proceeded to be difficult to work with and did not fulfill many promises. His customer service was almost non-existent. I had to follow-up with him many times for anything that I needed from him and he rarely provided input, suggestions, or explanations for what he offers. Below are some of the issues we had: He was over an hour and a half late to our Engagement Shoot, with no explanation. He said he'd owe us, but never made good on that promise.  At my bridal shoot, his studio was very disorganized and cramped. He had a very impatient demeanor and made me feel like he didn't want to be there. A few days before our wedding, despite stating that he would be at our wedding when we booked him, he told us he wouldn't be there and it would only be second shooters. He did not provide a reason for why he wouldn't be there. His second shooters at our wedding did a great job, but it was clear they were inexperienced.  When we tried to fulfill our print credit that was included in our contract, he placed the order without contacting us for final approvals or telling us the options he offered. We reached out to him to try to get the issue resolved and he replied with a series of emails that were dismissive, unhelpful, and unprofessional. He did not own up to any wrongdoing on his part (like placing the order without our approval) nor did he suggest any solutions. Through that process, he stated that he typically upcharges clients $600-$800 for Shutterfly albums that you can easily put together yourself. Eventually, he just stopped replying to us. Do not use this Orrie Gaines Photography, Orrie will make the memories associated with your wedding stressful and disappointing.

also to video the wedding as well. A major deciding factor in choosing him was the fact that he had the capability of taking drone videos and photos. Well it rained on our wedding day and were told he would come back another day to do the outside shots, excuse after excuse. Several communications and we never received the video from our wedding, still more excuses a year later and we still DO NOT have the video from our wedding. I wish I would have chosen someone else to do the wedding as this is NOT acceptable, its flat out embarrassing when friends and family ask to see the video and its well over a year later and there isnt one, just excuses. So our 3 year anniversary will be tomorrow. My wife decided she was going to surprise me with the video after she contacted Orrie and somehow he magically rushed a video together. She called me frantically and told me how she wanted to surprise me but the video was horrible. He had hardly any video of the ceremony or exchanging of vows. He had more video of the ladies getting dressed than anything and the video ended even worst than it started. Its embarrassing, we have cell phone videos that are more of substance than the trash he sold us. STAY AWAY!!!!! There are so many more better photographers in the Richmond area and I'm sure they wouldnt have you waiting 3 years for trash quality.

eat photographers who were so professional and worked really well with all of the vendors to make our day special. They even gave us a flash drive at the end of the night with a few pictures to hold us over. They were very affordable and worked with us to stay in our budget. I would highly recommend them to everyone!
