Overton Hotel & Conference Center

We decided to stay at the Overton on our wedding night and I booked it at least 6 months in advance. We had never stayed at the Overton before. While the employees were kind and helpful, we had several issues and when I spoke with the manager about the issues, there was no effort to make it right. Firstly, I ordered champagne and strawberries to be delivered to the room at 10pm (because my wife and I would be arriving around 10:30pm), so they would be there when we arrived. Not only did they try to deliver them at 10 AM, but when told the correct time again, they delivered them late, AFTER we arrived and closer to 11pm. We decided to order room service and ordered two BLT sandwiches. It took nearly an hour to show up and when they did they were cold. We also called several times for additional pillows but they never came. Lastly, when I booked the room, (months in advance) I asked for a room on the highest floor possible but they tried putting us on the 4th floor. This was corrected when I addressed it upon check in, but really??? While the room was nice, and the people were nice, I feel like when you have guests staying for such a special occasion, you should really try to go above and beyond and they just did not do that. I spoke with a manager prior to check out and aside from an apology there was no effort to make anything right. I just feel the Overton is overrated for what it is and for the money we spent for 2 nights, I dont know if we'd ever stay there again.
