Megan, the building’s coordinator, is amazing! She is so wonderful to work with. Everyone, especially Megan, was so helpful and really helped with our vision of our ceremony and re...
ception. They really make it easy while planning.
I planned my wedding in 7 months, and the History Center was the only venue I looked at in person. I could have looked at 100 places and still would have chosen the History Center....
The building is beautiful and unique, but the staff is what really puts it over the top. Megan P's support made me feel like I was her top priority, even though I know I wasn't her only client. She answered every email and phone call quickly and with a great attitude. Our wedding day was everything I wanted it to be, and that was in large part because of this special place. Our guests raved about the venue. If you are getting married in Orlando, do yourself a favor and book the History Center. You won't regret it.
We had an amazing experience working with Taylor and Megan in the planning of our ceremony in the Courtroom, and our reception in the Chapin Gallery. These two ladies constantly we...
nt above and beyond making sure that we could make everything exactly what we were picturing. I don't think a bride has ever been less stressed (planning a wedding in 6 months) than I was because of these two!
This venue was absolutely amazing. I can't say enough. We spent most of the planning process with their employee Taylor, who was very kind, friendly and made sure that our night wa...
s perfect. Taylor's, assistants Megan and Ashley were on hand for our night and went WAY above and beyond what we could have expected and helped us with all of the little things day-of. The building itself is beautiful with the perfect amount of history and new-age that made our night stand out to all of our guests. I couldn't recommend the Orange County Regional History Center any more!!!
We held our wedding at the Orange County Regional History Center and were so happy with our site selection. We originally found this venue because we were searching for locations ...
that would allow us to bring our own alcohol. I was so happy we discovered the History Center as an option. I wanted a venue that was unique, that didn’t require a tremendous amount of decoration, and that had a beautiful indoor ceremony space. It was also the perfect location for us because our wedding was multi-phased. We had two opening receptions (hosted separately by bride & groom), followed by the ceremony, followed by private bride & groom time, followed by the reception, and all five “events” were held in five different perfect spaces within the building. We ended up using four different floors, not including the ground floor atrium where guests entered and departed. They really enjoyed going from spot to spot and all the different environments. The 1920s court room was gorgeous for the ceremony, and the next-door Jury Room was the perfect “gentleman’s room” for the groom’s reception. We worked with Taylor all the way through the process, and she was incredibly professional, kind, responsive and knowledgeable. She also had one of her event people, Dawn, who was there for our rehearsal and our entire wedding day, from set-up to clean-up, who was also sharp and friendly. We had 134 guests at our wedding, which I think was just the right size for the space.
The team at the history center is amazing! It's a great, unexpected location. So many of our guests commented on how much they loved our venue!
We absolutely loved the History Center. We used them for our ceremony only. It is such a unique venue filled with history. Our guests loved it!
You can go throughout the whole ...
museum to take pictures with your wedding party! We loved working with Brittany. She answered all of our questions, helped with the rehearsal and ceremony, and was just such a great part of our big day. I highly recommend them!
I would not have looked at any other venue if I knew that we would have such an amazing experience! Georgianna was the best to work with. She made sure that we had everything we ...
needed. She not only set up all our decorations, but she also contacted our vendors and coordinated their set up and tear down. It was so nice that we didn't have to worry about anything! Our wedding was perfect thanks to Georgianna!
The Orange County Regional History Center is the perfect venue for a wedding! The classic feel of the historic courtroom is perfect for a traditional ceremony, while the beautiful ...
lighting and ambiance in the reception hall brings in a more modern feel. There are countless picture opportunities both indoors and outside. The best part of having your wedding at the history center is the amazing customer service. Brittany was our coordinator, and she handled everything from calling vendors to get quotes for me to setting out favors and decorations day of. The staff at our wedding was so polite and always ready to help with whatever we needed, with smiles on their faces! There is a security officer outside who will ask passers-by to move out of the way for pictures, and the coordinator keeps track of your timing so the night runs smoothly. Everything was better than we could have ever dreamed!
Our decision to get married was the best decision I've ever made...well, other than my husband, of course! It was so easy being a bride there. Georgianna, the wedding coordinator, ...
was beyond helpful and organized. Bless her heart, she even gave her personal cell phone number to my mom who called far too many times. It was more than we could have hoped for.
First of all, the History Center offers indoor and outdoor options for both the ceremony and reception. We really wanted an outdoor ceremony, but being in Florida we understood tha...
t the weather might not allow for that. Sure enough, it was miserably hot and muggy the day of the wedding. Brittany from the History Center called about 4 hours before the ceremony and offered to move it inside for us. It was a fantastic option, and really saved our reception. The indoor reception space is a blank slate and easily transformed.
Secondly, Brittany from the History was absolutely amazing! Even on the wedding day, she was walking around with a purpose making sure everything went perfectly. We were taking wedding photos around the property and she was walking around asking people to temporarily move from the area so the pictures turned out great. She also made sure I always had water and that we were always happy. We couldn't have been happier with the History Center!
My husband and I had our ceremony in the courtroom. It was unique and beautiful. We also had a cocktail hour and reception there. We had a large wedding. The staff, especially Brit...
tany, made it wonderful. Our guests love the venue and the wedding. We received so many compliments. I would do it all over again!
We had our wedding here in July. They have so many awesome additions that are included with the venue rental. The new crystal beaded curtains were a great touch to bring out some...
bling, the lightning was the best!! The green and pink LED lighting that they provided made the room transform. Brittany is great to work with and I was able to make most of my wedding DIY on a budget!
We chose this venue because we wanted to get married in a unique place with some personal meaning. The 1927 court room did just that for us! The traveling exibit hall was also amaz...
ing for the reception. You really can turn that room into any vision you have. It also comes with a lot of extras which made it an extremely affordable venue. It came with uplighting, dance floor, tables and chairs. For a little extra it comes with an entire day of coordination team! While there were some mistakes made on the coordinators part(a little miscommunication here and there) overall the service I received was top of the line and they went way out of their way to make my day perfect. I could really tell the team there cared about me, my groom, and our families. I would highly recommend this venue, its unique but still has a traditional feel.
I attended a wedding at the History Center about 6 years ago, and when I got engaged and ws looking at venues, it was on my short-list of preferred locations. When I went there and...
saw the outdoor Heritage Square space again, I knew it was perfect. I began working with Brittany Andrews, who was wonderful to work with. She was my initial contact, worked with me throughout the 15 months of my engagement/planning period, and was my "day of" wedding coordinator as well. Brittany was always prompt in responding to my calls and emails, went above and beyond what I expected and was willing to put together all the "extra" DIY projects for the wedding that I made. I literally handed off an SUV trunk full of items that had to be arranged, placed, and assembled at the reception venue - and it was put together by Brittany and her team exactly as I wanted. I had a wonderful experience there, my wedding venue was beautiful and I owe so much of that to the staff I worked with!!
I had my ceremony in their courthouse and reception in the reception hall. I absolutely loved this venue and the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and available for questions...
throughout the planning process. The staff kept in touch with me and made sure that the day of the wedding went smoothly and they maintained contact with all my vendors. I could not have asked for a more amazing wedding and I loved the originality and uniqueness of the space. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
I was a little nervous about the History Center, because it's not a "traditional" location, but I was happily surprised! Georgianna was our contact and she was great! She stayed ...
the whole night until the very end to make sure that everything was perfect from beginning to end. We got so very many compliments on the location, it turned out beautifully!
The history center offers a different spin on the traditional ballroom. Holding the ceremony in the courtroom allows for a church feel with all of the wood and pews. It doesn't t...
ake much to decorate it appropriately. The cocktail reception in the foyer allows for your guests to get some food and drinks while the wedding party takes photos. It was a big bonus that my guests never had tonleave the building tom enjoy our whole evening. Upstairs in the reception room, the lighting makes it individualized to any theme. My flowers did change hue with the lighting that we chose, but it still looked beautiful. The dance floor is big, and we did have so many people dancing that the ac had a bit of a problem keeping up. The best part of the history center is Georgiana the wedding coordinator. She was amazing tom work with, and very very accommodating to all of my questions. She made sure that everything was set up per my directions. It was a great venue for our wedding!
Georgiana and Team were absolutely wonderful and easy to work with! The History Center had so many positives, we couldn't resist- formal enough setting, fit our vintage theme, and...
needed limited decoration! It was the perfect setting for our ceremony!
