responses and I had to follow up consistently, where I was told to set up a calendar invite, however when I did that nobody showed up. There was no phone number provided for me to call, only the Onesto number where I would be lucky to reach someone from the event team. I was told by staff at the venue this was happening frequently so unfortunately it seems to be a theme, perhaps they are understaffed. I am lucky my groom arrived to the venue a few hours before the wedding began, because otherwise it would not have been what I imagined.
We had our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs room at Onesto. It's always been one of our favorite restaurants in the Third Ward, and it was right across the street from our hotel. We had the entire upstairs area reserved for our party, and it was so nice to go from cocktail hour at the bar to dinner on the other side of the room. The space was so pretty and the food was delicious.
Perfect venue and a pleasure to work with.
We could not be happier with our decision to have the wedding and reception at Onesto. We loved the unique and intimate atmosphere and were amazed at the staff! They were willing to go the extra mile to make sure our day was exactly what we had envisioned.
Booking our wedding and reception with Onesto was an easy choice when we saw the gorgeous private space filled with Cream City brick and exposed wood. Our decision was finalized the moment we tasted their food. The ambiance and food quality were our primary venue concerns for our small wedding and Onesto came through on those brilliantly. What we didn't know when we booked them was how amazing their staff would be as well. Christine was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our 14-month planning process no matter how many times I blew up her email with random questions. Likewise, for our rehearsal and day-of, William and the rest of the staff were truly wonderful as well. The whole experience was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for a more helpful, accommodating, and lovely team of people, or a more beautiful space for the most special day of our lives. We already celebrated our one-week anniversary at the downstairs bar and hope to keep coming back for years to come.
Easy to work with, very accommodating, response time was amazing!
We worked with the Hospitality Democracy team to host our rehearsal dinner at Onesto. From day one, Colleen and Christine were incredibly attentive and responsive. They answered all our questions and we were happy to book with them. They kept constant contact until our event, finalizing all the details so there was nothing to worry about. The event was flawless. Decor, food, drinks, ambiance -- all outstanding. We, along with our family and friends, had the most wonderful evening. We will be dining at Onesto for years to come and will certainly recommend them as a perfect venue option for a rehearsal dinner or wedding!
We chose Onesto as our wedding ceremony and reception venue and couldn't be more pleased with our experience. From start to finish, the coordinator Christine, provided impeccable customer service. Wedding planning can be a bit taxing so having someone who communicated so well and timely, answering all of my questions with such kindness, was priceless. As a bride, I fortunately was able to arrive on wedding day with all the details in place -- the room was exceptionally beautiful and romantic, everything I imagined. Thank you to a great team and especially Christine for helping us pull it all together. And oh yeah, the Holey Moley donut cake was just icing on top!! We look forward to returning for anniversary dinners in the future.
We had our reception at Onesto this past November. We fell in love with the exposed brick and warm atmosphere of the upstairs. Our day of event coordinator was fantastic, truly an expert. The staff was very friendly and everything was well organized. The only thing I would suggest taking into consideration is what size you want your wedding to be. We had initially planned on having 70 guests, thankfully, we ended up having 58. I couldn't imagine having any more guests, as the room was full. Only other downside to the venue is the layout due to the staircase being in the middle of the room. Overall, a great and a unique find.
We were so happy with Onesto - we rented out the second floor for our ceremony and reception and everything was perfect.
The venue is beautiful and felt very Milwaukee :) Our wedding was in October so we had the fireplaces on and it felt cozy and perfect for the season. They were great to work with in arranging everything - they were flexible and helped make everything we wanted happen. We had hot cider at the bar, and everything rearranged in different areas for the ceremony, followed by cocktail hour, then dinner, then dancing.
The food was absolutely fantastic, all amazing housemade pasta. We had donuts from Holey Moley, and because it's all the same owners we could have it under the same contract.
I definitely recommend Onesto - I couldn't be happier we chose it for our wedding.
