Open Road Wood Fired Pizza is a mobile wedding catering company based in Knoxville, TN, and serving the surrounding areas. Our authentic mobile Italian pizza debuted in 2013 and has since cranked out tens of thousands of pizzas across the country. Now based in Knoxville, you will see our oven travelling the highways and backroads of East Tennessee. We strive to separate ourselves from a traditional caterer by providing an altogether unique experience for our clients. The smell of freshly prepared ingredients, the sight of dough tossed in the air, and the sound of a crackling wood-fired oven are the moments we pride ourselves on. Open Road Wood Fired Pizza has a passion for pizza and weddings.

Owner

Cory (CJ), the owner of Open Road Wood Fired Pizza, has been in the business for nearly 15 years. First, managing a mobile pizza business in Central Virginia during his college years. He then partnered with other pizza experts to run a successful mobile business in Minneapolis, Minnesota until the Covid-19 pandemic forced the hard decision to close in 2020. Traveling for the next several years, CJ (and our trusty pizza oven!), settled in Knoxville in early 2024 to hike, paddle, farm and serve delicious pizza to the folks of East Tennessee

detail. The pizzas were incredible—fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious and unique the food was. It added such a fun and memorable vibe to the evening. CJ and his staff handled a large crowd with such ease and kept the line moving in such a quick and timely manner. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in both the food and the service. So thankful we chose them for such a special day—10/10 recommend for weddings, events, or any gathering where you want people to leave full and happy!
