We worked with Louis at Our Dance Studio in Lansing to prepare for our first dance, and he was absolutely amazing! Neither of us had much dance experience going in, but Louis made ...
us feel so comfortable and confident. He was patient, encouraging, and made the whole process so fun.
By the time our wedding day arrived, we felt totally ready—and our first dance ended up being one of our favorite moments of the night! Louis helped us create something that felt like us and truly memorable. We’re so grateful for his guidance and would 100% recommend him to any couple looking to shine on the dance floor!
What a fun experience to do with each other leading up to your wedding. Louis was great to work, super fun and energetic and always had us laughing. Our dance turned out great an...
d it was a lot of fun getting to do something together leading up to the wedding.
We had discussed doing a choreographed first dance throughout the time of our engagement, and decided to seek out a dance teacher around 3 months prior to our wedding. We found Lo...
uis on the knot and are so glad we decided to work with him! We were so nervous for our first session, but he was so kind and immediately had a picture of what to do for our dance! We had dance lessons every week up to our wedding, and can honestly say our dance was one of the things we were most excited for with our big day! Louis was able to explain the dance moves with ease, especially for two people without any dance experience. He made adjustments where needed but still pushed us outside of our comfort zone with dancing. We also just had so much fun during our dance lessons! We laughed so much and felt it was time we could spend on ourselves throughout the craziness of wedding planning. Louis became more than a teacher…he was a great friend! We even would show up some weeks tired and over the wedding process, and he was constantly cheering us on! Our guests LOVED our first dance! We received so many compliments. I even forgot one part of the dance and our guests couldn’t even tell! We definitely recommend working with Louis for your first dance!

Louis was amazing to work with! We went in for the free 45 minute lesson and we were hooked! He has a phenomenal personality for teaching; every lesson was so fun and very be...
ginner friendly. I thought he would just teach us some basic moves that we would repeat on and off. Instead, he choreographed us a personal dance that fit our cut of music for a one of a kind routine! Our guests said they felt like they were watching dancing with the stars! We went from two people unsure of how to even hold arms properly to two confident ballroom dancers by the wedding night. Thank you Louis!!
I will preface this by saying, I am not, nor ever have been a dancer. I was hesitant to do a choreographed "first dance". After a free lesson, my now wife was hooked, and we star...
ted the process. Louis was friendly, funny, and did a magnificent job keeping us on track. We did 10 lessons, and over that time he managed to teach this old dog a new trick. Louis was also great at working around our busy schedule to help us get prepared.
Was our first dance perfect? No...but it was still so much better than anyone would have ever expected, and as Louis so often pointed out, no one will know we made a mistake...except us!
If you are looking for a local dance instructor to help you put together a "first dance" in the Lansing area. This is the place to go. Hands down, I don't think we could have had a better experience.
Thank you Louis for working with us! We were told we looked "Amazing"
We had such a great time taking lessons from Louis. It was a fun date night for us and Louis was great to work with. All of our guest loves our choreographed dance
We loved our dancing date nights! We would go to dance and then go to dinner. It was a great wedding preparation that we could do together. Gage and Louis made the experience even ...
more fun! We went for a free 45 minute trial and just fell in love with it. Gage choreographed our dance, cut the music to just how we wanted it, and put our music on a flash drive to give to the DJ. We did a total of 10 dance lessons. It seemed pricey, but in the end it was well worth it! Our family and friends were so impressed at the wedding. We are very happy that we did dance lessons here and may do some in the future for fun. They are very professional and fun to work with. I would absolutely suggest going for the free 45 minute session. We hope you love it like we did!
We had previously taken some dance lessons with Gage and really enjoyed the lessons. So we couldn't resist having a first dance choreographed! It was so much fun and he catered it ...
to us and our skill level. We felt so confident for our first dance and enjoyed every minute of it!!
Gage was a great instructor and never got frustrated with us when we couldn't get something right. Our wedding dance turned out amazing, and we couldn't have done it without his he...
