I suggest thinking twice before booking Ovation Events. My husband and I booked them for our wedding, as they were a preferred vendor of our venue. We booked the Open Air Photo Boo...
th for 4 hours. After we sent the balance two and a half weeks before the wedding, Ronnie asked us to select a backdrop and a logo, which we did. One week before the wedding a woman called me asking, again, to select a backdrop and a logo. I confirmed our selections. The day of the wedding there was an issue with the backdrop stand. Ronnie stated that the backdrop did not fit the stand they brought to the venue and had a completely different backdrop Uber’d to the venue. However, all of this took time that cut into our reception. I understand that things happen and don’t always go exactly according to plan, however, this resulted in there being no backdrop for an hour and half of the four hours we paid for. As the attendant was trying to resolve this issue and it was not apparent that the photobooth was ready to operate, guests did not use the photobooth during that hour and a half. I emailed Ronnie explaining the situation and requested a partial reimbursement for the time that the stand/photobooth were not set up to operate. However, Ronnie did not respond to my email. I called him a few days later and he stated that this did not warrant a reimbursement. He was not apologetic, was dismissive of my concerns, not interested in resolving the matter, and continuously insisted on sending me screenshots of a text exchange between him and the photobooth attendant that night stating that he did not turn guests away from using the photobooth and that pictures could have been taken in front of a regular wall. I responded stating that my point all along has been that if there was no backdrop and the attendant was fiddling with the stand then guests were not likely to come up to take pictures, as it did not appear that the photobooth was set up/ready for guests to take pictures. We also PAID for a package that included a BACKDROP. Ultimately, two and a half hours of what should have been a four hour service were provided because the equipment we paid for was not set up. Ronnie then stopped responding to my texts regarding this matter. Additionally, the attendant was disorganized, allowing photos to collect on the floor for an extended period of time, not really engaging with guests, and he did not offer anyone the black and white option we paid for. He just automatically selected the same settings for everyone. We received a scrapbook at the end of the night, which contained just a few of the many pictures taken in the two and a half hours. I would NEVER book this vendor again. This company is extremely unprofessional and unjust with poor customer service.

I don’t believe my guests were either. The props were just a variety of hats, which I thought was a little light. We paid extra for a memory book which should include a copy of every picture taken. We don’t know how this will turn out since we haven’t received it yet but each person was suppose to be given the option to sign the picture. The people in the pictures with me were never told about this. I don’t know how many people she actually told. These are big things since we paid extra for them. And worst of all was the attitude of the person working the photo booth. She was impatient and snarky. This is a happy occasion. People are drinking and having a good time. As the hostess, it really annoyed me to see her curt with my guests. Stear clear of Ovation.

At our Wedding we had booked the Flipbook Photo Booth, 5 Ft Love Letters and the 5 Ft Mr and Mrs. Our guests took numerous photos with the Love Letters. The Mr and Mrs were placed behind our Dias. Our photographer gave us a one on one personal photo shoot with the Letters.
The Flipbooks were a hit. Ovations package gave us a 4x6 photo as an add on to the Flipbook package. They were so easy to work with. Everything promised was delivered. No problems at all. We will be seeing them soon at my cousins wedding.

ugh a few guests were not told that they were not taking a picture and that they were recording a six-second video, so some flip books showed them standing still and then making some sort of late motion at the end. I would say it took about 15-20 minutes for guests to receive an assembled flip book. We also had an iPad uploading station stated in the contract, but we did not notice it was missing until the reception was over. However, it was not a deal-breaker for us, as the owner Ronnie e-mailed us the flip book videos after the event and I got to e-mail my guests their digital videos. Tee was very easy to work with to make the covers for the flip books - she was flexible and tried out different colors to get a desired look. I would use Ovation again in the future! rgetting the poles for the backdrop at our wedding. Then we had two female attendants who were rude to our guests and gave NO direction. They were just hitting the button without telling people where to stand and/or allowing them to finish putting on their props. We paid for the slow-motion video booth and they did not allow all guests to record one or even explain to guests that thats what they were recording. This made for "not great" photos or videos which is EXTREMELY disappointing. After my wedding I had several guests call me letting me how rude they were treated- one of my guests even had her hand smacked by the attendant because she grabbed the wrong printout... who does that? Two of my guests took it upon themselves to contact the owner and they didnt even receive a call back. I personally spoke with the owner and he was only concerned with me not leaving them a bad review which is sad because I really was only looking for an apology and explanation. I spent two years saving and planning for my wedding day and was excited to have a different take on my photobooth- its too bad I do not have one nice thing to say about the service we received.

In general most of the Ovation employees were friendly but not at all helpful when the technology did not work as intended at our celebration. However, the major problem we had with Ovation was with the owner. The owner of this company (Ronnie) is a total jerk and a complete horror to deal with, particularly if there are problems with the rental services they provide (as was the case with our situation). I would be VERY weary of paying upfront for their services, as your only recourse should they not perform is a legal one. We would highly NOT RECOMMEND using this vendor.
