. Here is where Joe and Sarah come in. They are the two most sweet and caring humans you will ever meet. Let me tell you why I say they are the sweetest and caring humans I have met. They were willing to work with our psychotic schedule and always had a smile on their face when they saw us. Joe made the whole dance sequence when our song choice was in Korean (he doesn’t know Korean), the beats changed from 8 beats to 10 randomly in the song, and the song was SUPER slow. It was a hard song, but he somehow made such a beautiful choreographed dance for the both of us that was simple, easy to remember, but also unique. I felt horrible for doing this but I made Joe change the dance sequence the very last minute because I was twirling around too much and felt sick after one of the lessons. He adjusted it on the fly, asked me multiple times if I felt comfortable, if it was okay with me, and to let him know if it didn’t work. Sarah and her attention to detail gave us pointers and tips to not look like a moving robot (lol), and for the dance to just “flow” better. I gave ourselves a very generous F- grade our first lesson and wondered if we could pull off our first dance at all. Our last lesson which was roughly about 2 weeks ago? I gave us a Solid B+ (only because it all depends on how well we pull off the actual dance on the 12th). If I had to do it all over again, I would most definitely reach out to Joe and Sarah again in a heartbeat. They were the most supportive and gentle instructors anyone can ask for and I truly feel blessed to have gotten a chance to meet them and have them play a special part in our big day. Thank you Joe and Sarah! We will make you proud!

We asked our coordinator for recommendations and she sent over Orange County Wedding Dance based on her previous clients reviews. I put in an inquiry on their website and was surprised Joe called back just a few hours later, asking when we’d like to come in. We came in for our free consultation and Joe listened to our music and broke it down and simplified it. We decided to go through with lessons and we got so many compliments at the wedding. Joe was always very professional and personable and helped us understand dance in terms we could understand. He helped us to look less stiff and would give us feedback to make the dance look more effortless and natural. Sara was always there as well and was always friendly and easy to talk to. It is thanks to these two that our first dance was not something we had to worry about on our wedding day and would recommend to anyone getting married.

st learners, but we sure have a good time trying. It probably sounds cliche, but we are madly in love and we laugh so much its sometimes hard to concentrate. My fiance has a larger than life personality so it makes for fun experience trying to perfect our moves without him improvising and making me laugh uncontrollably. Joe and Sara make you feel like youve been life long friends, They are an adorable couple, and we are so glad to have them help us with our journey to our big day! If anyone is interested in a first dance, they are worth calling! We are hoping to impress our guests on our big day with our new moves, and we couldnt have done it without them!!

ce on our wedding day, but neither of us ever made the effort to look for a dance instructor. We were just under 2 months away from our wedding day when I decided to take initiative and search for a dance studio that could work with our robotic bodies. I scrolled through a few studios until I came across Orange County Wedding Dance Studios and saw a bunch of reviews where people were raving about Joe and Sara helping people like us who can't dance if their life depended on it. I sent the info to my fiancée who also looked through the reviews until she was comfortable enough to agree to give them a call. We were surprised that they answered on the first call (we have a weird thing about having high expectations about customer service). We were also pleasantly surprised that they offered a FREE consultation and thought why not give it a shot since it's free anyways. We booked our free consultation and patiently waited for our anxiety to kick in before we made a fool of ourselves in front of others who will get a free comedy skit from watching us. We got to the studio a little early but that was a terrible idea. Each minute that got closer to our consultation increased both of our blood pressure and our sweat glands were working in overdrive. Our worst nightmare, our fear of dancing in front of people is now upon us as we walked through the front door. We walked towards the back and saw a huge ballroom. This is it, this is how I'm going to die of embarrassment. We saw that the studio was completely empty so that helped lower our anxiety a little bit. We were then greeted by Joe and Sara who then asked us to have a seat with them so we could have a little chat. After a few minutes, they asked for us to play the song that we wanted to dance to and then asked us to follow along and try to count the beats. Once we were able to recognize the beat, Joe then asked us to stand up, and we watched as he made some simple steps to go along with the beat. As he was stepping, he was also explaining to us which foot to move, which leg had the majority of our weight, and how to pause. We observed him a few times before we could understand what he was doing and then felt comfortable enough to try it on our own. We didn't even realize it but all of our anxiety, our high blood pressure, and our profuse sweating had disappeared already. We didn't even know that it was going away while Joe was talking to us, breaking down the music for us, and showing us these simple steps. At that point, I knew that Joe and Sara were the perfect dance instructors for us. They were able to make our fear of dancing go away without us even realizing it. After the consultation, we immediately booked them. That was the best decision ever. It helped us bond in a different way and we just feel so accomplished each time we get something right. We're now 3 sessions in and feel wayyy more comfortable dancing even if they are just small and simple steps. Some times there are other people there dancing too, but everyone is just in their own corner and focused on their own dancing. We can't wait to have the finished product.

wedding for 3 years and our first dance is the one thing we've been putting on the back burner. We went through song after song and finally chose one that we liked, that didn't sound like the typical slow song we hear at weddings. There was one problem. If we couldn't dance slowly/simply to it like kids do at high school dances, how are we going to dance? Finally about 2 months before our wedding, my fiance did research and found Orange County Wedding Dance Studios. We saw that they offer a free consultation, so we decided to go for it. It was now or never. I made the phone call and reached Joe, who walked me through the process. He was so friendly and informative, and it's been such an awesome experience since. We learned so much during our first consultation with Joe & Sara that we didn't think we could ever learn. We figured that if we didn't have the skill already and couldn't get it all these years, it's not going to change now. Ironically, by the end of the consultation, my fiance said to me, "I'm so excited, let's do this," and we committed to learning our first dance, literally. We just finished our 3rd session and we've learned so, so much. We always vow to practice more at home but on some days, life gets in the way. When our next session gets closer, I'm feeling stressed but my fiance is the one pushing us to practice more. He told me, "This is the one thing for us, just us," so he's really motivated. It also helps that Joe & Sara are super patient with us and motivating at the same time. It's such an awesome experience to be able to learn something brand new together as a couple but even more special that we formed this bond with Joe & Sara to make us feel confident enough to take a leap in this new journey of ours. My fiance knows I hate trying new things, and I hate doing things I'm not good at, but seeing his face light up when we get a new dance step right makes it all worth it. At the end of every session, my fiance tells me he's proud of us. Who knows, we might actually join others on the dance floor in the near future!

We are taking lessons for our first dance, that fingers crossed, is next year but we are so looking forward to it! turally, we were nervous. They made the experience fun and their friendliness makes that nervous feeling non existent. They were flexible in scheduling, and the prices are reasonable. Joe is a fantastic instructor. You will not be disappointed!

. Egads! So how awesome were Joe and Sara? Here are some examples: 1) They are incredibly flexible with your schedule. Not available until 9 pm on a weeknight? They can do that. What about 9 am on a weekend? They can do that too. 2) My fiancé and I and my dad and I hadn’t made a final decision on the songs we would use for our dances. Joe and Sara listened to all the songs and helped us narrow down our choices by considering the speed, dance styles and overall emotion of the songs. However, if you have your song decision made in advance, this will save you time to go right into dancing. 3) Knowing that we were running out of time to learn a dance to a 3.5 minute song, Joe cut our songs to more manageable times, and gave us several cut options. The cuts were seamless and very professional. Our DJ complimented us on our edited songs! 4) The lessons are 45 minutes long which is the perfect amount of time. You learn a lot but the time flies by before you get frustrated or overwhelmed with choreography. 5) Joe and Sara were gracious when I explained that my dad was just not getting some of the moves we were learning. Joe downshifted and made adjustments that my dad could handle. At the wedding, dad and I did fantastic! 6) Overall, Joe and Sara were extremely patient and gave us options. It wasn’t “you must do it exactly like this,” but said “you could do it like this, or spin her like this.” This was very much appreciated! My husband and I had a great time learning to dance and we (mostly) nailed the routine at our wedding. Our dance lessons were some of our favorite part of the wedding planning process and we treated it like date nights. Thanks Joe and Sara for keeping it fun!
