Orso's Restaurant

Orso's was a fantastic spot to host our rehearsal dinner prior to our wedding. The restaurant is right down the street from us and had been a staple for us already due to its great rear patio and delicious Italian fare. As such it was a perfect choice to share the energy of our neighborhood with our guests. Nakita & Sienna (and the rest of the Orso's staff) were tremendously helpful throughout the process. They were quick to respond, flexible in our menu adjustments where needed, and discretely checked in with us throughout the event to assure everything was proceeding to our enjoyment. Since we had a summer wedding the biggest part of the attraction for Orso's was their offering to cordon off a private section of the outdoor patio to host our event. Even with other customers on the rear patio the arrangement was such that we felt we had a private space. The patio also had a rear entrance from the side street that allowed our guests easy entry without having to shuffle through the front door and (narrow) front dining room. The food was served promptly with ample portions and was absolutely delicious (as our previous meals at Orso's had been as well). Our guests were also provided with a bar package that kept drinks in their hands throughout without any wait. All dishes and drinks were bussed from the area without fuss. Orso's provided clean white linens and allowed us to adjust the table arrangement as preferred - and also provided a floor plan to illustrate where the buffet style meal would be laid out. This allowed us to create a space near the ends of our tables where we had a few loved ones give toasts and speeches throughout the event. Despite being fronted on the very busy Wells Street in Old Town the secluded patio provided a quiet, leafy escape from any of the usual Chicago noise. I could not recommend Orso's enough for a private event. For reference our group was about 40 people. (P.S. I HIGHLY recommend the fumigato)

Amazing and caring staff they were so accommodating with our needs, the love entertainment and our added decor. The price was just right for a wedding party in the middle of a very expensive city. They make having a diy restaurant reception so effortlessly easy, people were asking me why I wasn’t stressed out. Kristy and staff were so attentive despite their long hours- it was magical, their efficiency. So their magic jived with my magic and a good time was had by guest and staff. 100% recommend Orso’s!!!

Kristy helped us plan our son’s entire rehearsal dinner via email and phone. Orso’s was walking distance from our church, but after dining at Orso’s, I would travel much further to dine there. Kristy was professional and efficient and executed combining Orso’s table settings with our decorations beautifully. Her staff served our food and drink perfectly and they adapted to us arriving early! There is also an outdoor patio and a rooftop deck that would be beautiful.

As Mother of the Groom working in tandem with the Mother of the Bride (who lives out of state) to host a bridal shower, I contacted a dozen venues, in downtown Chicago. Most were extremely expensive, quoting as high as $4,000 which was way out of our price range! I narrowed the choice down to two venues, Orso's being one of them. Both quoted a very attractive package and I decided on Orso's because of their very responsive event coordinator! Kristy was incredible to work with while planning the event! We requested the Patio for the shower (sight unseen) and when I arrived there, I was extremely impressed by the classy, rustic vibe! It was a hot day so Orso's staff placed large floor umbrellas around to keep the area shaded which was a tremendous help! We ordered the brunch package with choice of 3 entree's and a 2-hour Bloody Mary & Mimosa drink package. The brunch package included a Custom-made menu for the event which added a personal touch to the tables! LOVED THE FOOD not to mention the incredible service we received during the entire party! Overall, Orso's is by far the BEST venue to host an event when considering price, food, service and ambiance! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My Bridal Shower was hosted at Orso's on their patio & even with it being a rainy day it was a lovely time & had such a great vibe. We chose the Family Style brunch option & had a limited host bar. The food was amazing. My guests were very impressed & had such wonderful things to say all day about it. Their brunch packages are extremely affordable which can be a hard thing to find when looking to host an event for a large number of people in the city. I would suggest going with their open bar package; as that was also really affordable & our bar tab did run up pretty quickly. We did not choose this option because we only wanted to serve a limited selection of alcohol; however, Orso's was willing to add a specialty drink to the package for a slight upcharge. Overall a great place in Chicago to host an event. We will definitely be keeping this on our list for future events.

We hosted a baby shower on Orsos rooftop and it was absolutely perfect! Kristy was amazing and easy to work with, the food was delicious, the patio was gorgeous, and the entire package was reasonably priced. I would absolutely recommend hosting your next party at Orsos.

Orso’s and their party planner Kristy was professional and accommodating from the minute we met and continued throughout the entire planning process including the day of the shower - a true pleasure to work with.

I hosted my daughter's bridal shower brunch at Orso's and everything was phenomenal! Kristy was an absolute pleasure to work with and answered all my questions quickly while providing her expertise. The food and the atmosphere were exactly the vibe I was going for! The staff did not disappoint either. They were more than willing to help with anything we needed. Everyone had a lovely time!

We used Orso's for an after wedding brunch. It was a great outdoor space and the staff was very accommodating. The food was good and their drink package selection more than accommodated our guests for a mid morning brunch. Even with it being a hot June day, the outdoor garden offered a lot of shaded spaces and our guests were able to spread out amongst the grape vines and enjoy a Tuscan inspired brunch.

We hosted my sisters bridal shower with 25-30 girls on Orso’s rooftop and worked with Kristy. She was fantastic to work with and made the day so special! The food was great, servers were wonderful and the rooftop setting was so perfect for summer in Chicago. Thank you Kristy and team!

I hosted my sister’s bridal shower here on Sunday and everything was amazing. Kristy was great to work with leading up to the shower with great communication and ensuring everything was covered. Day of, we had a semi private space on the patio and it didn’t even feel semi private with the way they set everything up. The food was amazing and we had so many compliments on it. Even the mother of the groom said how much she loved the green eggs and ham (and she doesn’t even like eggs). The service was also great, huge shoutout to Orlando for staying on top of our drinking group and ensuring everyone had a mule or mimosa in hand. We couldn’t have asked for better staff on our event. From the price, the space, and the people, I couldn’t recommend Orsos more!
