We utilized the patio space, which worked beautifully, even at the end of October. The food was incredible (we got so many compliments!) and they did all they could to go above and beyond for my husband and I. The day was everything I could have hoped for and more, and much of that was thanks to the Orso's Team!

From the moment we started planning, Dana, the manager, was a dream to work with. She was kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, always ready to help us bring our vision to life. Even when we made last-minute changes, like serving dessert early or adding some fun and unexpected decorations (think little ant stickers and monkeys), she handled everything with total ease and a smile. The staff was outstanding in every way. They worked seamlessly together and made sure every guest felt cared for. What stood out most was how relaxed and genuine they were; it felt like they were celebrating with us rather than just working the event. Their good energy set the tone for the entire night. The food was phenomenal. Every dish came out hot, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. There was an abundance of it too—honestly, we had more than enough for everyone, and our guests were thrilled to take some leftovers home after the party. It felt generous, thoughtful, and very in the spirit of celebration. The venue itself is a true hidden gem in Chicago. It has that perfect mix of old-school Chicago charm with cozy greenery, romantic lighting, and an intimate yet spacious layout. We loved that it had plenty of room for dancing and mingling, while still feeling warm and inviting. One of the highlights was our private two-tiered deck, complete with a second bar. It gave our guests the option to explore different spaces, enjoy a change of scenery, and make the night feel dynamic and special. We honestly could not have asked for a better experience. The price was incredibly reasonable compared to other venues, yet the quality, service, and atmosphere were unmatched. We are already talking about hosting an annual celebration here, and we cannot wait to come back for dinner again soon. If you are looking for a venue that combines heartfelt service, amazing food, and a true Chicago vibe, Orso’s is the place. It exceeded every expectation and gave us a wedding night we will never forget. Thank you to Dana and the entire Orso’s team for creating something magical. The team went above and beyond to craft custom menus, specifically celebrating 'Happy Birthday, Hannah!' messaging. I was able to craft a custom menu tailored to my guests favorite items and even dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we had a blast taking advantage of the 'bottomless' 2 hour wine package deal :) The staff were super attentive to our table, timely, kind, and patient with the bulk of food and orders. I was so impressed by the team's interest in customizing the event to all of my requests and needs, being flexible to my bringing flowers/decor, and their overall genuine desire to make it perfect. This venue is perfect for a birthday, bridal shower, work dinner, or other small group/intimate setting. They are sure to make it special and I'd recommend to anyone!

They decorated menus to match our name cards, which gave the dinner a special touch. I am so happy with our rehearsal dinner and how things turned out! I highly recommend them for any event!

From the moment we reached out, the Orso’s team was exceptional. Their communication was prompt and thoughtful, and they were incredibly flexible in helping us shape the evening to match our vision. Every detail was handled with care, and their willingness to accommodate special requests - especially for guests with allergies - was deeply appreciated. The food was outstanding. Each dish arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and there was more than enough for everyone to enjoy seconds or take home leftovers. The bartenders were friendly, efficient, and kept the drinks flowing smoothly all night. The atmosphere on the patio was magical - intimate, relaxed, and perfect for gathering with our closest friends and family. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting or a more dedicated team to help us kick off our wedding weekend. We wholeheartedly recommend Orso’s for any special occasion. They helped make our night unforgettable.

rear patio and delicious Italian fare. As such it was a perfect choice to share the energy of our neighborhood with our guests. Nakita & Sienna (and the rest of the Orso's staff) were tremendously helpful throughout the process. They were quick to respond, flexible in our menu adjustments where needed, and discretely checked in with us throughout the event to assure everything was proceeding to our enjoyment. Since we had a summer wedding the biggest part of the attraction for Orso's was their offering to cordon off a private section of the outdoor patio to host our event. Even with other customers on the rear patio the arrangement was such that we felt we had a private space. The patio also had a rear entrance from the side street that allowed our guests easy entry without having to shuffle through the front door and (narrow) front dining room. The food was served promptly with ample portions and was absolutely delicious (as our previous meals at Orso's had been as well). Our guests were also provided with a bar package that kept drinks in their hands throughout without any wait. All dishes and drinks were bussed from the area without fuss. Orso's provided clean white linens and allowed us to adjust the table arrangement as preferred - and also provided a floor plan to illustrate where the buffet style meal would be laid out. This allowed us to create a space near the ends of our tables where we had a few loved ones give toasts and speeches throughout the event. Despite being fronted on the very busy Wells Street in Old Town the secluded patio provided a quiet, leafy escape from any of the usual Chicago noise. I could not recommend Orso's enough for a private event. For reference our group was about 40 people. (P.S. I HIGHLY recommend the fumigato)
