We had our wedding reception at Owl Creek Country Club and it turned out amazingly well. The venue was the perfect amount of space for the 90 guests at the reception. We booked all three rooms (The Bar, Ballroom, and Sunroom). The space was decorated beautifully (newly renovated), the service was top notch, and the food was great. We received high praise from guests who ate the short rib!
Mackenzie was amazing to work alongside and answered any and all questions promptly! We definitely recommend hosting your reception or party at Owl Creek Country Club!

A year ago, I was newly engaged and beginning the exciting, overwhelming process of planning our wedding. I had no idea where we would celebrate the beginning of our marriage. I knew I had found our ceremony location in the iconic, stunning, and quaint Duncan Memorial Chapel, but I struggled to imagine how we could follow such a special place with just any reception venue.
Enter Owl Creek.
We were naturally drawn to explore Owl Creek because of its location, but it was the quiet beauty of Anchorage, the stunning landscape, and the welcoming atmosphere that made us fall in love. And we truly fell in love with everything about Owl Creek—not just the beautiful venue and incredible food, but, most importantly, the people.
Katre, Todd, Jeff, and Mackenzie made what could have been a transactional wedding-planning experience feel personal, meaningful, and genuinely special. Over the course of our time at Owl Creek, they became so much more than the people helping us plan our wedding. They became friends. Their kindness, care, and attention to detail made us feel like we were celebrating with people who truly cared about us and the memories we were creating.
We loved Owl Creek so much that we couldn’t stop talking about it. In fact, both my father and my husband’s father decided to become members after hearing us rave about the location, the food, and the people. That says everything about the kind of place Owl Creek is: somewhere you want to return to, long after the wedding is over.
On our wedding day, I never felt like we were hosting an event at a venue. I felt like we had invited our closest family and friends into a place that was already home to us, where everyone could gather around a beautiful table, share an incredible meal, laugh, celebrate, and make memories together. It felt like a home-cooked family dinner in the most beautiful setting imaginable. No strangers, no surprises—just wonderful people, exceptional food, and the people we love most in the world.
Owl Creek gave us more than a beautiful reception. It gave us the perfect setting and the warmest atmosphere to begin this next chapter of our lives together. The experience was everything we hoped for and so much more.

Owl Creek Country Club, located in Louisville, KY, is an idyllic event space that invites couples to celebrate their weddings in its splendor. Imagine your special day in a private country club, where you can say "I do," with pastoral views of perfectly manicured golf courses serving as the perfect backdrop for your occasion.
Owl Creek features emerald fields surrounded by a thick forested area that allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life for a day. Inside the country club, you'll discover four distinct spaces to choose from: a sunroom, a ballroom, an adult grille, and a family grille. Each of these rooms can accommodate 64 to 112 guests for a seated dinner or 100 to 150 for a hors d'oeuvres party. If you wish to rent multiple rooms at once, the clubhouse can accommodate up to 300 of your loved ones. The team highly recommends their elegant ballroom for wedding festivities. It boasts a hardwood floor, a rustic stone fireplace, and a cathedral ceiling, creating a beautiful space where you can mingle with your loved ones and dance the night away.

Mackenzie has been the event coordinator since June of 2023. Prior to becoming the event coordinator she taught 5th grade for eleven years.Having been in the classroom for many years she has learned the importance of planning, organization and prides herself on attention to detail. However she is no stranger to Owl Creek. She began waiting tables and assisting with parties and events at OCCC when she graduated college in 2010. Since then she has helped plan and worked over 300 parties/events. She leads the staff at Owl Creek to ensure every wedding and event is uniquely perfect for all.
