Hi,
Our Dance Studio is a family business. Myself (Louis Soma) and my son (Gage Clark) are the teachers who will be helping you with your first dance.
I have been teaching Ballroom Dancing for 39 years. I have been blessed with many awesome students both socially and competitively. I have 2 son's and two Grand daughters:). My oldest son works for me and my youngest is a cook.
I have also taught the last 6 Ice Dancing champions for the united States. I have also taught the Gold and Silver medalist in Ice Dancing.
My son has been teaching for 11 years. He is also a competitive Ballroom dancer with a pro partner as well as with his students.

uis on the knot and are so glad we decided to work with him! We were so nervous for our first session, but he was so kind and immediately had a picture of what to do for our dance! We had dance lessons every week up to our wedding, and can honestly say our dance was one of the things we were most excited for with our big day! Louis was able to explain the dance moves with ease, especially for two people without any dance experience. He made adjustments where needed but still pushed us outside of our comfort zone with dancing. We also just had so much fun during our dance lessons! We laughed so much and felt it was time we could spend on ourselves throughout the craziness of wedding planning. Louis became more than a teacher…he was a great friend! We even would show up some weeks tired and over the wedding process, and he was constantly cheering us on! Our guests LOVED our first dance! We received so many compliments. I even forgot one part of the dance and our guests couldn’t even tell! We definitely recommend working with Louis for your first dance!

ginner friendly. I thought he would just teach us some basic moves that we would repeat on and off. Instead, he choreographed us a personal dance that fit our cut of music for a one of a kind routine! Our guests said they felt like they were watching dancing with the stars! We went from two people unsure of how to even hold arms properly to two confident ballroom dancers by the wedding night. Thank you Louis!!

ted the process. Louis was friendly, funny, and did a magnificent job keeping us on track. We did 10 lessons, and over that time he managed to teach this old dog a new trick. Louis was also great at working around our busy schedule to help us get prepared.
Was our first dance perfect? No...but it was still so much better than anyone would have ever expected, and as Louis so often pointed out, no one will know we made a mistake...except us!
If you are looking for a local dance instructor to help you put together a "first dance" in the Lansing area. This is the place to go. Hands down, I don't think we could have had a better experience.

more fun! We went for a free 45 minute trial and just fell in love with it. Gage choreographed our dance, cut the music to just how we wanted it, and put our music on a flash drive to give to the DJ. We did a total of 10 dance lessons. It seemed pricey, but in the end it was well worth it! Our family and friends were so impressed at the wedding. We are very happy that we did dance lessons here and may do some in the future for fun. They are very professional and fun to work with. I would absolutely suggest going for the free 45 minute session. We hope you love it like we did!
