When I started planning my wedding, the Orpheum was at the top of my list for reception venues. My husband and I met performing in the theater so we knew we wanted to have our rece...
ption in a theater. There are many theaters in New Orleans to choose from, but as soon as I walked in the Orpheum, I knew this was the perfect place for our wedding. I chose very early on to have a 1920s themed wedding reception. The Orpheum being a theater built in the 20s, made it the absolute ideal setting. I had a very clear vision in mind. I wanted our wedding reception to feel like a complete immersive experience. I wanted the night to have a clear flow from a 1920s jazz club to a banger of a party that could rival Studio 54. I had many things happening all night long. It was very much a production. Kelly was there every step of the way to make sure we had a flawless event. It absolutely could not have happened without her and her team. From our first meeting, she was open to all of my ideas and seemed genuinely excited for everything I had planned. From the sound, to the lighting, to the bar staff, to the production staff, every single thing was PERFECT. I cannot express enough how amazing Kelly and the staff at the Orpheum are. I couldn’t stop smiling all night. One staff member even came up to us to show his outfit because he dressed up for our 20’s theme. That made me so happy. They all seemed to really care about us and it showed. Our after party at the Double Dealer kept the party going even longer. Our guests have not stopped messaging us about what an incredible party it was. I can truly say our wedding reception would not have been the same had it not been for The Orpheum, Kelly, and the entire staff. They made my 1920s wedding dreams come true. I cannot thank them enough.
This is by far the best wedding venue in New Orleans. It's the most gorgeous space and the coolest venue available. It's definitely a bit more expensive on the initial costs, but i...
t's pretty reasonable for what you're getting. The team includes a production manager and lighting & a/v director to make the day flawless. Tricia, who is no longer with the Orpheum, was a pleasure to work with, rolled out the red carpet for us when we toured the venue, and really catered to what we imagined. Kelly, who replaced her just a few short months before the wedding was great, and the whole team was fantastic. We were able to put up our own playbill the day of the wedding, and had the most gorgeous affair! The most memorable venue with amazing acoustics too!
This is hands down the most beautiful wedding reception venue in New Orleans. I've always wanted a big New Orleans wedding, and from the time we first toured it, I knew this was th...
e perfect place. During our tour, they treated us like royalty. As we planned, they let us come in to see how we wanted the room to be set up and decorated. They also let me take my bridals there, which turned out beautiful. During the wedding reception, they made sure everything ran seamlessly. The Orpheum also offers so many special touches. We got to put up our engagement photos on the outside of the theater where the playbills go, and we had screens with our engagement photos on them for when guests arrived. They provide their own lighting designer who made the theater room the perfect vibe throughout the night. They also contract with Bella Luna catering, which was the most delicious wedding food I've ever had and they offer different packages with probably a hundred options. If you want a big New Orleans wedding that isn't the basic venue that everyone else does, then look no further.
My husband and I were married at The Orpheum in December 2019, and the experience was wonderful. The day of was incredible, and went off without a hitch. The staff was anticipatory...
and responsive and the venue was beautiful. It was absolutely beyond anything I had envisioned. Beyond that, Tricia and Olivia along with many others made the planning process easy and enjoyable. They were responsive, flexible, and always professional, and went out of their way to accommodate any and all requests. On top of that, The Orpheum is used throughout the year for shows of all kinds making this venue so unique—it’s already equipped for everything you could imagine! We were easily able to add in a balloon drop, confetti canons, and more! I cannot recommend The Orpheum enough! To this day our guests rave about how beautiful the venue was and how it was unlike anything they had ever experienced. I think it gave our guests the true NOLA experience and left everyone e WOWED!

d they made it seem like a breeze to have both the ceremony and reception in the same room. The service was truly unparalleled, and I wouldn't change a thing!
The Orpheum was the perfect venue for our glam wedding reception. The building itself is gorgeous and needed minimal decor but with Tricia and my awesome team of vendors, the space...

n throughout the entire planning process. She even made time for me to take some bridal pictures in the theater beforehand. The beauty of the Orpheum really does speak for itself, but to accompanied with an awesome team is truly a blessing! I highly recommend this venue for a wonderful, unique experience that everyone will enjoy.
