The outside space is a hidden gem in the city. The staff is fantastic. Should out to Maria for never letting my glass get empty. The staff was so attentive and the food was excellent. Thank you!!! We had an amazing bridal shower.

We recently hosted a couples shower in the sidecar room for about 30 people. It was perfect! The event coordinator did an amazing job helping the event happen seamlessly. Highly recommend hosting your event at Orso’s!

Our bridal shower at Orso's last Saturday was absolutely perfect. The staff was attentive and very helpful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the setting is so lovely. The seating with overhead trellis was mostly shaded and comfortable. Although there were guests on the other side of the plant barrier, we felt like our party was in a private room. My future daughter in law was impressed with the personalized menu that Orso's provided. Because of the Crowd Strike problems, three of our guests were late to the party. One, arrived after the party was over.Despite there being another party directly after ours, Orso's staff allowed us to stay until this final guest arrived. This is the third party I've hosted at Orso's and I'd happily have another if the occasion comes up.

Orso's was a fantastic spot to host our rehearsal dinner prior to our wedding. The restaurant is right down the street from us and had been a staple for us already due to its great rear patio and delicious Italian fare. As such it was a perfect choice to share the energy of our neighborhood with our guests. Nakita & Sienna (and the rest of the Orso's staff) were tremendously helpful throughout the process. They were quick to respond, flexible in our menu adjustments where needed, and discretely checked in with us throughout the event to assure everything was proceeding to our enjoyment. Since we had a summer wedding the biggest part of the attraction for Orso's was their offering to cordon off a private section of the outdoor patio to host our event. Even with other customers on the rear patio the arrangement was such that we felt we had a private space. The patio also had a rear entrance from the side street that allowed our guests easy entry without having to shuffle through the front door and (narrow) front dining room. The food was served promptly with ample portions and was absolutely delicious (as our previous meals at Orso's had been as well). Our guests were also provided with a bar package that kept drinks in their hands throughout without any wait. All dishes and drinks were bussed from the area without fuss. Orso's provided clean white linens and allowed us to adjust the table arrangement as preferred - and also provided a floor plan to illustrate where the buffet style meal would be laid out. This allowed us to create a space near the ends of our tables where we had a few loved ones give toasts and speeches throughout the event. Despite being fronted on the very busy Wells Street in Old Town the secluded patio provided a quiet, leafy escape from any of the usual Chicago noise. I could not recommend Orso's enough for a private event. For reference our group was about 40 people. (P.S. I HIGHLY recommend the fumigato)

I would recommend Orsos 💯 percent. Food, staff and space A+++. Sienna was amazing. We were due to have outside rooftop but due to rain had to be moved inside. She set the room up beautifully. She communicated every step of the way. Rave reviews from all guests.

Orso's hosted our post ceremony family dinner in the back patio. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly! The food was delicious and plentiful as well! 10/10 would recommend!

The event team at Orso’s were amazing leading up to our rehearsal dinner, available to answer any questions and were very flexible with headcount, menu, etc. The family style dinner was perfect for the occasion (and delicious) and the space on the patio was also great! Our semi-private patio rental was actually quite private and we were not disturbed by other parties at all. Lastly, the pricing was SO reasonable relative to other restaurants we looked at. 10/10 recommend Orso’s.

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at Orso’s (specifically the back patio) in February, and everything was incredible. The vibes were cozy and romantic, the food was delicious, and Kristy and her team made sure everything ran smoothly. Kristy was lovely to work with; a couple weeks before our rehearsal dinner, she hopped on a call with me to go over all the details of the night and confirm the menu. She made sure we had everything we needed and graciously accommodated some of our special requests: a microphone for speeches, bringing in challah bread from an outside baker so we could do a blessing, and making sure the gluten free people in attendance had separate gluten free entrees (that were just as good as the regular ones!). Kristy and her team also took care of decor; they printed menus to put at each seat, lit votive candles on every table, and had string lights throughout the space. And did I mention the food was excellent? The portions are generous (we took home leftovers!) and our guests raved to us about the food. I would 100% recommend Orso’s to anyone who is looking to have a rehearsal dinner or an event in general, Kristy makes the process easy and our rehearsal dinner was everything we hoped for!

We just had our rehearsal dinner here in December on the patio and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and service was outstanding. I would highly recommend. My other son just got engaged and I am hoping to have a repeat rehearsal dinner at Orso’s. Shoutout to Kristy and crew! Tina B

Kristy (the event planner at Orso's) was a dream to work with in helping me plan my son's rehearsal dinner on the outdoor patio. We live out of state - so we needed some help putting this all together and communication was key. Kristy gave me ideas to decorate the tables - answered all my questions and she personally made sure the tables were beautifully decorated - and everything went without a hitch. With Kristy's help and the amazing staff at Orso's -our guests felt welcomed and we had a wonderful time! We loved it so much for the rehearsal dinner - I wish I had the post wedding brunch there too!

Amazing and caring staff they were so accommodating with our needs, the love entertainment and our added decor. The price was just right for a wedding party in the middle of a very expensive city. They make having a diy restaurant reception so effortlessly easy, people were asking me why I wasn’t stressed out. Kristy and staff were so attentive despite their long hours- it was magical, their efficiency. So their magic jived with my magic and a good time was had by guest and staff. 100% recommend Orso’s!!!

My now husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at Orso's on 10/19/2023. It was FABULOUS and the definition of perfection. The team at Orso's was professional, timely with communication, and went above and beyond to make our rehearsal special. Orso's offers a rehearsal dinner tasting to help you plan your menu which was so helpful. The food was incredible- I think everyone who attended was jumping on open table to make a reservation to come back again. We have had so many calls since that dinner from people raving about how good the food was and how much fun they had. A special thank you to Haliee and Kristy for going above and beyond to make this dinner extra special for Matt & I. Orso's treated Matt & I and our guests like family which is exactly the kind of establishment we wanted to host this special dinner at. We are so grateful to Orso's and the fabulous team who works there.

We had our daughters rehearsal dinner here 5 years ago and recently came back for a celebration of one year for my husband getting a new heart ❤️. Both times we had wonderful service and delicious food. Krystal was great to work with.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Orso's and the whole experience was perfect! Kristy helped us execute every detail seamlessly--even decorations the day of which, as a type A bride, was hard for me to delegate. We rented the private deck which made for a private and intimate dinner with our friends and family. The servers were very polite and attentive, food was up to what I expect from Orso's and the price was super competitive compared to some of the other venues we looked at. All of our guests had wonderful things to say. Would recommend Orso's to anyone looking to host a small group.

I hosted a baby shower for 50 people this past Saturday at Orsos and I couldn't be more pleased. Kristy the event coordinator was super patient/responsive to my never-ending questions and Ava, our server the day of, couldn't have worked harder/been any better and had such a calm cool demeanor. The outdoor patio was heated and even my older guests were comfortable (52 and sunny). We went with the Brunch Buffet and bar package for mimosas and it all turned out perfect. I even called on Sunday with a few follow-up questions and got great service. The owner came out at the end and was helping his staff clean-up. Truly a Chicago old school family place. Couldn't get my guests to leave they were enjoying themselves too much:

Kristy helped us plan our son’s entire rehearsal dinner via email and phone. Orso’s was walking distance from our church, but after dining at Orso’s, I would travel much further to dine there. Kristy was professional and efficient and executed combining Orso’s table settings with our decorations beautifully. Her staff served our food and drink perfectly and they adapted to us arriving early! There is also an outdoor patio and a rooftop deck that would be beautiful.

Orso's was wonderful to work with for our rehearsal dinner. They have a few different room options and flexible options for setting the right menu and drink package based on what works best for you. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is high quality.

As Mother of the Groom working in tandem with the Mother of the Bride (who lives out of state) to host a bridal shower, I contacted a dozen venues, in downtown Chicago. Most were extremely expensive, quoting as high as $4,000 which was way out of our price range! I narrowed the choice down to two venues, Orso's being one of them. Both quoted a very attractive package and I decided on Orso's because of their very responsive event coordinator! Kristy was incredible to work with while planning the event! We requested the Patio for the shower (sight unseen) and when I arrived there, I was extremely impressed by the classy, rustic vibe! It was a hot day so Orso's staff placed large floor umbrellas around to keep the area shaded which was a tremendous help! We ordered the brunch package with choice of 3 entree's and a 2-hour Bloody Mary & Mimosa drink package. The brunch package included a Custom-made menu for the event which added a personal touch to the tables! LOVED THE FOOD not to mention the incredible service we received during the entire party! Overall, Orso's is by far the BEST venue to host an event when considering price, food, service and ambiance! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My Bridal Shower was hosted at Orso's on their patio & even with it being a rainy day it was a lovely time & had such a great vibe. We chose the Family Style brunch option & had a limited host bar. The food was amazing. My guests were very impressed & had such wonderful things to say all day about it. Their brunch packages are extremely affordable which can be a hard thing to find when looking to host an event for a large number of people in the city. I would suggest going with their open bar package; as that was also really affordable & our bar tab did run up pretty quickly. We did not choose this option because we only wanted to serve a limited selection of alcohol; however, Orso's was willing to add a specialty drink to the package for a slight upcharge. Overall a great place in Chicago to host an event. We will definitely be keeping this on our list for future events.

We held my daughter's wedding shower at Orso's. Reasonably priced, garden area quite beautiful and cool w/ shade during a hot day. Staff went beyond to assist us. Offering us drinks during set up (our open bar time had not started), assisting a guest having difficulty parking, food excellent. Overall fantastic experience and service. Had worried parking would be a problem but most people found on street parking easily, and if later in day there were abundant parking garages in the area.

Orso’s and their party planner Kristy was professional and accommodating from the minute we met and continued throughout the entire planning process including the day of the shower - a true pleasure to work with.

I hosted my daughter's bridal shower brunch at Orso's and everything was phenomenal! Kristy was an absolute pleasure to work with and answered all my questions quickly while providing her expertise. The food and the atmosphere were exactly the vibe I was going for! The staff did not disappoint either. They were more than willing to help with anything we needed. Everyone had a lovely time!

We used Orso's for an after wedding brunch. It was a great outdoor space and the staff was very accommodating. The food was good and their drink package selection more than accommodated our guests for a mid morning brunch. Even with it being a hot June day, the outdoor garden offered a lot of shaded spaces and our guests were able to spread out amongst the grape vines and enjoy a Tuscan inspired brunch.

We hosted my sisters bridal shower with 25-30 girls on Orso’s rooftop and worked with Kristy. She was fantastic to work with and made the day so special! The food was great, servers were wonderful and the rooftop setting was so perfect for summer in Chicago. Thank you Kristy and team!

We hosted the rehearsal dinner for our son and his fiance on July 7. We had 98 guests on the patio and it was outstanding! Orso's helped with every detail. The staff was awesome and the dinner was amazing. Kristy and the entire staff were friendly, professional and courteous.

Orso's is one of the BEST restaurants in Chicago.. My husband & I had our rehearsal dinner on the outdoor patio in June and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we reached out for a quote to leaving the dinner, the amount of professionalism and attention to detail was SO amazing. Orso's event staffs attention to detail and amount of help they provided to me was better than I could have imagined. We've eaten almost everything on the menu and you can't go wrong with ANY dish.. we chose to do a family style dinner which fed everyone with food to take home too.. Their Jalapeno gnocchi is one of the best dishes in the city. We adore Orso's & will continue to visit for ANY occasion!! They are the BEST!!!

We chose Orso's as the venue for our son's wedding Welcome Party and couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome! 70 ppl in a semi-private event on the patio. Kristy was extremely helpful during the planning process and there for us every step of the way the night of the event. The staff was gracious and accommodating, the food was great and the atmosphere exactly as we imagined. We are not local but the entire process was seamless. Thank you Orso's!

I hosted my sister’s bridal shower here on Sunday and everything was amazing. Kristy was great to work with leading up to the shower with great communication and ensuring everything was covered. Day of, we had a semi private space on the patio and it didn’t even feel semi private with the way they set everything up. The food was amazing and we had so many compliments on it. Even the mother of the groom said how much she loved the green eggs and ham (and she doesn’t even like eggs). The service was also great, huge shoutout to Orlando for staying on top of our drinking group and ensuring everyone had a mule or mimosa in hand. We couldn’t have asked for better staff on our event. From the price, the space, and the people, I couldn’t recommend Orsos more!

The rehearsal dinner was at Orso's and we cannot say enough great things about Kristy, the event planner. She made our evening so special by placing twinkle decorative lights in the patio area, printing our menu and placing at each place setting, rewriting our place cards for us after we made a mistake while we were at the rehearsal, set up the projector and screen, coordinated service personnel. There was absolutely no detail forgotten by her! The food was hot, delicious and served timely and swiftly. The drinks were quick and refreshed and all special requests were happily made for us. The service staff, Orlando, specifically was more than accommodating and professional. They made the evening even more special by pausing during speeches and the video. They helped carry in and carry out supplies without prompting or asking. We have not one complaint and found the restaurant, food, staff beyond our expectation.

Orso's is a beautiful restaurant in every facet. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff are all top-notch. We selected them as our vendor for our bridal shower. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, much better than anywhere else we looked. Their atmosphere inside is cozy and outside is lovely with natural greenery. Their food is delicious (MUST TRY the Jalapeno Gnocchi!). And Lynette, their event planner, is such a friendly and accommodating, that she made the entire planning process a breeze. Not to mention all of the staff that worked there that day were not only friendly but also quite efficient and quick at their jobs. They helped us re-setup everything in a flash when our outdoor bridal shower got hit with unexpected rain! We had an amazing bridal shower there and we'll definitely be back for food!

I held my sons wedding rehearsal dinner here. I live in Florida and could not be there to actually see and make all the arrangements. Nakita worked with me long distance on all the details every step of the way and made it so easy. Everything was beautiful and perfect! The food is AMAZING. All 50 of my guests agreed . The staff and service was incredible. The atmosphere and ambiance on the outdoor patio is so lovely. I would definitely recommend Orso’s restaurant for any special occasion .

Orso's was an absolutely wonderful vendor for our rehearsal dinner. It was easy to book and we were so excited that we were able to do a semi-private party on their patio. The space out there is absolutely beautiful, our guests were so impressed. The only hard part was choosing between all the delicious food options. Everyone loved the food we chose and local friends and family all commented how much they loved the restaurant and would have to come back. We originally were working with a different coordinator there but about a week before Nakita took over for our event and did so seamlessly. She was very attentive to our group the night of and made sure we had everything we needed.

Orzo’s was an awesome venue to host a rehearsal dinner for my son and his beautiful bride-to-be! The North Patio was perfect for our 45 guests. There was ample space for seating and also an area for guests to mingle. Lynette was wonderful to work with and the food was amazing! I highly recommend Orso’s for any special occasion!!

Orso’s was the best possible place to have our rehearsal dinner. I had been coming to Orso’s for Italian dinners for 10 years now. So when I was getting married I knew I wanted Orso’s to host our rehearsal. I have had girls Christmas dinners in the patio and lunch and dates inside. But I never knew they had a rooftop. Lynette showed us the rooftop and we instantly fell in love. Lynette was amazing and always responded very promptly. She went above and beyond to fit our needs and answer any and app questions. She even printed our menus for everyone’s: which for a bride was one less thing I had to do. And placed the name cards I needed beforehand. The ambiance was something out of a story book. The flowers were just stunning that you didn’t have to add any of your own decor. We brought a little speaker and played frank Sinatra which was plenty of music for everyone to hear. The staff was so accommodating and quick whenever we needed anything. We fit 37 people comfortably on the rooftop patio. Everyone after was telling us we hit it out of the park with the rehearsal dinner and food. They even said it was the best rehearsal dinner they had ever been to, and I couldn’t agree more. I would choose Orso’s again over and over a million times. Thanks Lynette, Orso’s, and staff. It was truly memorable.

We had our daughter’s engagement party here & it exceeded expectations for sure! Lynette was a pleasure to work with & the food was fabulous! The wait staff was incredibly attentive & even packed up the leftovers for us to take home. I highly recommend this place & we checked a lot of other places on the same street & their prices were very reasonable compared to most!

I hosted a small bridal shower (15 people) in the Tiffany Room at Orsos and it was fantastic. Lynette was so nice to work with throughout the process - they made personalized menu cards for the event, too! Awesome food and very affordable!

We recently hosted a bridal shower at Orso’s and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious (Nutella French toast, mmmm) and the service was great. The patio is gorgeous too. It happened to be during the old town art festival when roads were closed and they were extremely helpful and accommodating, from coming in early to retrieve our cake to meeting us at the closest open intersection with a dolly to unload. I would 100% recommend Orso’s for a wedding event!

She was always so responsive to my emails and calls and the day of the shower she was a saving grace making sure everything was set up. The staff was extremely attentive and the drinks and food and ambiance were perfect.

Lynette was incredibly helpful in helping us pick spaces and set the menu, and was more than accommodating on the day of the event, allowing us to use an inside space when our original outdoor space wasn't usable due to rain. The food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced, the service was great and our guests had a great time - we'd highly recommend Orso's for your wedding event or just a night out!

Our coordinator Lynette was very helpful and easy to work with. The food was excellent, delivered in family style and plenty of food.

We used Orso's for our rehearsal dinner and it was hands down the best decision we made. They were so accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process, and were so understanding with COVID when we had to postpone for a full year. The space was perfect for what we wanted. Their outdoor patio is dreamy and their food was delicious. Don't sleep on this place!

We had a rehearsal dinner for 30 people. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and looked just beautiful. The room had a gold ceiling with beautiful chandeliers. The food was outstanding and the service was terrific! I worked with 3 separate coordinators, due to Covid, and each one was wonderful and helpful.

Growing up in Chicago and coming from a large Italian family my first requisite in searching for the perfect place was great Italian food with a quaint Italian neighborhood vibe and Orso’s did not disappoint! We decided on the patio for the event and it was lovely! Dalia was a great help planning the event. I was worried because I started with Sienna and she was so helpful and accommodating. Dalia took over seamlessly. She was very helpful with all of the planning. She anticipated the possibility of rain and the staff seamlessly moved the tables with hardly a distraction to any of the the 60 guests it was amazing. The food was fabulous everyone raved! The service was also wonderful the staff was very helpful and the patio was lovely! Agnese, was so thoughtful she stayed to meet us and make sure everything was as we hoped before the party began! I can’t say enough of how great my experience was from initial planning to the actual event. It was lovely and memorable! Not to mention delicious! I highly recommend Orso’s for your next event!

Orso’s is hands down one of the best restaurants in Chicago! As a long time customer (17 years and counting), I have always enjoyed dining at Orso’s for many reasons. One of the primary reasons is that I grew up in a small, northeastern Ohio town mainly inhabited with large, Italian families like mine! The small local business aspect in conjunction with the family-owned model always have been two elements which have kept me coming back! It makes me feel like I am in my hometown - and let’s not forget about the delicious food, exceptional service, wonderful wine selection and fantastic prices!!! Because a friend of mine used to work there as well, I started having private events at Orso’s. This became a new family tradition in which case my loud (yet fun!) Italian family and I rented out the back patio during a few winters. A special shout out to Chris and the entire staff for putting up with my group! We always had a blast! Shortly after hosting a family event in late February 2018, I went on a first date in March 2018. If you can believe it, my date at the time chose Orso’s. I had lived nearby at the time yet he no idea this was one of “my places”. Needless to say, that man made a great choice, we had a fabulous date and 3.5 years later, we had our rehearsal dinner on the Orso’s back patio just this past August 6, 2021! While I initially worked with Sienna during the venue booking and pandemic postponements (she is part of the family) who I adore, she moved on to a different adventure and that leads me to Dalia! I met Dalia in person a few months before our event, and we instantly chatted as if we were old friends! She is so kind, and she picked right up where Sienna left off which made the transition easy! What a great hiring decision! A special thanks to Dalia and the team who created a memorable and incredible event for our families and friends! Working with the team at Orso’s over the years has been seamless, fun, and very organized! No detail goes unnoticed and the service staff always delights us! Brett and I can’t wait to come back on dates as host events for years to come. This is, after all, the place where I fell in love with my now husband! Hosted a bridal shower under the pergola on back patio. Every detail was perfect. Dalia guided me through the entire event. Was so easy for me to plan! Food and service was excellent.

My fiancé and I had a small engagement celebration with some friends on the two rooftop patios. The setting was gorgeous, the service was immaculate, and the food was delicious. Leading up to the event, we worked with Dalia who was an absolute rock star. She was kind, responsive, and extremely accommodating. On the night of the event, Dalia – along with Nickita and Victor – helped make the night run smoother than butter. My fiancé and I couldn't have been happier with how the night turned out, and we plan on booking another private event in the future!

We had my daughter's Bridal Party Luncheon with 16 people here on the day before her wedding. The setting was beautiful out on the patio with white tablecloths. Orso's provided a beautifully printed menu card for each place setting to describe our family style lunch. Our servers were good and attentive. I would not recommend the potatoes with the salmon. They did not look appetizing at all. We did love the salmon and the eggplant most of all!

Orso's is definitely the best place in Chicago to have an affordable and stress-free wedding! Agnese' and Dalia were attentive, punctual, flexible and beyond helpful in planning and execution. After getting to know the food, the staff and how Orso's operates, I knew they were professionals and that we would receive excellent service but somehow they still exceeded my expectations! My husband and I would love to get married there every weekend if we could! Our guests are still full from dinner and raving about the food a month later!

I hosted a surprise bridal brunch shower for my daughter at Orso's. I was given a number of seating options and selected the covered back patio. Dalia was wonderful to work with prior to the event with excellent communication, and set up a nice, semi private area for our event. Our menu and bar choices were excellent, and we received fantastic service throughout our event. I highly recommend Orso's for events large and small!

We had our wedding rehearsal at Orso's June 3, 2021. Their patio was great and very beautiful! We had around 40 guests and everyone was able to walk around and sit comfortably. We had a great time working with Orso's event planning staff. They were very open and understanding with the last minute changes from the pandemic. Also, the food is great! Classic italian food that was delicious. We love going there for dinners as well with family and friends!

Orso's really came through on putting together a lovely rehearsal dinner at the beginning of June. The patio was set up perfectly so that all of our guests had ample room to sit, stand, and move around. The wait staff was also on top of their game. We would highly recommend considering Orso's for your party

We had the most amazing wedding celebration at orsos!! Their beautiful outdoor garden was perfect for our celebration - their staff and service was impeccable throughout the entire night with attention to every detail. It was a pleasure to work with Sienna, their coordinator - who made the planning process extremely easy ! Highly recommend this space for your event !

Sienna is perfection to work with. She is organized, responsive and knowledgeable! Due to the pandemic, we had to scale back our original plan for our reception. Through all changes, Orso's was receptive and excited to help us plan the perfect reception. Sienna was able to arrange tables and section off a portion of the patio to accommodate our smaller group. The servers night of was absolutely incredible, so attentive and made sure to come by frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Not to mention, the food was amazing... still dreaming about the fresh bread, pasta and delicious drinks. We are planning a larger celebration at Orso's next year and I absolutely cannot wait to bring all of our guests there to celebrate!

My husband and I just had our wedding at Orsos in their beautiful garden patio a few weeks ago. The Orsos staff is amazing, making our day so special and exactly how we wanted. Especially given all of the ever evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Orsos was very helpful and responsive with any and every question we had given the circumstances. We highly recommend Orsos for any event. Great food, staff and beautiful venue!

The Orsos staff is one of the most service-oriented in the industry, the italian food is absolutely delicious, and the outdoor spaces are beautiful. We initially booked the outdoor back patio for our rehearsal dinner and as COVID circustances worsened, Sienna and her team were flexible enough to accomodate us for the wedding reception. Not only did she accomodate and keep us up to date on the changing rules in downtown Chicago, she proactively planned and made suggestions to avoid replanning in the future. Sienna provided us strong support, guidance, and advice to keep our guests safe and ensure we had one of the best nights of our life. She helped us coordinate drop-offs (of reception related items) and made time to setup all our items on the back patio better than we could've done ourselves. She was organized, accessible, transparent, and did everything she could to make planning and the day-of easy for us and my family throughout the entire process. With the regulations in Chicago (masks on unless eating, staying at tables, etc), the Orsos team stopped by our tables every few minutes to ensure guests dri
