Just had an engagement dinner celebration with my fiancée, family and close friends and Orso's did a spectacular job. The food was delicious, the setting was excellent and the event was organized and menu selection process was simple. This allowed everyone to have more time to converse and enjoy the delicious food together. Definitely recommend choosing Orso's for an event or celebration.

We had our rehearsal dinner on the patio at Orso's back in March. The venue was absolutely perfect and the dreamiest start to our wedding weekend. We were so appreciative of Diana and her team's guidance and flexibility as we did the seating arrangement, showed a video, and shared special dishes with our family and friends.
Orso's is one of our favorite local restaurants and a great place to have an event. We would absolutely recommend!

From the very beginning, the team at Orso’s made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. Diana was absolutely wonderful to work with—always responsive, organized, patient, and incredibly helpful. She answered every question we had, guided us through every detail, and made us feel confident that everything was in good hands.
On the day of our reception, Molly was our coordinator, and she was simply amazing. She was always one step ahead, making sure everything ran smoothly while checking in with us throughout the evening. We never had to worry about a single thing because she and the entire team took care of it all. It truly allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends.
Our bartender and server were absolutely incredible. They were attentive, professional, kind, and always seemed to be one step ahead. No matter what we needed, they were there with a smile, making sure everything ran seamlessly from beginning to end. Their exceptional service made us feel truly cared for and allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding reception without worrying about a thing.
The food was absolutely delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests about every course—from the appetizers to the entrées and dessert. Everything was served beautifully and on time, and the family-style dinner created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The venue itself was gorgeous. The rooftop was beautifully set up, everything looked exactly as we had envisioned, and every detail was handled with care.
Our wedding reception exceeded every expectation we had, and a huge part of that is thanks to the incredible team at Orso’s. Diana, Molly, our bartender, our server, and everyone working behind the scenes made us feel supported every minute of the evening. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made our day even more special than we could have imagined.
We wholeheartedly recommend Orso’s to anyone looking for a beautiful venue, exceptional food, and a team that truly cares about making your event unforgettable. Thank you for giving us memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. ❤️

About a week before the shower, I realized the room we had originally reserved wasn't quite what I had pictured. I reached out to Diana feeling a little panicked, and she immediately worked with me to find a better solution. Her kindness, flexibility, and willingness to help completely put me at ease, and I cannot thank her enough for going above and beyond to make my day feel so special.
The event itself exceeded all of our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious (our guests are still talking about it!), the service was exceptional, and the wait staff was attentive, friendly, and so accommodating throughout the afternoon. Everything ran seamlessly, allowing me to simply enjoy celebrating with my family and friends.
I'm so grateful to Diana and the entire Orso's team for helping create such a memorable bridal shower. I would wholeheartedly recommend Orso's to anyone looking to host a special event in Chicago, and I would absolutely host another event here in the future.

Orso's food was outstanding, our guests raved about everything we enjoyed and the service went seamlessly; as a bride, it was so nice to be able to have the space to soak everything in and be so present while the Orso's team worked to ensure everything was taken care of. Orlando was our server for the day and he made everyone feel as though we were part of the family. It was truly a dream Italian garden afternoon. We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Orso's for about 70 guests, followed by welcome drinks for roughly 135 people, and it could not have gone better.
From the moment guests arrived,...
people kept commenting that it felt like they were in Italy. The space is beautiful, comfortable, and somehow felt both intimate and spacious at the same time.
The food was fantastic, the drinks were great, and the service was excellent throughout the night. Diana and her team were incredible to work with from start to finish. They were responsive, accommodating, and really gave us a blank canvas to make the event our own. Every step of the planning process felt easy because we knew we were in good hands.
We were also watching the weather forecast closely leading up to the event, and Diana's team did a great job preparing for potential rain by setting up additional umbrellas and making sure everyone would be comfortable. Thankfully, we ended up not needing them, but it gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing they had everything covered.
Special shoutout to Jim behind the bar, who was incredibly friendly during our tasting and throughout the event itself. Honestly, everyone we interacted with at Orso's was welcoming, professional, and genuinely cared about making the night a success.
The value was also hard to beat compared to other options we looked at in the area.
Looking back, it was the perfect kickoff to an unforgettable wedding weekend, and we'd absolutely recommend Orso's to anyone planning a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or special event in Chicago.

he Semi Private Sidecar was perfect for our 18 guests. Because there were 4 children, we chose the 2 hr. Pizza Gathering menu. With the exception of the pizza which we were not accustomed to eating that kind, the appetizers Sausage & Pepper, Bruschetta, Caesar Salad, Tiramisu Dessert, & Vanilla Gelato for the kids were excellent. The price was reasonable and our guests were very complimentary. I would definitely recommend Orso's to others.

The semi-private Side Car room was the perfect setting for our group — spacious enough for everyone to feel comfortable while still creating an intimate atmosphere. The staff was accommodating, attentive, and made the planning process very easy.
The three-hour food and drink package was also very reasonably priced for the quality and amount provided. Between the great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, and convenient location, we would absolutely host another event here again.

The evening itself was incredible—our guests had the best time celebrating with us, and we are still hearing compliments about how much everyone enjoyed it. The space is beautiful, the staff was so kind and helpful, and the food was AMAZING. Everyone was raving about it all night long.

Every corner of the venue had was a conversation piece and created an atmosphere that was both stunning and deeply intimate. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful the soace was. People are still texting us to tell us how amazing it was. Every photo looks like a dream.
A special shout out to Diana, the venue coordinator, who was so warm and welcoming she made the entire experience even more special. From our very first interaction, she made us feel right at home and genuinely cared about making our day perfect.
Choosing Orso’s was maybe the best decision we made for our wedding, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to any couple looking for a venue that will make their day truly unforgettable. We will forever look back on our wedding with such warmth and gratitude and Orso’s is a huge reason why!

ssional and was a hands on planner! She was effective and timely with communication and she treated me and my family as if we were her own family. Diana ensured all our questions were answered and needs were met. She scheduled a dinner to sample all food items so that we could select a family style dinner that our guests would devour! I live in Wisconsin and she met me hours before the dinner rehearsal to help decorate and set up the room. Weather can be unpredictable in Chicago and she was flexible and accommodating. For example, we had originally planned to have the dinner rehearsal on the outdoor patio deck, however it was predicted to be colder than we thought. Diana ensured that the Tiffany Room was available to host and serve our guests! Nikita, the Event Manager was incredibly helpful on the night of the dinner rehearsal as well. She and her team served the delicious meals timely and with care. They even boxed up all leftovers for us to take home! I would highly recommend Orso’s for ANY event that you want your guests to be completely satisfied! Thank you Diana and Nikita for a memorable evening! You treated us like family!

From the moment we started planning, Dana, the manager, was a dream to work with. She was kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, always ready to help us bring our vision to life. Even when we made last-minute changes, like serving dessert early or adding some fun and unexpected decorations (think little ant stickers and monkeys), she handled everything with total ease and a smile.
The staff was outstanding in every way. They worked seamlessly together and made sure every guest felt cared for. What stood out most was how relaxed and genuine they were; it felt like they were celebrating with us rather than just working the event. Their good energy set the tone for the entire night.
The food was phenomenal. Every dish came out hot, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. There was an abundance of it too—honestly, we had more than enough for everyone, and our guests were thrilled to take some leftovers home after the party. It felt generous, thoughtful, and very in the spirit of celebration.
The venue itself is a true hidden gem in Chicago. It has that perfect mix of old-school Chicago charm with cozy greenery, romantic lighting, and an intimate yet spacious layout. We loved that it had plenty of room for dancing and mingling, while still feeling warm and inviting. One of the highlights was our private two-tiered deck, complete with a second bar. It gave our guests the option to explore different spaces, enjoy a change of scenery, and make the night feel dynamic and special.
We honestly could not have asked for a better experience. The price was incredibly reasonable compared to other venues, yet the quality, service, and atmosphere were unmatched. We are already talking about hosting an annual celebration here, and we cannot wait to come back for dinner again soon.
If you are looking for a venue that combines heartfelt service, amazing food, and a true Chicago vibe, Orso’s is the place. It exceeded every expectation and gave us a wedding night we will never forget.
Thank you to Dana and the entire Orso’s team for creating something magical. You made us feel like family, and we’ll be forever grateful.

Diana was great to work with in terms of putting together the menu, details, and answering any questions we had throughout finalizing the proposal. We were lucky enough to secure a majority of the back patio and the setup and decor ended up being the perfect backdrop to celebrate. The service and food, as it typically is, was excellent. It's a wonderful memory we will have for our entire lives.

heaters. It made for a private, intimate setting but still sustained the beauty and ambiance of the restaurant.
The team went above and beyond to craft custom menus, specifically celebrating 'Happy Birthday, Hannah!' messaging. I was able to craft a custom menu tailored to my guests favorite items and even dietary restrictions.
The food was delicious and plentiful, and we had a blast taking advantage of the 'bottomless' 2 hour wine package deal :) The staff were super attentive to our table, timely, kind, and patient with the bulk of food and orders.
I was so impressed by the team's interest in customizing the event to all of my requests and needs, being flexible to my bringing flowers/decor, and their overall genuine desire to make it perfect.
This venue is perfect for a birthday, bridal shower, work dinner, or other small group/intimate setting. They are sure to make it special and I'd recommend to anyone!

en we had to make a fairly late change to our the venue space we were to use. They were also very accommodating with lettintbud drop off decorations early and having our cake delivered. They provided beautiful custom menus for our event, the food was fantastic, and the space was beautiful. Our only negative experience was a small miscommunication on the table arrangement, but they were able to explain and resolve the issue without a problem.

in constant communication with me regarding dietary needs, location of preferred seating, wine lists, and any other information that was requested. They even called me on the day of the event to ask where my preferred seating location would be, and it turned out, it was in their stunning long dining room with a partition for semi privacy, which was fantastic. The food was given in abundance and it’s very delicious. I will absolutely be back and plan more parties here. From the moment we reached out, the Orso’s team was exceptional. Their communication was prompt and thoughtful, and they were incredibly flexible in helping us shape the evening to match our vision. Every detail was handled with care, and their willingness to accommodate special requests - especially for guests with allergies - was deeply appreciated.
The food was outstanding. Each dish arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and there was more than enough for everyone to enjoy seconds or take home leftovers. The bartenders were friendly, efficient, and kept the drinks flowing smoothly all night.

On the night, staff had the semi-private deck set and ready before the first guest arrived at 7:30 p.m. Family-style appetizers and entrées came out hot and perfectly timed, individual salads and desserts were plated with zero mix-ups, and servers refilled wine glasses before anyone had to ask. They also handled a last-minute balloon drop-off and a surprise champagne toast without breaking stride.
The ambience—string lights, skyline peeks, and a gentle summer breeze—matched the food: classic, comforting Italian done really well. Highlights were the chicken vesuvio and the tiramisu, both polished off even by the “light eaters” in our group.
Best part: the bar kept to our beer-and-wine package and politely billed any extra cocktails to the ordering guest, exactly as requested.
If you’re looking for a North Side spot that feels intimate yet can handle group logistics like a pro, Orso’s is the move. They turned our celebration dinner into the perfect capstone for a once-in-a-lifetime night.

Nakita and Diana were amazing help throughout the planning process. They made everything so easy and stress-free. They checked in with me frequently leading up to the event, and they even printed free custom menus to match my theme! The service during the event was incredible too - super attentive and friendly staff, and the food is amazing. As for pricing, we went with the lunch package and did a by-consumption host bar package and all was actually pretty affordable compared to similar options.
Highly recommend all around! Cannot say enough good things about my experience and wish I could do it all again!

The event planner added thoughtful touches we didn’t expect, like custom-printed menus that matched our wedding invitations and elegant food signs. She even took the time to send us table layouts to ensure the room flow would be perfect for our guests. These extra details made the night feel even more personal and meaningful.
The service was exceptional—the servers and bartenders were attentive and professional. After I ordered my first glass of champagne, the bartender anticipated my drinks for the rest of the evening, always making sure I always had an icy cold glass of champagne in hand, before I even noticed or asked. My husband and I felt so well cared for, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The ambiance was enchanting, with the twinkling lights hung from the ceiling creating a warm, intimate atmosphere that all of our guests raved about. It was the perfect way to begin our celestial wedding weekend, and we’re so grateful to the team at Orso’s for making it unforgettable.
