But trust and quality are essential to wedding gown care, and museum training was the best possible preparation for the work I do now. Making brides and moms happy is also very special, and I love watching your face light up when you come to inspect your gown after cleaning . Sometimes your mom even cries when she sees what we can do with her gown and veil or your grandmother's gown and veil. After nearly thirty years and many, many, thousands of gowns, it's still fun to be part of your wedding experience.

and slightly open after a move. Upon recently opening it, I found a dress not only discolored by time, but discovered it had been used as a comfy nest for mice. There were stains, droppings and tears in the delicate fabric. I brought the dress in, hoping for the best, but understanding it may never be presentable or functional. When I went to pick it up yesterday, I was f l o o r e d. It was stunningly white, clean and had no trace of its former role as a safe space for the resident critters. The dress, veil and underskirt were equally restored, and they even saved the top of the vintage box it was stored in, at my request. I wish I could give Ernst and his staff more stars.

ry dirty with yellow stains under the armpits, dirt marks along the bottom of the dress and stains/indentations from all the times girls were clipped into the back of the dress. I brought my sample gown to Ernest at Orange Restoration Lab a week before my wedding in Europe and they completely revitalized my dress and turned it around so quickly. I was in shock when I opened the garment bag. My dress looked brand new - you would NEVER know it was a sample and certainly didn't look like it had ever been tried on before. I am so grateful to this team who did such great work on my dress. I am home from my wedding and bringing my dress to Orange Restoration Labs straight away to clean and preserve!! ow that my mom’s vintage wedding gown worn circa 1981 would need particular care since the fabric is fragile and likely will not tolerate a regular cleaning process. I emailed ORL and Ernst responded promptly that same day and we were able to talk via phone & schedule my consultation appointment. I brought my mom with me at the consultation's and Ernst was very professional and handled my mom’s spit fire questions with compassion and ease (clearly understanding the sentiment driving some of her inquiries). Once my mom was at ease that I brought her gown to the right place, I left the precious heirloom of a gown in the care of Ernst and his team. Communication was very good throughout the process despite my gown being serviced during peak wedding season. Prior to pick up I got before and after photos of my gown, they restored both pearl beads on the gown as well as the entire gown to its original white color! My mom was speechless when I showed her the photos. Scope of work also included fixing the dropped lining of the dress and then preserving it in their acid free box. Ernst and team did an excellent job in restoring my vintage gown to its original glory! It was such a joy for me to see how beautiful the dress is/was when my mom wore it approaching close to 40yrs ago and look forward to giving it another tour down the aisle on my special day. I definitely recommend this business establishment, and it is definitely worth the investment and drive from Westchester, NY. Thank you Ernst and the entire ORL team, you are appreciated and are truly experts and I appreciated how enthusiastic and the joy you all have providing such a unique and needed service! You made this process a breeze for me. All the best!

The fabric blend has some angora in it and the fur cleaner was so aggressive and incompetent with the coat that the fabric was coming off the coat as clumps of lint at a rate that the coat would be threadbare in the near future . It was irreparably damaged or so I thought. Being a person who loves fashion I was devastated and inconsolable. I then took the coat to Ernst at Orange Restoration and he and his team restored the coat to its original state. It was a Miracle how it looked…. Just like a brand new coat!!! It’s perfect. No more shedding and the fabric looks as fine and delicate as when I first bought it! I have never seen such an amazing restoration and trust Ernst with anything I may need help with. He has also cleaned many of my leather jackets and skirts, etc as well as gowns and dresses with delicate lace and beading to perfection. Newport with the dress and it had so many scuff marks, sweat stains and even a few make-up stains. The worst part-- I waited nearly a year before taking it to Sally because I was so nervous about cost and afraid of hearing bad news. Finally-- because I am getting ready for my wedding this September, with all of our guests, I took it to her and she immediately put me at ease. Told me that all those scuff, sweat and make-up stains were nothing and she would have my dress ready for me to wear again in no time. Literally! Less than a week and I did not even pay or need rush service. The price was so affordable too! I walked away kicking myself for not taking care of my dress sooner.

I was hesitant because all the reviews were good and I wondered if she was too good to be true! I just picked up my gown today and when I tell you I was in shock, I mean it…The gown looked brand new! You would never in a million years guess that we had a rainy & muddy wedding. If rain on your wedding day brings you luck, then my luck brought me to Sally who was not only very knowledgeable and professional, but an absolute pleasure to work with! I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I drove about an hour to her on a whim and I would drive further knowing what I know now! She offered to add my veil when I forgot it at drop off because when you go back for pick up she shows you how clean the dress is and then does a beautiful job boxing it up right in front of you. She even gave our four year old son a kid’s rocking chair from her home that she didn’t use anymore! I would recommend her over and over again to anyone who asks! Thank you so much Sally! I can’t wait to pass this dress on to our daughter one day.

“Wow” and “Thank You” times two! When my oldest daughter was married in 2008, we unfortunately overlooked cleaning and preserving her gorgeous wedding gown. It’s grass, sand, ocean...

and dance floor stains documented a beautiful and fun filled event. These were well “set” when she modeled her dress for her children this fall, prompting much delayed attention. I remembered that there was a well-respected restoration facility nearby. Sally, from Orange Restoration Labs, worked her magic and the gown was restored to its pristine condition and preserved in its storage/display box. This was wrapped in RED paper and placed under the Christmas tree as a surprise for my daughter. When opened Christmas morning, we noticed that water from the tree stand had soaked and stained the box red! Sally (and my daughter) appreciated almost invisible water stains on the well protected dress and lovingly RECLEANED and repacked the dress! , and it deserved special care. Just be sure not to store it in the attic, which is too hot, and definitely not in the basement. If a pipe in the basement breaks, it is a law the water will find the gown, and this gown should rest for a while. :)

take it home and do some research. I happened upon Orange Restoration Labs during an internet search. I was impressed by all of the accolades and awards and was even more surprised to see that Sally was located right around the corner. Sally’s knowledge and expertise was apparent. My mother’s dress of lace and tulle, worn in 1957, was restored to its full beauty. Not only was the color of the gown restored, Sally was able to remove sugar stains, rust left from the metal button loops, and replace the missing buttons with extras found on the gloves. When finished, the dress was presented to us to view before it was lovingly placed in a box for preservation. Although my mother has passed, my father came with us to see the gown. The look on his face as he saw the wedding gown was priceless. Thank you Sally for transforming this gown to its original beauty. We will treasure it!

o had a large rip in the middle of my train that I was concerned could not be repaired. However when I went to pick up the dress, it was better than new! Sally was very kind, and working with her was an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend her.

The care Sally shows not only to the dresses and veils she works with but also to her clients made this entire process a dream. I will be able to wear the dress I fell in love with and Sally will definitely be there in my heart on my wedding day.

s 90 years old. When I went to meet her she knew immediately the age of the fabric , that certainly put my mind at ease. When I got it back I was so amazed I cried it was beyond what I ever dreamed it could look like. I was able to see what it was like when my grandma wore it all those years ago. She also did the hat that she wore it to was perfect. Since I have also brought her my own Christening outfit and other things as well. If you ever have anything you cherish and it needs restoration don’t hesitate to bring it to Orange Restoration , not only will you not be sorry you will be beyond thrilled . So happy I did.

I am quite certain it was even more beautiful than when I wore it! Sally did a wonderful job cleaning and mending the three spots where the lace ripped. She is so sweet and takes care of everything, there is no need to worry with Sally!

hildren. When my first grandchild was born in 2004, I brought the limp, discolored gown to Sally to see if it could be restored. What a miracle worker she is!!! The christening gown was like new: pure white, stitched where needed, ironed, on a hangar, ready to use. I have returned the gown to Sally for refreshing with the birth of each grandchild, most recently in September. Sally is the consummate professional!
