A special shoutout to Marina for making me feel like a queen! She made sure everything was perfect for us, even knowing I wanted a second round of soup (I didn’t even have to ask)! Speaking of the soup, the pea soup is the most delicious! My friend who runs the Instagram account @soupfamous said “It was seriously the best soup ever!” AND my husband’s uncle who is a private chef loved it so much he is already trying to recreate it! Overall, a 10/10! I would recommend Ovy Pop to anyone! They provided the best wedding experience we could have ever imagined. Ovy and team, cheers to being your 700th wedding! :)

ing on Wedding Wire, we were extremely impressed with the five-star after five-star review and needed to learn more. Ati- the business side of the company, immediately reached out to schedule our call and we connected instantly and knew we found something really special. We moved forward and went to the tasting- and were all completely blown away. The food was the best wedding food- and honestly some of the best food I have had in a while. Ovy is extremely talented and him and Ati really know how to get the job done. At the wedding, which we hosted at The Fairlie, the food tasted exactly as we had during the tasting. Their team was amazing from the servers to the bartenders, and throughout the planning process Ati was reaching out through every step of the process to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything. Ovy Catering and The Farilie, who have worked together in the past, absolutely killed it together and the process was smoother than anything myself and planner has ever seen. I can’t even describe the feedback we got from guests who were completely blown away from the food- the best wedding food they have ever had. Some standouts were the caesar salad and the short rib- absolutely incredible. Ovy and Ati are a dream team and we cannot recommend them enough.

t in northwest Chicago. Ati is a consummate professional and people person. He was always available over phone call or WhatsApp, and he made fast friends with the rest of our vendors. Do yourself a huge favor and book a tasting with Ovy. We knew we were going with Ovy sometime between the first course and the first course. We were really impressed with the breadth and quality of options that they offered us. The hardest part of catering selection for us was the small fight that broke out over what appetizers made our list. In an almost comical testament to the quality of Ovy’s food and Ati’s service, the tasting after ours was a former server of Ovy’s who had booked Ovy for her own wedding. We gave Ovy the challenge of managing a 150 person family-style wedding at a venue with no kitchen. This did not even phase Ovy’s team of experienced caterers and bartenders. They offered plated options for guests with food restrictions, and the vegetarians at our wedding told us that Ovy’s curry was the best vegetarian dish they had ever been served at a wedding. Rave reviews came in on the food for weeks after the wedding from our guests across age groups. Thank you Ovy for cooking up a storm and thank you Ati for helping us navigate the complexities of wedding planning!

ed our wedding tasting at their tasting room / kitchen (which feels like you're having dinner at someone's beautiful home) and we honestly had trouble choosing the options we would end up serving at our wedding because they were all so delicious. We'd been to enough weddings with "eh" food, so we knew we wanted our food to impress our guests and boy did Chef Ovy and his team deliver! We had countless guests come up to us during and after the wedding to let us know how amazing the food was. Additionally, Chef Ovy and the catering team on-site were instrumental in helping flip our space from a ceremony site to a full-blown wedding dinner reception. I DIYd most of our wedding decor, which meant extra staff needed for proper set-up, and the team didn't hesitate to help our coordinators get everything to where it needed to go, while also providing excellent service to us and our guests. This is a boutique catering company that clearly cares about its clients and the events they are working. Definitely check them out if you are in need of a wedding caterer! the first tasting. We chose the butternut squash soup and roasted beet salad for the first course, and the roasted chicken, hanger steak, and Thai vegetable curry (my personal favorite) for entrees. We also had Ovy & team make us a cheesecake for the cake cutting, which was beautiful and delicious. We heard from many of our guests that ours was the best wedding food they've ever had, and we agree! We had a large wedding with nearly 250 guests and the food was consistent and high quality. Our tables were decorated beautifully, and all of our tables were served food promptly. One of the servers even boxed up the remaining cheesecake at the end of the night, which I had nearly forgotten! Overall, I cannot recommend Ovy & team enough.

and I are in love with food and felt passionately that our at our wedding had to be perfect. We did a few other tastings with other caterers and were never that impressed. However, from the second we did our tasting with Ovy and Ati, we knew they were different. Ati and Ovy let us bring our family members to the tasting because they respected that we cherished our family members’ input greatly. We spent three plus hours at the tasting, not just eating delicious food, but talking about countless topics. The food was delicious, beautiful, unique, but what solidified our decision to hire Ovy and Ati was their passion for cooking, serving, and getting to know their couples. On our wedding day, the food was just as we had tasted on our tasting. The vegetable curry was insanely flavorful, the cauliflower chicken was juicy and tasty, and the lamb osso bucco was phenomenal. We also had soup and salad! So much food! Numerous guests told us this was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. Goal achieved! :) After our tasting months ago, I was confident that our wedding food would be great. However, what I did not expect was for the staff to BOND with our wedding guests. Our guests came up to my husband and I RAVING about how much fun they were having together and with the bartenders. Who has ever gone to a wedding and bonded with the bartenders?! Ovy and Ati’s staff are so exceptional that they danced, talked, and truly got to know our wedding guests. I could go on and on about how happy I am to have hired Ovy and Ati and their team for our wedding day. They helped us create our dream day of good food, crazy fun, and life long memories. Catering was the thing I was most nervous about booking from abroad, but we really lucked out with Ovy & crew. We can't recommend them highly enough.

My husband is Nigerian, so they even presented a dish incorporating the green in the Nigerian flag. Such attention to detail! We were so worried that we would have such an excellent tasting with fantastic food and wouldn’t get the same level of service on the wedding day. Boy, were we wrong! Everything was exactly like the tasting. Even after I decided to go vegan, Ati quickly came up with fantastic dish recommendations to accommodate my diet change! Every single one of our guests raved about the food. Unfortunately, some of our guests didn’t show up, and their plates were eaten! People were begging to split the extra plates! The waitstaff was kind and helpful, from bartending to flipping the room. It was like magic. They were supportive, not just with catering but with extra details for the wedding and even minor stressors in our lives during that time. Ati would call me, asking me how we were doing and what he could help with. Our photographer canceled on us just two days before the wedding, and they gave us recommendations! Catering is one of the most significant expenses for a wedding, and picking one can be highly stressful. So I’m here to tell you to look no further! ing menu possible. Every other caterer we contacted (which was A LOT in the initial stage) offered very generic, impersonal menus and took a lot longer to reply. After speaking to Ati and receiving his quote, we decided to hold off all other caterers until we’d tried Ovy’s tasting menu because their level of service was already head and shoulders above the rest. Eight months before the wedding, Ati and Ovy hosted our tasting for us and some friends and we were blown away! They’d even recreated some of my childhood favorites from England! The food was all top restaurant quality, which is saying a lot in Chicago! In the lead up to the wedding, Ati checked in on us periodically to see if we needed help or advice with anything. On the wedding day, the entire staff could not have been more wonderful and attentive - even down to running out to get the Bride an espresso martini at the end of the night! We told ourselves that the food would not be quite as excellent as the tasting because they were cooking for 130 people. However, it was phenomenal and all of our guests made a point to tell us how great it was and how they kept going up for more! We cannot recommend Ovy Catering highly enough. Book them - we were very happy with every one of our vendors but Ovy catering was still the best decision we made!

o nowhere near what I think it should probably be for the experience and product that they provide. They are not trying to nickel and dime you, and they truly enjoy being a part of people's weddings. The hardest part for us was deciding which options to go with because they were all so delicious. Outside of the restaurant quality appetizers, entrees and desserts, Ovy and Ati were SUPER helpful and always available to answer a question or give a recommendation. When our original venue cancelled on us 6 weeks before the wedding (yes, that actually happened), Ati couldn't wait for people to respond to emails or answer the phone. He literally got in his car on a Saturday morning and drove to venues around the city that he knew, and found us one that was somehow still available. Ovy, Ati and their entire staff made our wedding day perfect and if there were any hiccups, we don't know about them. I would 10/10 recommend Ovy's Catering for anyone having a wedding or party that they need catered. I know we'll be using them again!
