I can't say enough good things about Corey. He was easy to work with, really helped organize the events for our wedding to get the most possible time to dance. It was amazing watching him read the room and switching the tempo when it was needed and played really great songs all night. We hired Corey for both our ceremony and reception. My sister officiated our wedding and Corey made sure that she was set up for success with her microphone and talked her through the run down as it was her first time officiating. Corey is an unbelievable DJ who truly gives you the boutique experience. Before my husband and I even chose a date for our wedding, we called Corey to make sure he had the date available. If you're thinking of booking Corey Young as your DJ, don't think, do it! He not only was an amazing DJ the night of our wedding, but he kept me sane in the days/months leading up to the wedding checking in with me and reassuring me that covid will NOT stop the fun no matter how many people show up. Corey will work with you in whatever wild ideas you have, he'll find the songs you want and the songs you never even knew you wanted to fill the rest. There was never a moment the dance floor wasn't full of people having an amazing time. He was also seamless in moving from the ceremony to the cock tail hour and to the reception and all of the details of the reception . We also went with the photo booth his company provides. It was an excellent time for people to grab a breather between dancing and made my husband and I cry laughing looking at the photo book/thumb drive they give to you at the end of the night. Corey Young is the absolute best!

Corey Young is the perfect DJ for your wedding. I had my wedding outside at a family farm in Orange, Virginia and it unfortunately rained during the ceremony and my vendors were forced to move the ceremony and the cocktail hour around and he was super quick adapting to the change. We had a White/ Hispanic wedding and he did such an amazing job mixing the music and keeping everyone dancing. Everyone had so much fun and danced the night way!

Can I go more than 5 stars? Because DJ Corey Young out did himself for our wedding. Corey answered all my questions and assisted me with all my crazy ideas before the day of the event – all billion emails and texts were answered in a timely manner and he never gave up on me! On the day of our wedding, Corey arrived almost four hours early to set up and make sure everything was beyond perfect. During the ceremony, Corey set up of speakers, microphones for the violinist and guitar player and the Reverend, and assisting with the ceremony music. Inside the reception at Gurney’s Newport was beyond my expectations. The lights around the entire room and the digital print of our names were amazing. Corey truly knew how to work the crowd from the bridal party entry, to the first dance, to the very last song, Corey made it seem so seamless. I have been using Corey for many events throughout the years and I will continue to always use him, he is the best in the business and puts his heart into every event. My husband and I could not have asked for a better DJ for the night and we highly recommend him for not only a wedding but any event where you need a DJ. I don’t even know where to start. From the beginning Corey was so easy to work with, even finalizing the playlists last minute when it was taking us a little while to decide on songs (sorry Corey!). He was not only our DJ but also our Master of Ceremonies. He made the reception flow so seamlessly and made the ultimate playlists for every part of our reception. He got everyone on the dance floor and made the night so much fun and unforgettable for everyone. We have no words to describe how absolutely amazing Jalen was on our wedding day - from the start of the ceremony to the end of our reception he was absolutely phenomenal. Two weeks later and friends & family are still talking about our wedding because of the music, the entertainment, the set up of his equipment, the lighting, everything. There was not a second in the 5.5 hour reception where the whole entire dance floor wasn't absolutely full. Jalen kept the crowd on their feet all night. Seriously 20/10 recommend! He made our night one to remember for everyone.

This is a long overdue review. Our anniversary coming up reminded us that we never posted one. Corey DJed our wedding in Sept 2017. He was very accommodating, assisting with music and audio for our ceremony, then had people dancing all night at the reception. He had family members dancing who we never expected to see on the dance floor. It was also impressive how he realized to switch from the dance tunes while guests ate their cake, so we didn't waste any good dance songs. Our guests still talk about what a great wedding it was! We think a big part of that was thanks to Corey!

I highly recommend Corey for any event in which you need a DJ- especially a wedding! Corey came recommended through a friend’s family member’s wedding and he also DJ’ed my friends 30th birthday party. My fiancé and I met with Corey through email and he was quick to respond with any questions we had. Our wedding was a 16-86 year old crowd and the dance floor was full ALL night. Corey is the best! He is extremely professional and super fun! We had been to two weddings prior to ours that Corey DJ’d and we never left the dance floor and had the best time! We were so fortunate to have Corey at our wedding this past Labor Day weekend. When we managed to score Corey’s last available date this past summer for our wedding, we felt pretty lucky. From the very first consultation, Corey was approachable, responsive, and brought ease to the entire process – we knew we were in good hands, and he did not disappoint. In fact, our expectations were beyond met when Corey totally saved the day during the ceremony portion of our wedding (which he also DJ’ed). We had arranged for a recessional song to play that I was particularly excited about, however, the weather had other plans, and it began to pour in the middle of the ceremony (yes, this actually happened). Thankfully, we had an indoor location set up just in case and quickly switched spots, but I assumed the recessional song was out of the question. Entirely unbeknownst to me, Corey somehow secured all his equipment outdoors and moved inside just in time. Hearing our song blast out as we were pronounced man and wife was an absolute surprise and so, so special. The remainder of the evening continued on just as seamlessly, and Corey did an awesome job creating the right atmosphere for each part as well as ensuring it all flowed together. They say rain is good luck on your wedding day, but only if you have DJ Corey Young!

Corey Young is the best DJ of all time. I'll start there! He was very professional from the first time I contacted him. He always got back to me right away and communicated with me for the weeks leading up to the wedding. He made the planning part simple. He asked me all the questions and knew exactly what to do to execute our big day. He gave us great advice in creating a timeline for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. It was clear from our interactions with Corey that he had a lot of experience with weddings. He arrived well ahead of time to make sure everything was in place. He even foresaw things that may have been glitches and brought it to the attention of the event staff to make sure our day was perfect! The other thing we loved was that he was so good at going with the flow. We switched up the order of introductions last minute. I told him 30 seconds before he did the announcements and it went perfectly. He mixed a bunch of songs for the mother/son dance and somehow was able to make the uplighting change to the beat of the music!!!!! He made it look like a high class night club! We were so amazed. I highly recommend working with him for your wedding. Every time our wedding gets brought up It's never about the food, location or how pretty my dress was! It's always "your wedding was so fun" "I don't think I ever left the dance floor" "Your DJ was unbelievable" "Can I have your DJs info for our wedding next year" After planning a Wedding and concentrating on every detail I realize now that the DJ is the absolute most important part of the entire wedding day. It's not just the music its the flow of the entire day. I've been to $60,000 weddings and they aren't as good because nobody remembers the lobster. They remember if it was fun. BEST DJ AROUND! Corey has an insane ability to mix top 40 music with traditional classics. Everything flowed perfectly. He plays to the crowd and keeps everyone dancing and smiling. Our dance floor was crowed from the moment that he started! Corey is also AMAZING on the mic. He worked closely with a dinner band that played during dinner. The transition from the band to the DJ was absolutely FLAWLESS. He seriously takes the night to another level. We couldn't have been happier. I've been lucky enough to see DJ Corey in action over the past few years, so when I got engaged I knew just who to contact. Unfortunately he was booked on my day, but he had the perfect solution. He recommended I meet his son, Jalen, as he is a DJ as well. Upon meeting Jalen, I recognized him from a local hot spot where I mentioned to my fiancee that the DJ would be perfect for our wedding. It was fate! At every meeting Jalen was professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about being our DJ for his very first wedding! On our wedding day he and his assistant arrived ahead of schedule, efficiently set up their equipment with ease and he worked closely with our wedding coordinator to ensure the day stayed true to our timeline. Corey was the DJ for our wedding. To be honest, I really wanted a band when I set out, but once I realized that the amazing bands from Boston cost upwards of 12k for 4 hours, it was pretty much the first thing I cut. I did a little bit of background research on DJs in and around RI, and decided to go meet Corey with my fiance at the time. I knew as soon as I met him that he had the exact energy I wanted at my wedding- calm, cool, collected, outgoing. That said, throughout the wedding planning process, I kept feeling bummed that I didn't have a band. Let me tell you that having Corey at our wedding was the SINGLE best thing we could have done for us and for our guests--of all ages!! We had guests from age 6 to 86 and every single person there had SO much fun. Corey knew exactly what to play, when to play, how for how long to play it. I'm sure every bride thinks that there wedding was the most fun EVER, but I've literally had probably 100 people either call/text to tell us that our wedding was the most fun wedding they've been to. All of our friends want to have Corey at their weddings now, and our parents, grandparents, aunt and uncles (some of whom NEVER dance) were on the dance floor all night!! It really was such a fun night and we really owe it to Corey. The day after my wedding when I was absolutely crazed and getting on an international flight for our honeymoon, I still took the time to text Corey just to thank him again. Many of our vendors were paid SO MUCH money and yet I felt they did the bare minimum to keep us moderately happy. Not the case with Corey at all. If you want everyone at your wedding to have fun, Corey is the right guy for you. He even memorized how to correctly say the names (first AND last) of our entire bridal party (19 people) plus parents and grandparents. I first got to see Corey's work as a wedding host/DJ for my best friend's wedding a few years ago. He did such a phenomenal job keeping the dance floor packed all night. I recently had my wedding reception this past weekend and there was no way I was going to go with any other DJ besides for Corey. At our party he did such a great job mixing Portuguese, Arabic, and English music to satisfy everyone at the party. I knew he would get the job done but he far exceeded my expectations. Once again he kept the dance floor hopping all night. He got my Portuguese family to dance to Arabic music and my wife's Middle Eastern family to dance to Portuguese music. I also received a lot of high praise from guests of his great mixing and selection of music. Corey's as cool as the other side of the pillow. He went above an beyond to make our day amazing! His up lighting was perfect! He had everyone dancing the second the party started! We created a list of must plays an must not play to ensure we would be hearing just what we wanted. He made sure to play every song on the must play list! He checked in with us during the night to make sure we were happy. He even went as far as to tell me he was "trying so hard for us!" In my opinion, the entertainment and music for a wedding is the most important part. It sets the tone for your guests and leaves them with lasting impressions of your big day. For me, the DJ had to be the best of the best! Corey Young exceeded my (high) expectations in every way possible, and days after my wedding as I write this, I am still blown away by his expertise. Corey was the best DJ for our wedding, and all of our guests are still raving about the music nearly 1 month after our wedding! He was extremely professional and flexible, and really payed attention to the guests in order to read the crowd and keep the party going.
