Choosing Joe and Sara was easily one of the BEST wedding decisions we made and we absolutely could not recommend them more. Thanks to their skill, choreography, and the way they make learning dancing so easy, our dance went perfectly on our wedding day. They had asked us all the right questions we never would have thought of to make sure that our grand entrance flowed smoothly into our first dance, and take into account how the audience was seated. My husband and I are far from naturally good dancers, yet we had the loudest cheers from the crowd and we felt so incredibly special to be performing our first dance together amongst our closest family and friends. Our first dance was truly one of the most special moments in our life and a memory we’ll never forget. After the dance, when we were greeting guests at each table, so many guests called out how impressed they were with our dance — among the many things at our wedding they could’ve commented on, what stuck out most to them was our dance. I don’t normally leave reviews but Joe and Sara are so amazing that I felt compelled to give them the praise and credit they so deserve! My fiancé and I were looking for wedding dance lessons on Yelp and reached out to several studios in OC for pricing. Joe and Sara are the only ones that offer a free lesson, so we decided to give them a try, and after our first lesson, we knew we had to book them without even needing to try anybody else! Joe and Sara are both so genuine, sweet, talented, and such great teachers. In our first lesson, Joe taught us the foundations of counts and basic moves, and explained everything so clearly that it was just so easy to understand and mind blowing at the same time. They also asked us to fill out a short questionnaire so they could better understand our wedding vision, who we are as a couple, etc., which was such a thoughtful touch. We’ve had 3 lessons so far — each one has been amazing and we always look forward to our next lesson! Joe listened carefully to the first dance song we had picked out, and helped choreograph the right moves in the right places. Although we were both a bit nervous about dancing because we have zero experience, he makes learning dance so easy and fun, and we are so excited by the moves we’ve learned so far and even feel confident enough to teach our family some of them. Joe is also very responsive to texts, so it is super easy to schedule subsequent dance lessons with him, and he frequently goes over our scheduled time if no one is scheduled afterwards, because he genuinely enjoys teaching and cares about making sure our dance is perfect. We highly, highly recommend Joe and Sara to any couples looking for wedding dance lessons, and are so looking forward to wrapping up our dance over the next couple lessons!

Joe and Sara graciously taught us a mesmerizing DEATH DROP move. Initially, apprehension loomed, but upon executing it, an exhilarating sense of vitality surged through us. Out of a few vendors we reached out to in order to secure a good spot for dance lessons, Sarah was the first to reach out, within just a few hours! We are quite a ways out from our wedding, but they were happy to take us on and we scheduled out the lessons at our pace. I have zero hand eye coordination and have a memory of a goldfish and have never been a “dancer” so when my coordinator started asking questions about my “first dance” I knew, I needed to find someone that will legitimately teach me like I am 5. Here is where Joe and Sarah come in. They are the two most sweet and caring humans you will ever meet. Let me tell you why I say they are the sweetest and caring humans I have met. They were willing to work with our psychotic schedule and always had a smile on their face when they saw us. Joe made the whole dance sequence when our song choice was in Korean (he doesn’t know Korean), the beats changed from 8 beats to 10 randomly in the song, and the song was SUPER slow. It was a hard song, but he somehow made such a beautiful choreographed dance for the both of us that was simple, easy to remember, but also unique. I felt horrible for doing this but I made Joe change the dance sequence the very last minute because I was twirling around too much and felt sick after one of the lessons. He adjusted it on the fly, asked me multiple times if I felt comfortable, if it was okay with me, and to let him know if it didn’t work. Sarah and her attention to detail gave us pointers and tips to not look like a moving robot (lol), and for the dance to just “flow” better. I gave ourselves a very generous F- grade our first lesson and wondered if we could pull off our first dance at all. Our last lesson which was roughly about 2 weeks ago? I gave us a Solid B+ (only because it all depends on how well we pull off the actual dance on the 12th). If I had to do it all over again, I would most definitely reach out to Joe and Sarah again in a heartbeat. They were the most supportive and gentle instructors anyone can ask for and I truly feel blessed to have gotten a chance to meet them and have them play a special part in our big day. Thank you Joe and Sarah! We will make you proud!

My wife and I have zero experience dancing, but Joe and Sara made it so easy and fun to learn everything we needed for our big day. Joe did an excellent job adjusting his teaching to accommodate our different learning styles and now we both have a renewed interest in dance! My fiancé (at the time, now husband!) and I were thinking of taking dance lessons for our upcoming wedding and we were about 2 months out from the wedding when we decided to look into dance lessons. We were both beginners at dance and knew we needed to take some sort of lesson to look like we knew what we were doing. We asked our coordinator for recommendations and she sent over Orange County Wedding Dance based on her previous clients reviews. I put in an inquiry on their website and was surprised Joe called back just a few hours later, asking when we’d like to come in. We came in for our free consultation and Joe listened to our music and broke it down and simplified it. We decided to go through with lessons and we got so many compliments at the wedding. Joe was always very professional and personable and helped us understand dance in terms we could understand. He helped us to look less stiff and would give us feedback to make the dance look more effortless and natural. Sara was always there as well and was always friendly and easy to talk to. It is thanks to these two that our first dance was not something we had to worry about on our wedding day and would recommend to anyone getting married.

My fiance and I were blessed to have found Joe and Sara for our first wedding dance. They are both so easy going and patient. We are probably the oldest couple (over 50) and we love trying new things. That being said, we may not be the quickest learners, but we sure have a good time trying. It probably sounds cliche, but we are madly in love and we laugh so much its sometimes hard to concentrate. My fiance has a larger than life personality so it makes for fun experience trying to perfect our moves without him improvising and making me laugh uncontrollably. First things first, my fiancée and I are the worst dancers EVER. I'm as stiff as a tree and her limbs seem to have a mind of their own. We both see people dancing on shows and on internet videos and both agreed that we would love to learn a dance on our wedding day, but neither of us ever made the effort to look for a dance instructor. We were just under 2 months away from our wedding day when I decided to take initiative and search for a dance studio that could work with our robotic bodies. I scrolled through a few studios until I came across Orange County Wedding Dance Studios and saw a bunch of reviews where people were raving about Joe and Sara helping people like us who can't dance if their life depended on it. I sent the info to my fiancée who also looked through the reviews until she was comfortable enough to agree to give them a call. We were surprised that they answered on the first call (we have a weird thing about having high expectations about customer service). We were also pleasantly surprised that they offered a FREE consultation and thought why not give it a shot since it's free anyways. We booked our free consultation and patiently waited for our anxiety to kick in before we made a fool of ourselves in front of others who will get a free comedy skit from watching us. We got to the studio a little early but that was a terrible idea. Each minute that got closer to our consultation increased both of our blood pressure and our sweat glands were working in overdrive. Our worst nightmare, our fear of dancing in front of people is now upon us as we walked through the front door. We walked towards the back and saw a huge ballroom. This is it, this is how I'm going to die of embarrassment. We saw that the studio was completely empty so that helped lower our anxiety a little bit. We were then greeted by Joe and Sara who then asked us to have a seat with them so we could have a little chat. After a few minutes, they asked for us to play the song that we wanted to dance to and then asked us to follow along and try to count the beats. Once we were able to recognize the beat, Joe then asked us to stand up, and we watched as he made some simple steps to go along with the beat. As he was stepping, he was also explaining to us which foot to move, which leg had the majority of our weight, and how to pause. We observed him a few times before we could understand what he was doing and then felt comfortable enough to try it on our own. We didn't even realize it but all of our anxiety, our high blood pressure, and our profuse sweating had disappeared already. We didn't even know that it was going away while Joe was talking to us, breaking down the music for us, and showing us these simple steps. At that point, I knew that Joe and Sara were the perfect dance instructors for us. They were able to make our fear of dancing go away without us even realizing it. After the consultation, we immediately booked them. That was the best decision ever. It helped us bond in a different way and we just feel so accomplished each time we get something right. We're now 3 sessions in and feel wayyy more comfortable dancing even if they are just small and simple steps. Some times there are other people there dancing too, but everyone is just in their own corner and focused on their own dancing. We can't wait to have the finished product.

My fiance and I (more so me) have been dreading the idea of our first dance at our wedding. We have never danced together in the years we've been together because we both have 2 left feet and no coordination whatsoever. We've been planning our wedding for 3 years and our first dance is the one thing we've been putting on the back burner. We went through song after song and finally chose one that we liked, that didn't sound like the typical slow song we hear at weddings. There was one problem. If we couldn't dance slowly/simply to it like kids do at high school dances, how are we going to dance? Finally about 2 months before our wedding, my fiance did research and found Orange County Wedding Dance Studios. We saw that they offer a free consultation, so we decided to go for it. It was now or never. I made the phone call and reached Joe, who walked me through the process. He was so friendly and informative, and it's been such an awesome experience since. We learned so much during our first consultation with Joe & Sara that we didn't think we could ever learn. We figured that if we didn't have the skill already and couldn't get it all these years, it's not going to change now. Ironically, by the end of the consultation, my fiance said to me, "I'm so excited, let's do this," and we committed to learning our first dance, literally. We just finished our 3rd session and we've learned so, so much. We always vow to practice more at home but on some days, life gets in the way. When our next session gets closer, I'm feeling stressed but my fiance is the one pushing us to practice more. He told me, "This is the one thing for us, just us," so he's really motivated. It also helps that Joe & Sara are super patient with us and motivating at the same time. It's such an awesome experience to be able to learn something brand new together as a couple but even more special that we formed this bond with Joe & Sara to make us feel confident enough to take a leap in this new journey of ours. My fiance knows I hate trying new things, and I hate doing things I'm not good at, but seeing his face light up when we get a new dance step right makes it all worth it. At the end of every session, my fiance tells me he's proud of us. Who knows, we might actually join others on the dance floor in the near future!

Joe and Sarah did an amazing job at teaching my wife and I how to dance for our wedding. We both are not dancers whatsoever and they taught in a way that any level can learn at. They made it fun and interesting and far exceeded our expectations in what we thought we’d learn. Highly recommend this dance studio if you’re looking to have a choreographed dance routine for your first dance at your wedding. Joe and Sarah are wonderful. I went in having zero experience with dancing. My fiancée had a little experience. Naturally, we were nervous. They made the experience fun and their friendliness makes that nervous feeling non existent. They were flexible in scheduling, and the prices are reasonable. Joe is a fantastic instructor. The studio is beautiful, with two huge dance floors. Thank you Joe and Sara for your guidance with TWO dances. My fiancé and I left dance training until six weeks before the wedding so we knew we had to cram our lessons in to our busy schedule. Dad and I waited until three weeks until the big day. Egads! So how awesome were Joe and Sara? Here are some examples: 1) They are incredibly flexible with your schedule. Not available until 9 pm on a weeknight? They can do that. What about 9 am on a weekend? They can do that too. 2) My fiancé and I and my dad and I hadn’t made a final decision on the songs we would use for our dances. Joe and Sara listened to all the songs and helped us narrow down our choices by considering the speed, dance styles and overall emotion of the songs. However, if you have your song decision made in advance, this will save you time to go right into dancing. 3) Knowing that we were running out of time to learn a dance to a 3.5 minute song, Joe cut our songs to more manageable times, and gave us several cut options. The cuts were seamless and very professional. Our DJ complimented us on our edited songs! 4) The lessons are 45 minutes long which is the perfect amount of time. You learn a lot but the time flies by before you get frustrated or overwhelmed with choreography. 5) Joe and Sara were gracious when I explained that my dad was just not getting some of the moves we were learning. Joe downshifted and made adjustments that my dad could handle. At the wedding, dad and I did fantastic! 6) Overall, Joe and Sara were extremely patient and gave us options. It wasn’t “you must do it exactly like this,” but said “you could do it like this, or spin her like this.” This was very much appreciated! My husband and I had a great time learning to dance and we (mostly) nailed the routine at our wedding. Our dance lessons were some of our favorite part of the wedding planning process and we treated it like date nights. Thanks Joe and Sara for keeping it fun!

Sara and Joe helped us choreograph a beautiful wedding dance. They were incredibly patient with us, and were able to work with our four left feet! Had we not moved away from SoCal, we would have loved to continue taking lessons even after our wedding day. We had our classes with Joe and he was so great to work with. I've used The Knot throughout the wedding planning process to find vendors, because I think every bride has her "where do I even start?" moment. However, it was actually my fiance who found Orange County Wedding Dance Studios on The Knot. The first dance has been an element he's really excited and nervous about and getting dance lessons has been on our (long) list of things to do. He honestly could not have picked a better dance studio. Joe and Sara have not only taught us the basics, but have taken in what we've envisioned and created a dance that fits us as a couple and the song we chose. I highly, highly recommend them to any couple looking for help on their first dance. It has been so worth it and I can't wait to show off our moves on our big day!

We loved working with Joe and Sara! We worked with them to choreograph 2 separate dances (for 2 receptions in different states). Their flexibility was great for our busy schedules. My husband had no prior dance experience, and he appreciated Joe breaking down the choreography into manageable pieces and slowly working up to more advanced moves. The choreography was beautiful without being "cheesy" or over-the-top. Many guests commented that it was the best first dance they had ever seen. My fiancé and I wanted some direction for our first dance. We didn’t want anything theatrical but wanted to look competent slow dancing. We both probably hadn’t slow danced since high school! We worked with Joe who was great! He listened to what we wanted and taught us some foundational steps we could make our own. He can choreograph an entire dance for your first song and can add whatever moves you feel comfortable with. He was so patient with us and was so great to work with! I highly recommend this place!

I was really impressed to how Joe created a coreography for us. He is very knowledgeable and in the end we had the perfect dance tailored to the song we chose. Furthermore, Joe was very patient with us and broke down the dance steps so we could learn more conveniently. we felt totally comfortable with the dance lessons and I recommend this studio 100%.

At a certain point we told them we were getting a little overwhelmed with the dance routine so they were able to work their magic and modify our wedding songs to make it more doable. Joe and Sara truly are amazing! My husband and I have absolutely NO dance experience and I can honestly say we didn’t know where to put our hands before taking their class. They also offer a lot of discounts/deals on items you will likely need to purchase for the big day. My only critique would be the new Honeymoon fund option. I preferred the look and setup on honeyfund.com. Otherwise, a great tool and easy to use website for your special day. Highly recommended!

Joe and Sara are AMAZING!! So nice and friendly. Joe helped my dad and I learn some nice, basic moves for us to make our father-daughter dance look graceful. Then Joe helped my now-husband and I learn a killer dance routine for our first dance!! We did an upbeat, fully choreographed dance to Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs, and the crowd went wild!! We took 6 dance lessons from Joe and really was the perfect amount to fully nail the dance! We can't recommend Joe and Sara enough!! A little pricey, but they do give you a discount when you buy a bigger package of classes. Thumbs up all around!!
