Orfila Vineyards & Winery

My now husband and I have lived in the area most of our lives and never knew Orfila existed until we visited to look at it for our potential wedding venue. We 100% made the right choice hosting our 3.19.16 wedding at Orfila Winery. Working with Steffi was a dream. She was incredibly detailed and proactive. She made fantastic recommendations for local vendors and accommodations and really helped us capture the vision of our wedding. The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. We received so many compliments on the whole wedding!!! It was perfect :)

We fell in love with Orfila when searching for a venue for our wedding... after meeting Tania, it was a done deal. Throughout our year and a half engagement, Tania stayed in touch with my fiance and me. She checked in with us periodically, got information about everything we had been planning, and made sure to ask us about the little things that we might have never thought of! Tania helped to make sure I didn't stress out about little details throughout the planning process, too! I can honestly say that our wedding was 100% perfect because of her!!! On the day of, we were both able to relax and enjoy our wedding day, because we knew that Tania would make sure everything ran smoothly - and it did!!! To top it all off, the venue is absolutely GORGEOUS, and the ENTIRE STAFF is seriously incredible!! I definitely recommend this venue to ANY couple looking for an unforgettable wedding day - we've had SO MANY compliments from our family and friends - including guys who normally think weddings are BORING!! :)

Orfila was our first stop on my bachelorette wine tasting tour. We were well taken care of in a reserved area of the patio, complete with a beautiful view. The wine was divine, the service excellent, and the view spectacular. Thanks for taking care of us and helping us celebrate this special time!

Orfila was our dream venue come to life for our September wedding. The perfect balance of an outdoor elegant and romantic wedding. Steffi and Tania were the absolute best. They truly go above and beyond to make every detail of your wedding day perfect. Getting married atop the vineyard at sunset made for some spectacular photos and the open tent reception was perfect for family fun and dancing. We would recommend Orfila Steffi and Tania to everyone! We are wine club members now and looking forward to enjoying our wedding venue for years to come.

Beautiful venue!! I loved every aspect of this place!! Had my ceremony and reception here. The best part is the day of coordinators. Tania is amazing!! She helped me plan up to a year leading up to my wedding. The day of she did everything!!!! She really knew what I wanted and made my dream come true. I fell in love with Orfila and Steffi Habermann (the coordinator) the moment I went there! It is a breathtakingly beautiful venue. Given it's a vineyard and a tent wedding, it will be on the rustic (meant in the best way) side. The only down side is that the bridal room is tiny and its hard to get the bridal party ready there. It is perhaps a smidge more expensive than it should be, but I guess that's just the way with weddings. The HUGE bonus to it is that i comes with a "day of" coordinator, which saves you about $1,000. I felt well tended to and taken care of the whole time.

Friendly staff, beautiful venue, they want you to use approved caterers and their wine. A little too pricey for my small family wedding.

Everyone raved about our wedding location. It was the most beautiful site we saw, and we went all over San Diego. If you want a wedding, that is not in a banquet hall, and you'll be the only wedding of the day, Orfila is definitely a place to get married! The scenery is beautiful. You and your guests will not be disappointed.

I was so pleased with the whole experience at Orfila. The staff was amazing the work with through the whole thing. You do have to pick from a list of vendors for the food- But it was so worth it! The whole day went without one hic up.

We chose Orfila because it is one of our favorite places to relax for an afternoon and sip wine when we visit San Diego (I am from SD, but now live in Chicago). In addition to the amazing views and ambiance, the staff at Orfila was superb! Steffi is the event coordinator at Orfila, and we were so comfortable with her ability to make everythign perfect, that we didn't ahve a singel thing to worry about on the wedding day! The vineyard has a great white tented area for the reception, and a stunning view od the mountains over the vineyard for the ceremony. Note that you are required to use Orfila's bar service and wine for all events. It was pricy since you have to pay per person for all non-wine liquor, and per bottle for wine, but it was worth it. the only down side was that we had requested that the bar NOT set out a tip jar (we think it's tacky) and we intended aon tipping them after. They out it out anyway, so we did not tip the bartenders with our final bill. The vineyard also has a great contingency plan incase it rains. We had gloom all day for our wedding, but the staff at Orfila was prepared to accomodate by closing the tent flaps, and being ready with rags for chairs if needed. If you are looking to save money, you do not need to rent a dance floor. The cement area did great for us with out it.

The setting was picturesque, the staff was so accommodating and easy to deal with, the price was right. Orfila provided us with a beautiful outdoor wedding, set in a gorgeous winery. Whatever we wanted, Steffi made it happen for us.

Perfect venue. I loved the white lights in the tent and the magical ambiance. However, I didn't pay for it and my parents paid dearly. The wedding planners were wonderful to work with and did a great job. No complaints!

We loved everything about our ceremony/reception venue. Having both the ceremony and the reception at the same place made things every easy on our guests and the facilities were breathtaking. The vineyard was absolutely gorgeous and we have the most beautiful pictures.;The wedding cordinator that we were originally working with suddenly left about 3 months prior to the wedding and we weren't notified. I hadn't been receiving responses to my emails and phone calls, then when I was trying to schedule our wine tasting appointment about a month prior to the wedding, it was almost as if our wedding was a hassle for them. The actual cordinator we ended up working with for the wedding day was cold and militant - ordering everyone around. Her intentions of making our day perfect were good, but her approach was bad. Then she left as soon as the ceremony ended and we were basically on our own for the rest of the night. The only other problem with the venue is the lack of close hotels. After a night of drinking and dancing, the nearest decent hotels were just too far away.
