Located in Gaylord, MI, Otsego Resort acts as an unforgettable wedding venue for couples during any season. First built in 1939, this resort has plenty of historic charm for soon-to-be-weds to enjoy. It offers an eclectic variety of venues ranging from traditional elegance to rustic and relaxed. The resort offers a list of amenities to keep you and your guests comfortable, from the picturesque valley views to the various outdoor activities.
Otsego Resort has 4,000 lush acres of land, featuring a golf course, ski slopes, and different indoor and outdoor event spaces for nuptial events. You can exchange your vows on the Sitzmark Terrace, a spacious manicured lawn just steps away from the main lodge. You and up to 300 guests can enjoy the panoramic views of the Sturgeon River Valley as you exchange your vows. After your ceremony commences, you will have four different locations to spend your cocktail hour and reception. Their largest space is the Special Events Center, which offers 5200 square feet of versatile space to create your dream day. For more intimate gatherings of 80 people, you can choose from the cozy Sitzmark or the bright and airy River Cabin. Rehearsal dinners, showers, and intimate weddings can use the breathtaking Pontresina Room, with a unique natural wood ceiling and large windows for scenic views.
Otsego Resort has guest rooms, townhomes, and individual cabins onsite, with modern amenities to ensure a relaxing, comfortable stay. Tables, chairs, and linens will be provided by the staff, and the in-house catering team will customize your banquet menu to please your palette. From your moments spent getting ready, to your day-after brunch, the resort team will work to ensure you have the wedding of your dreams.

Absolutely loved our wedding at The Otsego Resort. We had our ceremony outside, it over looks the ski hill/trees. The trees were changing which made for gorgeous photos. Afterwards...
, our guests only had to go a few feet to The Sitzmark where we had a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing! Not only is this venue beautiful, it’s a one of a kind. You won’t find a lodge like this anywhere else.
Our guests were also able to book rooms at the resort, no need to worry about driving home. I loved that we were also able to rent out the entire Hilltop lodge for our wedding party. This gave us a space to gather for a bonfire the night before and a space for the girls to get ready on the day of!
The staff were so accommodating and we felt so special, everyone knew it was our special weekend! This special treatment even extended to our food tasting! And the food was amazing as well.
I’ll always look back at the Otsego resort with fondness, and my husband and I look forward to skiing here every year because it’s our special spot.

helped book all of our guests in the lodges onsite. She gave us a detailed list of several vendors in the area and made it very easy for us to get everything set up.
If we hit a snag, Abby and the other staff members at Otsego Resort would drop everything to help us sort it out. The manager came back in at 11pm the night before our wedding to help us get our photographer's room keys, etc.
Everything provided by the resort including food, drinks, and staff were above expectations and we would highly recommend working with them!!
