d huge ballroom right next to each other made that perfect. Corey was our main contact helping us coordinate everything and he was everything you would want in a planner. He was organized, easy to get in touch with, and helped accommodate any and all requests. We got a complimentary food tasting where we could bring our parents, and on the day of the wedding had lunch and drinks provided for our bridal parties. The food at this venue was incredible. There were tons of options to choose from and the menu that we settled on was a hit. Most of our guests couldn’t believe that there was dinner service coming after the cocktail hour because there was so much food. We did dinner family style and after salad was served we had a fish, chicken, and beef dish on the table, as well as pasta, risotto, and veggies. Everyone got to try all of the dishes instead of picking just one, and everyone had plenty to eat. The bar was loaded with lots of different options of actual top shelf liquor and canned drinks and the bartenders and servers were all great. We loved the farmhouse tables, and had Erin, one of the partners, handle our floral arrangements that all came out perfect. They took all of the wedding day work off our plates and let us just enjoy the day. We highly recommend having your wedding at Otterkill, we couldn’t have imagined a better day than we had.

ng there this year as a vendor and I've NEVER experienced such unprofessionalism, lack of knowledge about anything to do with a wedding, zero sensibility on what they should be doing, extremely poor customer relations and no etiquette whatsoever! The very young staff (made mostly of teenagers) should NOT be running a Golf Club let alone someone's prestigious wedding day. They were called "You're The Boss Events" out of Goshen and should've been called "Fail Like A Boss Events" and the one who was in charge was the most ridiculous coordinator I have ever worked with. Lacked EVERYthing to do with customer relations and knowledge of a wedding, was more worried about playing on his phone all day, disappeared constantly and that's JUST the beginning. Oh and as of writing this, THANK GOD they were fired already. But the staff? You've GOT to be kidding me! Never accommodated any of the guests when they were asked for something, nor the vendors. Always answered with an "I don't know" or "You'll have to ask someone else". One of these young punks even stole an envelope of cash which was a tip for one of the vendors and even PUT BACK THE RIPPED OPEN ENVELOPE INTO THE VENDORS JACKET POCKET!! Place was dirty and not kept up and the list goes on and on including their very poor attempt on even knowing what a timeline is, are you kidding me? BUT, the most disturbing experience of all? The actual owner who should NOT be talking to the public at all, not only threatened the groom but called him a liar and he was CLEARLY wrong! No Owner anywhere should speak to a paid customer like that. The Ego of this guy should be squashed and he should be taught a lesson in human decency let alone natural etiquette. I don't know if his mother taught him to be a mean-spirited egotistical human being or he was just born that way but OMG you JUST. DON'T. DO. THAT. In closing, think again about having ANY event at Otterkill. Food was bland, and not fresh tasting at all along with being undercooked. How is it possible that this place is even open for business!?!?!? You wonder why the turn over rate is extremely high for employees there too... well, now we know. No professional in charge anywhere. Very sad...

ub. Don't be discouraged by their wedsite which is outdated, the venue truly is fantastic! It is newly updated, and has the perfect rustic touch. It has an outpoor patio, pub area, ballroom, area to get married, and pool. It has beautiful bridges, and trees throughout the course. We did everything at the venue including the rehearsal dinner, getting ready, wedding ceremony, and of course cocktail hour/reception. Otterkill put on the wedding of my dreams! They let me make changes and additions to make for a personalized experience. They truly catered to my every wish and dream. -They hosted our rehearsal dinner as a buffet the night prior. -They had a beautiful bridal suite where myself and all my bridesmaids got ready. Fully stocked with snacks and beverages. -We were married under there beautiful pergola, where we were allowed to have a floral display installed. -The staff was incredible, especially Casey & Sara! -Cocktail hour was a huge hit, food was great and the bar was fully stocked! The outdoor patio area is stunning and even has a fire pit! -The pool is a beautiful sight to see! -The dinner food/desserts were amazing! -We had the sit down dinner. -There was a s'mores bar! -We had a sparkler send off! -The barn style bar was my favorite! -We had 150 people plus a photo booth and there was still plenty of room to move around in the ballroom. -They have Erin from YTB events as the day of coordinator, and she's fabulous! -We had an ice cream sundae bar! -Rose gold table cloths! Some reasons why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 1. The planning was stressful until the previous food and beverage coordinator left, Casey took over and smoothed out all of the details. 2. Someone had left there vehicle parked under the overhang for the entire day, so many of my photos of me walking down the isle have a Dodge Durango in them. 3. I requested mashed potatoes to be served with dinner, however we had roasted potatoes. Although they were delicious, not what I had hoped for. 4. The pool fountains did not work the night of the wedding. 5. The sticks for roasting the s'mores were a little too short-recommed longer sticks. 6. They need an updated website. 7. In case of rain, there was no real backup plan that would keep the bride and groom dry. 8. At the bar the light bulb on the right was out. I highly recommend Otterkill Golf & Country Club for any event. It was a magical evening thanks to the staffs help!

on the greens of the golf course with absolutely views of the course and the river, by a buffet style banquet in their new ballroom and cocktails on their new outdoor pergola covered patio. everybody commented on how good the food was compared to most weddings they attended. the manager Nikki attended us like we were family.
