Who is Rev. Frank? What’s his story?
Rev. Frank’s doctoral thesis on love and friendship led him to create an innovation he calls TalkPoints, or guided conversations. He discovered that when two people take time to prepare for a conversation by writing down their thoughts first, a powerful and wonderful thing happens when they come together to share their thoughts. And so, Rev. Frank set about to write guided conversations that engaged couples to need to have before marriage. He published the discussions in a book, The Greatest Is Love, which has sold thousands of copies.
The TalkPoints method of making conversations easy was wildly popular with couples, so Rev. Frank began to create “Online Marriage Preparation.” The experience couples used to have meeting in person with Rev. Frank has been re-formatted to make it possible for couples worldwide to benefit from his innovative approach. He also was able to apply his experience coaching a variety of couples, non-religious and religious, gay and straight. He let couples choose which course was best for them: the Basic, Christian, or Catholic. Now thousands of couples have benefitted from this simple tool as they have enjoyed the experience of preparing for their own marriage.

I recommend this marriage preparation course to anyone getting married or wishing to stay connected with their partner after marriage. Life is busy and day-to-day priorities can ea...
sily take all of the attention and focus away from one's relationship. This course, however, provides you with opportunities to check in with each other and really helps you and your partner understand how each other truly feels about different aspects of the relationship. You are able to see where your strengths are and where more communication is needed to strengthen other areas of your relationship. We completed the self-guided course which was easy to use and provided the flexibility we needed for our schedules. Thank you, Rev. Frank, for your guidance through this process.
(From the Groom) This course was a great way for my fiance and I to connect and talk about the things that really matter. I got caught up in the minutiae and stress of planning a w...
edding and needed to re-shift my focus on us as a couple and remember WHY we are getting married. These conversations were pleasant, deep and thoughtful. I firmly believe every couple should take the time to talk about topics that are described in this course before getting married, as it will set a firm foundation for the journey ahead in marriage. (From the Bride) I wasn’t sure what to expect when we decided to do this course. I thought it was a great course. We had great conversations throughout the process and thought it was great to be able to complete this on our own time in the privacy of our own home. It helped both of us do a little reflecting on our relationship and having these open and honest conversations help make the relationship better. I would definitely
recommend to other couples looking for premarital counseling.
This course allowed us to engage in conversations we had not even thought to discuss before marriage. It has brought us closer together and further demonstrated that we are very co...
mpatible. I think sometimes we get caught up with our busy day to day, so this was a great way to slow down and reflect upon the things that are important.- Bride
I enjoyed being able to get her perspective on topics we had not discussed yet. Through this course, my appreciation for my future bride grew even more. I am confident now more than ever, that we hold similar values, life journeys, and goals for our future together. Thank you Rev. Frank! - Groom
I was unsure what to expect when signing up for the non-religious marriage preparation course, but could not be more thankful that I did. I felt that my fiance and I had talked abo...
ut most topics, but this forced us to dig deeper and have conversations related to roles, familial influences, and understanding how we reached where we are today. I will definitely be printing these conversation PDFs and using them throughout our future marriage. Thank you, Reverend Frank, for providing us with the guidance and space to talk freely and learn even more about one another.
Like Myranda, I didn't know what to expect from this course, but I believe that the reflection and conversations will prove helpful in our marriage. We have had talks about many of the topics before this course, but I think it was good to review our opinions. I am grateful for this course giving us the opportunity to have conversations regarding topics that we hadn't thought about. Thank you for giving us the chance to talk freely in a comfortable and open space to learn more about each other and what our future holds.
Me and my fiance are in a long-distance relationship so when we were trying to figure out how we were going to do this, it was a struggle for a while. Your whole process of the vid...
eos and conversations was super simple and flowed great. It’s good to sit down and talk with someone, but this was still a simple and great way to have this counseling with our situation. We had really good conversations and got to talk about a lot that we didn’t even think about. Writing/ typing everything down was very helpful. I would and will highly recommend this course for anyone I know getting married in the future. I know for sure I will go back to these conversations in the future in our marriage
My fiancé and I truly enjoyed it. We were able to reflect on various aspects of our relationship, talk about things we had not considered in the past. This has definitely been a bl...
essing to our current relationship by bringing us even closer and has helped prepare us both mentally and emotionally for our marriage. We went over important topics that need to be explored in every relationship before marriage, as they will have a tremendous impact. I would definitely recommend couples to take the time to connect, learn, and experience a marriage course. This was a blessing to us !
Writing about the various topics individually before meeting together to discuss was the most helpful part of this course. We felt as though we had talked about these things before...
, but the questions and prompts brought more knowledge and discussion to the surface. We got into some really awesome, deep conversations that have made us remember why we fell in love in the first place! We enjoyed talking through an important issue/decision we’ve been facing the most. It was the most in-depth conversation we have had about the issue and left us feeling better about our progress towards this big life decision. Before this, it was actually a conversation that has been avoided because it made us both tense. After completing the course, we’ve changed for the better. We’re both more honest, patient, and open in terms of how and when we communicate about things. We feel like the communication process we learned is something we will really value and go back to when we have big decisions to make. We know how to use the tools and feel better equipped to talk through major life events and decisions as they arise. Should we have friends getting married soon, we’d certainly recommend a course like this to them. It’s extremely important that couples think and talk through these things before marriage. We are lucky that we don't have any pressing issues in our relationship, but this course was still valuable in helping us reflect on some things we haven't been talking about recently. Plus, life is full of challenges and this prep course will help us tackle new issues when they arise. We really appreciated how much Reverend Frank loves the sacrament of marriage and how passionate he is about this. It's really uplifting to see and has made us more excited about the commitment we are making to each other!
Aaron and I enjoyed this course. We both had a day off to spend time together going through all the parts. We were able to have amazing conversations that challenged us to thing de...
eply about all aspects of our relationship, marriage, and future. We chose to do it in one day because we had the time and know the upcoming month would be very busy and it was very manageable. This course was well written and so helpful for outlining all the aspects of marriage and details we needed to discuss prior to marriage and what to think about throughout out marriage. I would highly recommend this resource to anyone looking for some pre-marital counseling, especially when time is an issue, you can pace this out over weeks or complete it in a long day if you have the time without interruptions.

I found the experience quite enjoyable. These are conversations that both Zharmyn and I have been meaning to have but never had a chance to sit down and work through. I specifica...
lly really liked the “Issues” conversation, as it gave us a nice template to use when discussing further issues. Also, given the current state of the pandemic, having access to all this material online was extremely convenient. We were able to go at our own pace without having to worry about what was going on with the rest of the world. For any couple thinking about going through this course I would say do it! The pace is extremely flexible and if you go into it earnestly, it's worth the time it takes. - Stephen
I found this course to be extremely helpful with getting through these important conversations. These are things that Stephen and I talk about a lot in passing, but haven’t gone through in a serious and deliberate matter. We both loved the template outline in the “Issues” exercise and are planning to continue using it in the future. Because of my work in healthcare, I’ve been extremely sensitive to the current state of the pandemic, and being able to complete this course from the safety of my own home was a true blessing. For any couple interested in this course I would say, take as much time as you need on these exercises. It’s easy to just go through them quickly without taking the time each conversation needs, but it will benefit you greatly if you stretch these out and give them the time they need. - Zharmyn
Thank you very much for creating such an informative E-course for marriage preparation. It was extremely convenient to be able to do it at home rather than go somewhere, especially...
with everything going on in the world. The courses were very enjoyable. There were a few awkward moments of silence, but we were able to work through it without arguments. We’ve been together now for 6 years, and I feel that after taking this course our love and relationship got a little stronger. I thank you for your time and for your services. - Jesus
We would like to thank you for providing the E-course marriage preparation. You made the course easily accessible and comfortable to complete in our own home environment. As a coup...
le we were able to sit down and calmly watch the videos and write our responses as we went along. We found it enjoyable and you made the topics easy to talk about. We have been together for 6 years and will be marrying this May 7, 2022. We know that marriage is hard work and not every moment will be a happy moment, but we do know that life is based on those "moments" and making them memorable. We learned through your teachings that if we are willing to work together through these life moments, our marriage will be long lasting and worthwhile. - Emma
