My then-fiancée (and now-wife) and I held a joint rehearsal dinner and welcome party on the Orso’s patio in September. We couldn’t have asked for a more fantastic space and staff! In fact, if our guest list was a little bit smaller, we would ha...ppily have done our entire reception here.
First off, the space is gorgeous. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic, intimate spot for group dinner (we had 35+ guests for the dinner portion). We were treated to wonderful end-of-summer skyline views in addition to a delicious family-style dinner. Downstairs, we held the welcome party for the rest of our guests (we had 100+ attendees for the party). All our guests enjoyed drinking and mingling under the vines and night sky. We were also able to bring in our own florals, picture wall, and more to make the space more uniquely our own. The staff was abundant and plentiful so no one ever had to wait long for a drink or a passed hors d’oeuvre.
The event planners, Elizabeth and Allie, are fantastic to work with. They went above and beyond to accommodate our layout requests, customizations, and budget. They even went so far as to drive outside of the city to find the specific soda for our signature cocktails. And the kitchen even accommodated last-minute, during-the-party requests for 100 desserts. Now that’s service! Also, unlike many of the vendors that we worked with, Orso’s was completely transparent about costs. There were no hidden fees, taxes, gratuities, etc. Everything was upfront. They always seemed much more concerned that we were happy throughout the entire process, rather than nickel-and-diming us every step of the way.
You really can’t go wrong with Orso’s for any part of your wedding.
(And get the jalapeno gnocchi. It’s to die for.)
