Orion Farmstead

Orion Farmstead is a 160-acre regenerative farm on Monture Creek in Montana's Blackfoot River Valley, near Ovando and northeast of Missoula. We host weddings, elopements and small gatherings as full-weekend stays, so your people can settle in, spend a few days together and skip the drive back to town at the end of the night. A typical weekend starts with the wedding party checking in on Thursday afternoon. Guests arrive Friday afternoon for the rehearsal, the ceremony is Saturday, and everyone heads home Sunday. We're flexible if you need a different schedule. Ceremonies and receptions can happen anywhere along the creek, so you pick the spot. Up to about 50 guests can stay overnight. Our two guest rentals, Antler & Tin and Orion's Outpost, sleep six, and everyone else camps on the property. We can flex on camping numbers. For guests who'd rather have a bed, the Ovando Inn nearby can take around 30 more. Between events, guests can use the wood-fired hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. We provide the land, power and plenty of parking. The grounds come as open land, so you bring in your own tables, chairs and portable restrooms through a rental company. Catering and alcohol are up to you, and you can hire whoever you like. We're a working farm first. We grow fruit trees, run a farm stand on Highway 200, and are rebuilding pasture that sat overgrazed for a decade. To protect that land, we book only a handful of weddings each summer, so each couple gets the place and our attention to themselves. This lists only overnight capacity. If you can host more people for the day than can stay over, send me that number, since couples search by guest count.
