Nope, we are not a DJ! (or a band) We are something completely different! Opus One is a team of highly skilled musicians, composers, and musicologists who write and perform new music for weddings. Each piece we write is tailored to your venue, your story, your wedding aesthetics, and of course - you! Let us transform your wedding day with a new piece of music that is entirely yours. Want something new for string quartet? Done! A short fanfare for trumpets to announce your arrival? Done! A new song for your first dance? Done! We can write for any instrument or group of instruments. We can also do more intricate projects like setting your wedding vows to music or creating a separate theme for the bride and for the groom that later can be played together once you are married. There is no project too big or too small and you are limited only by your imagination. How does it work? The process is simple: First, we meet with you to go over your big day. Next, our composer Patrick writes new music to fit your celebration as we select musicians to perform. And lastly we transform your wedding day with the premier of your new music. We help remove wedding planning stress for couples because after the first meeting, we take care of the rest so you can focus on other items on your to-do list. Music for weddings shouldn't be limited to what has already been done or what you can find on the radio.
