Wendy is so frickin cool! As a nonbinary person, I was bracing for the worst, but Wendy used the proper pronouns for the whole ceremony and was extremely courteous and kind. She helped us design and write a unique program that genuinely expressed our feelings for each other. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a nontraditional and/or authentic wedding.

Wendy was absolutely amazing! She was super responsive and helped answer any questions I had. She arrived early and made me feel at ease the day of the wedding. I highly recommend using her as your officiant!

Wendy was amazing! I don't know what I would have done without her! I was expecting to receive more direction from the venue owner's, but I did not. My husband and I eloped and had the most wonderful experience with Wendy from Our Simple Ceremony. She went above and beyond to make our simple ceremony special. She walked us through the whole thing. I didn't expect our little ceremony to be so beautiful but it truly was all thanks to Wendy. We will forever treasure it especially since Wendy was kind enough to take some pictures of us (not something an officiant needs to do at all but since we had no photographer, she amazingly stepped in and helped us capture a few lovely moments. Wendy, is a great officiant. Very punctual, speaks with professionalism, and very easy to understand. I’ve been to quite a few weddings in my time. And what’s really great about Wendy is that she’s all about the bride and groom‘s day. She does a great job of keeping the focus on them, I’ve been to some where the officiant is trying to put on a show and make it all about themselves. You can tell she loves what she does, she really speaks from her heart not like she’s reading off pages it just flows so naturally. She is the model of what a wedding officiant should be. I highly recommend her to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.

Wendy really did an exceptional job officiating our wedding. Even though it took us almost 4 years to actually have our wedding from the time we first starting working with her (Covid made it so we had to postpone our original date), every step was easy and I loved how our ceremony turned out. It was everything we were looking for! She has pre-written vows in several styles to choose from, or you can write your own; she also has sweet/romantic little additions like poems that you can choose so that you can make your ceremony as long or short as you want it. Basically, it was simply easy… I was personally worried about the ceremony because I didn’t know what to do or even how to begin, but I told her this in the beginning and she really went above and beyond to help us with everything. Also, she is just the sweetest person. Her calming presence really helped me to not worry about anything while we were exchanging vows. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to everyone!

Wendy was AMAZING to work with for our wedding. We had to postpone our date 4 times as we ended up eloping on our original date to get legally married. Wendy was able to still be our officiant and marry us "again" with the reading of our vows in front of our family and friends on 5/1/21. Wendy was our officiant for our wedding on 10/25/19 at Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville, FL. She is spectacular! The personalized wedding vows she helped us with were so beautiful. She is professional, prompt, and thorough. She is patient but will get things done in a timely manner. We asked her to come to our rehearsal the day before, where she went over the ceremony processional, different sections of the ceremony itself, and recessional twice. She made sure everyone was clear about what their expectations were for the ceremony. On our wedding day, everything went incredibly smoothly and the ceremony was so beautiful. I definitely think Wendy's professionalism and experience was the reason why. I would 100% recommend Wendy to anyone looking for a wedding officiant in the area.

Wendy was extremely professional, very accommodating and sweet. She has a great speaking voice and did an amazing job connecting with us as a couple and our desires for the ceremony. We were both nervous but she offered cues to keep us on track so all we had to do was make eye contact with one another. I highly recommend her and am a little sad I won’t ever need her again!

Our Simple Ceremony is Simply Amazing! I cannot thank Wendy enough for everything she did for our special day. My husband and I were beyond happy with everything. Wendy is quick to respond, knowledgeable, kind, understand, and patient. We were coming from out of town and she made everything easy and painless. The wedding package she put together was beyond perfect. My only regret from the day was not taking 2 seconds to get a picture of her with us after the ceremony! Wendy really was the best ever! Mine and my husbands decision to get married was very spontaneous and sudden. I had no idea where to start. We knew we wanted something simple for now, and originally we were going to get married at the court house and then have a wedding ceremony after I finished school. But our court house doesn’t offer this service anymore. So I starting searching and I found Wendy’s website. I ended up emailing her and got a quick response back giving me the details to the package we wanted. She was very flexible with the date and time. She also gave a great recommendation of a location for us to get married. On our wedding day, Wendy was on very punctual and professional. She explained everything she would be doing in detail first and then we got started. My husband and I got to say “I do” under a beautiful gazebo in a park with his mother as a witness. It was very intimate and perfect in every way. I feel very blessed that I found Wendy’s website, she made it affordable and stress free!

I found Wendy when looking for an officiant for a wedding that was available with short notice and simple. Wendy found the perfect balance of simple/laid-back and sweet/romantic. We loved our ceremony with her in the botanical gardens! She worked with us on customizing exactly what we wanted and made sure our day was perfect! She worked with the photographer extremely well to ensure wonderful memories were captured! Prices were very reasonable and fit our budget!

Wendy was simply wonderful. She was easy to communicate with and very responsive to our questions and any changes we wanted to make to our ceremony. She spoke eloquently and with such ease that the whole ceremony flowed very nicely, as if she’d known us for years! She even whispered to us a few times to take a deep breath or to simply help calm our nerves during the ceremony which was very much appreciated as I was an emotional wreck! At the moment, I could only concentrate on my now husband, and her little reminders brought me back and reminded me to breathe. The whole day was just perfect, and I am so glad that Wendy was a part of it!

Wendy Thurow married my husband and I in Peggy O'neil Basham Park on June 23, 2018. We were planning to have a very small ceremony. Wendy's response was very quick and we went over all options leaving nothing out. All emails and phone calls were very details and she made sure we were all on the same page. Wendy recommended the beautiful Peggy O'neil Basham Park. When we arrived she was there early scouting the perfect spot to perform the ceremony. And to top it all off we did not hire cameraman for our ceremony, or so we thought! Wendy doubled as our officiant and snapped a bunch of pictures for us at the same time. And they came out great!! My husband and I truly thank Wendy for being so personable and sweet on our special day.

We let her facilitate our rehearsal as well and she basically taught all of us what to do and where to be. She was patient with all of us when we had delays and was always happy to help! I loved that she had her own microphone so that everybody could hear what was said during the ceremony (I've never seen it at any weddings I've attended!)
