Hi! My name is Nicole Spinello (@nicolespinellomakeup on Instagram!) I am the owner of Opia Hair & Beauty Studio. We are a team of professional makeup artists, hair stylists and colorists. We offer a variety of services on-location or in salon including trials, hair styling, makeup artistry, airbrush makeup application, lash application, hair cutting/coloring for events such as weddings, bridal showers, engagement parties, baby showers, photo shoots and any other event you want to feel your best! We believe in enhancing your natural beauty by utilizing the power of hair and makeup to make you feel the best you have ever felt. Our team of artists also specialize in the most relevant hair coloring and styling techniques (balayage, babylights, foilayage) to help you achieve your dream hair color prior to your big day! F’IN OBSESSED. If you want a glam look, Nicole is your girl. When I finished my trial, I knew my MUA search was done. From a business standpoint, she is quick with communication, organized, was punctual and stayed on time for our getting ready timeline. From a personality standpoint, she is so kind, down to earth and we vibed from the jump. I unfortunately forgot the second artist's name that came with her, but he was so much fun and brought such good energy. Both Nicole and the other MUA were so versatile. I had bridesmaids who wanted super glam makeup and then other bridesmaids who wanted a no makeup - makeup look. They were able to accommodate everyone and executed each look flawlessly. My bridesmaids couldn’t stop talking about how good they looked and felt, which is exactly what I wanted for them. My makeup photographed so well, I still can’t get over how good she made me look. I can’t wait for my next excuse to have Nicole do my makeup!
Nicole and her team were absolutely amazing. They were so accommodating, even fitting me in for a quick blow out the day before my wedding! They were punctual, professional and beyond amazing. My wedding makeup and hair was so dreamy and perfect. Truly, the best! ♥️
I planned my micro wedding in 3 weeks and was able to book Nicole's studio 2 weeks before. We had 9 people for hair and makeup including the bride and had to be ready very early. We were able to go in Salon the morning of, they opened up extra early for us. They made me and my girls feel glamorous all day. I definitely plan to return for future services. Also Nicole gave me her cell number which I appreciated as it made coordinating so much easier.

I had used Nicole for my sister's wedding 5 years ago and did not hesitate to use her again for my own wedding. I had my trial with her and told her I didn't want anything too heavy since I don't wear a ton of makeup in my everyday life. She delivered what I was looking for flawlessly. My makeup on my wedding turned out even better than the trial. I felt like I was wearing no makeup at all but looked flawless but most importantly, I looked like myself. My makeup held up all day despite sweating it up on the dancefloor. I would definitely recommend her to any bride.
Nicole is an amazing hair and makeup artist. Nicole did my makeup for myself, my mother and all of my bridesmaids on my wedding day and there was plenty of time to spare. Every bridesmaid loved their makeup and it’s not always easy to make 8 different woman happy but she did! I always recommend Nicole to every bride to be! My makeup looked flawless, came out amazing in pictures and lasted through the afterparty. I found my go to person for any event I need.
Truly the best makeup artist out there! First found her three years ago for my cousins wedding and my family is still talking about what an amazing job she did. Flawless makeup without it looking cakey or not like yourself. I’ve recommended her to tons of friends recently married or engaged and they’ve all been so grateful to have found her as well. Don’t waste your money on other trials, Nicole is a home run
My hair and makeup came out beautifully for my wedding day! My bridesmiads were pleased! Nicole, the owner, listened to my ideas and perfected them so that everything was better than I had envisioned. She is professional and experienced. Nicole and her staff were punctual and efficient at my house on the big day!
Nicole of Opia Hair and Makeup Studio did my makeup on my wedding day and it was FLAWLESS. We decided on airbrush just a few days before my wedding - I had my trial about 6 months before my wedding day and used powder. Nicole assured me I would love the airbrush and she was right! My makeup was amazing - I got endless compliments and it lasted perfectly all night! I even just booked Nicole to do my makeup as a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding! She's truly amazing at what she does.

Nicole did a phenomenal job on my makeup for my sister's wedding in August 2018. Despite the 100% humidity that day my makeup stayed put and looked great in all the photos even at the end of the evening. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly what I hoped for. Would definitely use her again and recommend her for future user.
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding last year, and the hair and makeup was done at Opia Hair & Makeup Studio. As soon as I walked in, I was so impressed by the modern decor and friendly environment. I have short hair and never know how to style it, but Kiara did beachy waves with a braid and it came out BEAUTIFUL. Nicole, the owner, is so bubbly and knowledgeable and knows all the ins and outs of hair and makeup. Nicole did my makeup and it came out amazing. My makeup lasted all night without having to touch it up all all! Overall I had an amazing experience here and even went back to have my color done, which came out just like the picture I showed them. Nicole and her team really cater to their customers and make your hair/makeup visions into a reality! If you have checked out this salon yet you definitely have to, you won't be disappointed!
I had gotten my hair color done by Nicole prior to a wedding I was in and the color came out phenomenal!! Absolutely love it! I got my hair style and makeup done by Nicole as well for the wedding, she made my hair look perfectly slick. Nothing was sticking out and nothing came out for the whole night. My makeup made my skin look flawless, the eyeshadow was perfectly blended. Not only is she good at what she does she is such a genuinely caring and sweet human being. I could give her a million stars if I could!!! Most definitely the most talented makeup artist/ hair dresser I have ever met!!
I visited Opia Hair & Makeup Studio with my mom for a hair and makeup trial just a few weeks before my wedding. The salon is beautiful and relaxing. Nicole tested a few different looks on each of us, took photos for us to contemplate at home, and did not pressure us into making a final decision on the spot. On my wedding day, Nicole traveled out to the North Fork AirBnb we were staying. She was prompt and made sure we stuck to our timeline for the morning. She listened to what we wanted and was extremely patient with my mom, who was nervous about looking "too done up." We were thrilled with the results. I would recommend Nicole and Opia Hair & Makeup Studio without hesitation.
Nicole is extremely professional and friendly. I met Nicole through mutual friends and she did my trial makeup for my wedding which I fell in love with and I booked her immediately. On my wedding day she did my make up and my wedding party of 10. She adjusted her makeup techniques to everyone’s wants and needs and is up to date on all current trends. Everyone loved their makeup and it lasted all day and all night. I highly recommend her to all my friends and family.
Nicole is a wonderful makeup artist-my daughter had her do our makeup for her wedding and the results were fantastic. As the mother of the bride I didn’t want to be made up too over the top but Nicole understood this and the results were a more improved version of me and never knew how my eyes could “pop” and look so pretty! The overall result was great n made me feel confident n pretty too!
Nicole did my makeup for my wedding and she was absolutely amazing! From the trial to the actual day, she was so genuine and really cared about making me feel so beautiful on the most important and exciting day of my life. She was patient, extremely knowledgeable and made me feel 1000% at ease that morning which, as a bride, is so important! I loved her work so much I have since been a regular at her salon Opia. Nicole and her team did my hair and makeup for my wedding on October 19, 2018. They were all so fun and personable and easy to work with! We were even done early which was amazing as there was no added stress on an already stressful day. I recently was a bridesmaid in a wedding party. The hair and makeup were both provided by Opia Hair & Makeup Studio. I first must say, Nicole and Kiara were absolutely great, they listened to everything that I had wanted for both my hair and makeup. Nicole spent her time intricately perfecting my makeup to give me the exact look I wanted. Kiara then made my hair look incredible after simply describing the hairstyle that I had envisioned. I’ve been in many wedding parties and I’ve had mediocre experiences in the past, I must say, that this experience with Opia Hair and Makeup Studio exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be using them again in the future and would highly recommend them for any upcoming special event!
For someone who does not like to wear a lot of make up and wanted to feel and look as natural as possible, Nicole was able to make my vision a reality! She did the make up for all 8 of my bridesmaids plus my 2 Moms all on her own and with perfection. Everyone was extremely happy with their results. I also visited Opia days before and had my hair colored by Nicole for the Wedding. My experience overall was fantastic!
Nicole did my makeup for my wedding, as well as my 7 bridesmaids.. She did an amazing job, very professional, I highly recommend Nicole.. My makeup stayed on the entire day/night and even when I woke up the next morning it was still looking good.. I got married on a very hot day and my makeup didn’t sweat or run at all.. Flawless!

Hi!!! My name is Nicole Fonovich. I have been working with the beautiful brides of NYC & Long Island for almost 10 years. I am a bridal makeup artist/ salon owner of Opia Hair & Beauty Studio based out of Massapequa, NY. (most of our bridal work is done on-location, so no worries!) My team and I LOVE weddings. We love connecting with brides, creating friendships and helping you all feel the most confident and beautiful you have ever felt on the day of your wedding.
