Osmium Mobile Bartending Co

We had a terrible experience with Osmium Mobile Bartending Co. First off, they were extremely late, arriving around 4-4:30 after texting that morning that they’d be there between 12-1. While we understand things happen (they claimed car trouble, which was not made very clear to our coordinator and as a professional company, it is their responsibility to ensure reliable transportation), this delay caused a major setback. They started service about 45 minutes late, and when a guest asked for a beer around 4:30 (when cocktail hour was supposed to begin), they asked if he wanted it warm or cold—and if he wanted cold, it was going to take a while because they were not prepared. To make matters worse, despite agreeing that we’d cover the cost of beer and wine for our guests and only charge for liquor, they were charging people for beer and wine! They claim there was a miscommunication even though our wishes were repeated back to us on different occasions so we did not think there was an issue. Our guests were also being charged for “complimentary” his and her drinks. I do not believe they should call them “complimentary” if they are not actually complimentary. Despite my husband and I’s attempts to resolve the situation, they requested us to stop our reception events and present the contract (which they did not have present themselves). They worded the contract with terms, such as “alcohol” , when multiple types of “alcohol” were discussed, (which was conveyed to us that it was correct and that she understood what we requested before signing). At approximately 6:30, she agreed to cut the prices of the drinks (originally $7-$8 a beer) to half price, but our guests should’ve never been charged for beer or wine in the first place. It was decided to deal with the issues at a later time because their attitude was unprofessional and dismissive. We no longer wanted to bring our concerns to them and wanted to try to salvage our night. Post wedding, issues were addressed and were denied or ignored. They claim a flawless service. It was made known to us by a large number of people that there were issues with the bar. Even the venue coordinator, stating unpleasant encounters. They had to borrow supplies from the venue, due to a lack of preparation. Alcohol we did not agree on was present and alcohol we did agree was not present until later in the night. Overall, the service was extremely disappointing, and we would never hire them again.
