Orchid Dynasty recently did the florals for my wedding. They were absolutely stunning. We received nothing but compliments about the flowers. I thought that our table arrangements and the bridal party flowers were absolutely beautiful. Shelly w...as lovely to work with and very accessible by phone. With email she was a bit long to respond, but not overly delayed.
The florals were quite expensive, and honestly for the price I expected them to be mind-blowing. There were definitely elements that were (the table arrangements were amazing, and we had a beautiful floral chandelier for our ceremony), but there was one MAJOR exception. My bouquet was NOTHING like I had asked for, and while lovely, I hated it. I was very specific with Shelly throughout the design process about what I wanted - gave her pictures during our consultation and sent additional pictures via email. I wanted a modern cascade and what I got was a hand-tied standing up straight bouquet that was smaller than my maid of honor's bouquet. Needless to say I was very disappointed. In our first prospectus she had written "lush, hand-tied garden-like bouquet with roses etc." I had specifically said modern cascade with NO roses, so I have no idea where she came up with that concept. I quickly contacted her and corrected her, but obviously to no avail. The two things good that I can say about my bouquet are that the color was beautiful and there were no roses.
I think that she had something specific in mind for my bouquet and regardless of what I wanted, she was going to do that. I had a very modern aesthetic for the wedding and she was on board with that, but somehow my bouquet didn't get the memo. Of all things to mess up, the bridal bouquet shouldn't be it! So, if you use Orchid Dynasty (which I recommend; like I said, I got nothing but compliments on the flowers, it was only me who was disappointed) be very specific and INSIST on seeing a mockup of what is most important to you. I saw the tablescapes and loved them, so I didn't worry about my bouquet, which I should have. . .
