What started off as wedding venue hunting turned into a perfect intimate engagement proposal at the Owls Hoot Barn’s newest Conservatory. After my fiancé had proposed the month before, I knew from my first phone call with Kerri that I had made the right choice in choosing her to help plan my turn to propose. We ended up being the first engagement at the Conservatory and her excitedness and eagerness when I asked if I could arrange a surprise proposal while we were set to tour the venue, made me confident that I was in good hands. After having to quickly take advantage of a last minute opening in my fiancé’s very busy schedule, in a matter of three days Kerri was able to set up a perfect mediterranean-style dinner for two with a champagne toast along with a photographer in the picturesque, window filled Conservatory. Afterwards we were able to spend the night in the nest cabin and had so much fun taking in the views from the hot tub.
Although our very large Long Island wedding guest list didn’t end up being logistical to host at the property, I am very grateful to have incorporated and made a lasting memory at the Owls Hoot Barn. I know we will definitely be back to visit.
Owl's Hoot Barn checked all of our boxes for our wedding. We were able to host our immediate families on the property for a whole 4 nights, have an intimate ceremony and 100 person reception. The property and airbnbs are beyond beautiful.
The only downsides are the frustrations prior to the wedding and if we had not been out of season and a Monday wedding we would not have been able to afford it. The pricing structure and organization of the venue is extremely confusing, very hard to budget for and frustrating at times. We work in the event/wedding industry and still had a very difficult time keeping things straight.

Owls Hoot Barn is a special venue and truly exceeded our expectations.
We knew within the first few minutes of arriving at Owls Hoot that this would be where we wanted to host our wedding; the more we walked around the property, the more excited we became about that possibility. We ended up grabbing the very last weekend available for the following Fall, confirming it within a few minutes of leaving the venue as we were completely certain on our choice.
We developed a friendship with Kerri, who took a special interest in helping us tailor our ideal wedding and was available to us before, during, and after our wedding; and we can’t emphasize enough how important having that relationship has been to us. Kerri is a wonderful and caring person, and she cares deeply about the experience she helps create for her guests.
We have made several weekend trips up to Owls Hoot, twice prior to our wedding, with the excuse of doing some early planning, but primarily to relax and immerse ourselves in the beautiful property before the big day. We also made a return trip, post-wedding, just after our first wedding anniversary, a great way to celebrate our special day and a tradition we intend to continue as best we can. Also, each time we visit, Kerri surprises us with new additions or work being done on the property, a real plus for both new and returning guests.
We’re so happy we found this place and we can’t imagine a better venue than Owls Hoot for a rustic barn wedding. Our whole experience was truly special and we look forward to our return trips in the years ahead.
Owls Hoot Barn was the perfect location for us to have our dream wedding weekend, and to say it was the best weekend of our lives would be an understatement!! Kerri, who not only owns the barn but did our full weekend wedding planning, was the absolute best to work with! She kept us on track with planning, connected us with vendors that fit our vision and our budget (which saved us thousands of dollars and hours of research), and was the biggest reason our entire weekend was perfect from start to finish.
The venue itself is a dream, the grounds are simply stunning, the patio is the perfect place for cocktail hour, and the barn itself is so cool and unique- and all of these different locations allow for a lot of flexibility with your event. We hosted our welcome party in the welcome barn and the back patio on Friday night, complete with wood fired pizzas and Kerri’s camper to serve beer and wine out of. Our guests gushed all night about the beauty of the venue and the grounds.
Our wedding took place on Saturday, and we would not have changed a thing about it, even though the weather chose not to cooperate for our ceremony! Our initial vision was to have an outdoor ceremony, which Kerri and her entire team had set up. Their flexibility is unparalleled as 30 minutes before the ceremony it began to rain heavily; Kerri and co were able to move the ceremony to the patio and it was absolutely perfect, picturesque (see pictures below!) and still ran on time thanks to the endless hard work of the team. One of our other favorite features of the barn is the many rental houses directly on the property. This allowed our wedding party and close friends to be steps away from us at all times. The houses themselves are beautifully and eclectically decorated, making them a dream for getting ready photographs and for taking post-ceremony portraits (also, see below!). Our other favorite feature is the shed full of wedding décor that we utilized for all of our events. We were able to create our seating chart from a huge windowpane in the shed, pulled candles, vases, table numbers, and books for our centerpieces—which was a big money saver and also very sustainable!
We also hosted our farewell brunch on the back patio on Sunday morning, and again our guests had so many compliments for the space and the event. Kerri worked tirelessly the entire weekend to make sure every detail was perfect, and we could not be more appreciative. Overall, if you are looking for a unique venue with beautiful landscapes where you can host a full-weekend getaway, houses to host your friends and family onsite, have multiple hotel options within a five minute drive, and a space where you will not only get the most beautiful photos that you will cherish forever, but also a space where you will have the time of your life, please look no further than Owls Hoot Barn.
Our wedding at Owls Hoot was a dream.
Having our entire family around with us on the property from Thursday through Sunday made it that much more special.
We got to set up and put in so many personal touches that our family and guests loved.
Kerri and I were in touch throughout every detail (she must have answered a hundred messages from me as I had questions throughout the entire planning process.)
Despite the rain and mud on our big day, the property was so beautiful that our guests didn’t even mind. There was so much space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the different views.
We had brunch the next morning under the pavilion where we got to say goodbye to all our friends and family. Such a unique experience and we’re so grateful. We wish we could do it again. 😂
11/10 would recommend.
Owl's Hoot Barn made my 160 person wedding feel cozy and intimate. Kerri and her team were transparent and helpful from the moment I first reached out, and were helpful at every turn leading up to the big day. It was so special to have a location where everything could happen all weekend long--the beautiful backdrop was a favorite of many guests! So many people came to ask me how I'd discovered it! It really was a dream weekend.
The first time we visited Owls Hoot, my husband and I knew it was exactly what we wanted for our wedding—a beautiful location in the wild beauty of upstate New York, space for our family to stay on the property, and the freedom to make it feel like us. The owner of Owls Hoot, Kerri, discovered the barn and made it the incredible spot it is today—she is a true font of ideas & suggestions to make your day as unique and special as possible. (Kerri even went out of her way to mail one of my bridesmaids her robe that she left behind after our wedding.) We loved that there was a rain plan for the ceremony (such a relief to have that as you’re planning) and we had our pick of several lush spots for the ceremony. We got married in August (it was a very hot day!) and we ended up choosing a shaded spot under a 300+ year old willow tree for our ceremony. It was truly one of the most magical days of our lives and we’re so grateful to Kerri and her team for helping us create the wedding of our dreams at Owls Hoot.
The BEST decision we made for our wedding was choosing to get married at Owls Hoot Barn. I don't even know where to begin – the venue itself is GORGEOUS and Kerri and her team worked so hard to make our (slightly chilly) outdoor rehearsal dinner and ceremony comfortable and beautiful for our guests (they were even moving tables and food around during cocktail hour to make sure guests to access all the amazing appetizers we have!). Having our wedding party and family stay on-site was such an incredible experience (Kerri's Airbnb houses are beautiful!) and we loved doing a post-wedding bonfire. Molly of Graceful Occasions was the best planner and day-of coordinator, making our lives easy day-of, coordinating vendors, and just being so all around helpful, flexible, and enthusiastic. We cannot recommend Owls Hoot enough – it is a truly special and memorable spot!
Owls Hoot Barn was the first and only wedding venue my husband and I checked out because we immediately fell in love. We had our hearts set on a rustic fall wedding and what better backdrop could we ask for than the rich fall foliage and romantic barn on Kerri’s property? Kerri has so much knowledge of the surrounding area and an extensive vendor list, which was so helpful while planning. The property was perfect for us because we wanted somewhere we could have both our ceremony and our reception to limit travel and maximize time enjoying the day. Even better still that the venue has Air BnB’s on-site and nearby, which we rented out so that we could spend the days leading up to our wedding building our excitement for our big day while setting up with the venue’s many decorations and enjoying quality time with our families. There were so many options for our ceremony location, both outdoors and indoors, as the entire property is so beautiful and unique. You literally cannot take a bad picture there. Kerri was so flexible and responsive when we changed our minds last minute about our ceremony spot. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the property and barn were. Kerri was so kind, helpful, and personable that it felt more like working with a friend than a venue owner, which made the experience much more relaxed. Owls Hoot Barn is the absolute perfect place for your dream barn wedding and we could not recommend it more!
Look NO further. OHB was the most magical, wonderful, amazing, accommodating, perfect venue for our wedding. Some highlights: Multiple beautiful outdoor ceremony locations to choose from, covered patio for cocktail hour (doubles as rain location for ceremony, if need be), gorgeous barn interior for dinner and dancing (all lighting included and already set up), nooks and crannies all over the place for guests to explore, dreamy decor everywhere you turn your head (saves you a TON on having to curate your own vintage barn feel, as this is literally what OHB is). Great local list of vendor recommendations. Late-night bonfire is included, which was an extra perk.
One of the best parts of OHB is the access you have to the grounds prior to your big day. Many venues allow you to come in the day before your wedding. OHB gives you the property starting on the Wednesday afternoon before your big weekend. Why would you want to be there so early, you might ask? Because there are no less than five properties that you can rent for your family and best friends to stay. Who wants a wedding day when you can have a wedding week?! We had houses for the bride's family, groom's family, wedding party, as well as some extra spaces for guests to rent. This meant we started the party a few days early and got to spend meaningful time with those closest to us. We held our rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch on the property and would not have done a single thing differently. Our families loved the ease of being on site, and it made setting up a whole lot easier (and more fun!) when you could just roll out of bed and over to the barn.
Speaking of setting up, the property has a 'decor barn' filled with items they've collected and those that have been left behind. And you have access to everything. There are jars & vases galore, signage, suitcases, books, table numbers, photo frames-- the list goes on. You could decorate your entire day with things that are already on site and included in the venue's cost.
Kerri (owner) and Molly (our coordinator) were very responsive and were responsible for the perfection of the day. They put so much attention into making sure we had the weekend of our lives, and I trusted them completely. They were a perfect balance of guidance while allowing us to make all the tweaks we wanted. Our photographer/videographer loved the details scattered around the property. Our photos are dynamite thanks not only to their incredible talent, but to the vibe and offerings of OHB.
There are a couple of nearby hotels, and the venue is only 30 min from Albany airport (and more hotels). We had a shuttle that made stops at a few spots and got everyone to the ceremony and then took them home at the end of the night.
I grew up in the Hudson Valley and now live in California, and can't imagine having planned a wedding from 3000 miles away anywhere else. The ease of this place is worth it. So much is included with this venue. You could just show up with your guests and have the most amazing weekend.
Thank you!!! Can't wait to spend a future anniversary at the property <3
This was such a beautiful and perfect venue for our wedding. It has the exact rustic vibe we wanted. The location is perfect if you’re coming from the city; it’s far enough away, but still easy to get to. The barn and grounds are beautiful for photo-taking. Kerri was wonderful and so accommodating to every step of the way. I highly recommend this venue!
This venue was EVERYTHING!!! The vast grounds still managed to feel intimate and they were so helpful in changing things last minute as the weather took an unusual turn!!! We highly recommend Owls Hoot Barn as well as their lodging; the houses helped to keep the wedding party nearby.
My fiance and I were excited to have our wedding at Owl's Hoot Barn. We had paid about half of the total cost of the venue and had all of our vendors chosen and most of them paid before Covid struck. Kerri was not flexible at all and would not provide a refund despite the historic situation and the fact that large gatherings were not allowed. All of our other vendors, on the other hand, were understanding and provided refunds. My fiance and I highly suggest you avoid working with Kerri during Covid. If anything changes with the situation with the virus and you are no longer able to hold the wedding or are fearful for the health of your family and guests you will not get your money back.
If you’re looking for the most original, adorable, barn/farm chic getaway wedding venue.. look no further! You must select this venue. Absolutely beautiful grounds tucked away about 30 min south of Albany. My husband and I choose this venue to get married at because of the stunning property and convenient, comfortable, and cute air BnB homes Kerri has as well on the same street! We rented two large farm houses for the family and wedding party our wedding weekend. It couldn’t have been more perfect staying on the property! Kerri is punctual, professional, and so very helpful! We could not have pulled off our wedding weekend without her. She is masterfully organized as well as creative, sweet, and knowledgeable. She is the Owner of the property and made managing our wedding day so successful!
Her wedding venue is also great for ones on a budget, like myself. Kerri allows for a DIY palate, even encouraging us to use props and decorations already on her site, as well as even wild flowers that grew on her property! Her plethora of decorations, furniture, and lights made for such a cost-effective budget being that we didn’t need to buy much to make the venue look beautiful!
All in all we highly recommend Owls Hoot Barn. You will not regret!! Kerri is perfect.
If you are looking for a unique and magical venue, OHB is the place! Kerri, the owner, keeps the ground in impeccable shape, the barn is stunning, and it comes with a covered pavilion area for the cocktail hour. Another plus are the accommodations on-site! Kerri owns some of the houses next to the barn and completely renovated the homes to make them the perfect place to stay. We rented all the houses on the property and had our family and our bridal party stay on-site - it was just so perfect! Kerri is amazing to work with and will ensure your day is spectacular and memorable. She sends out a list of vendors in the area and helps make the stressful task of wedding planning so much easier. Our wedding was the best day ever. We would chose this venue and working with Kerri 1,000 times over. Thank you Kerri and OHB for making the wedding of our dreams comes to life!!!
From the moment we set foot on Owls Hoot Barn, we were blown away by the attention to detail and beauty of the space. Kerri, the owner, has thought of absolutely everything and every inch of the venue is carefully and thoughtfully decorated. The barn is stunningly gorgeous and though it feels and looks rustic, it’s perfectly outfitted for a wedding dinner and party. The various outdoor ceremony spaces are gorgeous and are surrounded by wildflowers and trees. The covered cocktail hour area is the perfect space for passed apps and drinks outside (and it’s an excellent back up area for the ceremony should it rain) and the bonfire that OHB takes care of was an amazing end to our wedding. Best of all, there is a lovely cabin we had access to starting on the Wednesday before our wedding and our whole family and bridal party was able to stay in the gorgeous farmhouse and the two Airbnb’s that are part of the property starting on the Thursday before. Because of this, we were able to kick off of our wedding days in advance with our loved ones.
Kerri helps to make planning seamless. She has a dedicated list of vendors she recommends, but is welcoming to anyone new you bring on. She’s ALWAYS available if you have questions and is endlessly helpful and friendly. She has a storage area filled with decor (mason jars, burlap runners, milk crates, lights, lanterns, signage, etc) that you are welcome to use. It saved us hundreds of dollars and everything we borrowed looked fabulous. She also has all of the chairs, tables, plates, cutlery, glasses, napkins, etc. you’ll need so you don’t have to outsource anything except a caterer, photographer, and DJ. If you are the type of bride (like me) who did not want to pick out napkins but still enjoys a little DIY set up, this is a great space for you.
This is really a special place and I feel so lucky that I got married at OHB. I am eternally grateful to Kerri for helping to make our day so magical. I can honestly say I wouldn’t change a thing.
We could not have imagined a better setting for our wedding weekend. Not only is Owls Hoot gorgeous, but the rental houses nearby for the wedding party made this feel like home for our big day. Owls Hoot owner, Kerri, is a fantastic planner who makes sure everything is covered and we didn’t have to worry or stress once during our wedding! Kerri has cultivated an amazing community of vendors who made this truly the best experience, and we could not say enough kind things. Thank you, Kerri!
This venue is GORGEOUS. I cannot say enough great things about it. We had a 120 person wedding and there was the perfect amount of space for our guests. There are a lot of different places around the property to have your ceremony at (secret garden, over a bridge, under the pergola, by the bonfire)... yes, there's a bonfire! We had our ceremony over the bridge, cocktail hour under the pergola, and the reception inside the barn. We closed the night out with a bonfire and smores.
It's also a huge plus that there is housing on-site for all of the family and wedding party to rent and stay in. I also cannot say enough good things about Kerri who owns/runs the property. You MUST hire her as your day-of wedding planner when you book this venue. She makes everything so seamless and is a huge help for months leading up to the event.
If you're looking for an Upstate NY barn wedding, look no further.
(May 18th Wedding): There are truly not enough words to describe how incredible our wedding experience was at Owls Hoot Barn. This venue is honestly the most special, intimate, and unique place we could've ever imagined. Firstly, what drew us in and really sets this venue apart right off the bat from other barn venues is the fact that you get the opportunity to stay right on the property from Wednesday-Sunday of your wedding weekend. This was huge for us, as it really turned into a full weekend experience that we got to really enjoy (versus feeling like 1 day that was over in the blink of an eye). This gave us time in the days leading up to really decide on how we wanted to utilize and decorate the spaces, etc. which made the day-of so much smoother and more relaxed. The possibilites are endless here, and you have access to TONS of decor and furniture items. There are multiple other gorgeous homes in addition to the bridal cabin ("Owls Nest"), that I recommend having family/bridal parties stay in. It was a lot of fun having our family all right there with us, and not worrying about transportation, not to mention the accomodations are so dreamy and comfortable. You really have so many options on the property to really make your wedding unique and your own. We lucked out with amazing weather, but should it rain, the pavilion/backup rain plan is still gorgeous, and no need to worry about renting any tents or anything! I don't even know where to start with the venue owner, Kerri. SHE IS A GEM. Honestly, she is a true force. She is SO friendly, organized, and helpful if all of your planning needs. She also goes above and beyond not only with recommendations for vendors, but in following up and working closely with them to get things done. Kerri is very detail-oriented, and will make sure no stone is left unturned. I knew I'd have a great wedding day, but I really had no clue just how absolutely perfect and beyond my expectations everything would turn out. Our guests absolutely RAVED about how much they loved the property and the barn, and are even still talking about it weeks later. What an experience of a lifetime. Endless amounts of gratitude from the Joyces to Kerri and the entire Owls Hoot team! All of you made this the best wedding we could've ever dreamt of. THANK YOU!
Owls Hoot Barn or OHB is a picture perfect barn wedding venue. The property is absolutely stunning and Kerri the venue owner is a joy to work with. While a bit more DIY than other traditional venues, it's all worth it. We could not have picked a better venue to have our special day at. Thank you Kerri!
We could not have been happier with our experience at Owls Hoot Barn. From the moment we met with Kerri, we knew that she would take great care of us, and she was one of the main reasons we decided to choose the OHB over another barn venue in the area.
Boy did we make the right decision. Everything was absolutely beautiful, the venue had all the decorations we could ever have wanted for my perfect Pinterest wedding, and the location is to die for. Everyone kept saying how unique and special our venue was, and that they wanted the "Adam and Cara special" for their own wedding.
It wasn't just the beauty of the venue and perfection of the venue, but the experience as a whole. As part of our contract, we were able to come up on the Wednesday before our wedding, and relax before we had to finalize everything on Thursday and Friday. It felt like a mini getaway, and helped with overall stress of planning. Kerri is a master at what she does, and our parents raved at how seamless she made things. We could not have done it without her, and everything went off without a hitch.
I am so sad it is over, but am so glad we chose the Owl's Hoot Barn as our venue.
Where do we begin with our gratitude and thanks to you and your team. We found the venue on the internet searching for a barn, and all it took was one visit and we had fallen in love with the Owls Hoot Barn. We knew the search was over. What you have achieved in your little corner of Coxsackie is nothing short of heavenly, even our guest agreed.
A huge thank you to you Kerri, as we also need to thank Heidi, Jen and Matthew who work tirelessly to make sure that everything was perfect for our special day. Now to accept that it is now a lovely memory, thank you again for allowing us to use your beautiful venue. It's true they say that you need to make the most of the day as it goes by so quickly. Before we knew it everyone had left and the day was over. Thank you again for all the emails and phone calls, that you always answered! We don't think there will ever be words to do justice for all you have done for us. We are not too proud to admit that we all shed a tear driving off the grounds as we left. We are hoping to visit with you again, as we have made new and wonderful friends and we now have a very warm spot in our hearts for all of you!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts with love and appreciation
The Casarella Family ❤️
I literally don't know how I could have ever had the wedding that I had anywhere else or with anyone else. I got the wedding I dreamed I could have afforded but at my price point, all because of Kerri. Kerri is completely transparent with you and won't overcharge you like other venues. She has "ins" with other vendors to get you the very best price, and she'll pick up the phone anytime to chat and give advice.
Kerri wants to find the right kind of bride to match her personality. I feel lucky enough to have been picked by her!
A few of the things that I feel like she has that no one else does:
- A historic property with modern amenities (AC, new toilets)
- Gorgeous rental properties right next to the venue (and a free couples suite when you book the barn for your wedding)
- Free decor: She has curated amazing vintage decor over the years, everything you need to decorate and personalize the space, so don't worry too much about bringing mason jars up with you. She already has them (and way way more).
-The beautiful wood tables and cross back chairs for both reception and cocktail hour were included, which was a big money saver for us. Also who wants to think about spending money on renting reception tables. She also includes vintage furniture and accessory pieces that we were given the option to use at both our ceremony and reception.
We wanted a place that truly felt like our own where we were inviting family and friends to come share our special day and that’s just what we got with Owls Hoot. I got so so so many compliments on wedding and the property (and Kerri too). I can't stress how happy I was with my decision. This is the second best decision I made in this whole process... right after saying yes to marrying my husband. :)
WOW, what an absolutely perfect wedding venue! Kerri has a fabulous thing going here, and would highly recommend any bride and groom to consider this site. Kerri is responsive, knowledgeable, and super helpful. She knows the area well and had a lot of great suggestions for vendors, etc. There is not much in Coxsackie, but it does have everything you will need. I was shocked at how put together the venue was when I showed up a few days before the wedding. I literally did not have to do any decorating of my own (though I did), because it's just that beautiful already. So very happy with our choice, thank you for everything Kerri!
I got married at the Owls Hoot Barn This October and it was amazing from beginning to end. Kerri, the owner, was so helpful every step of the way. She made room blocks for me, sent vendor suggestions, and helped me out when I had any vendor issues or problems. We hired her as our coordinator because she does weddings there every weekend she knows the space more than anyone and was able to keep everyone in line, make the best suggestions, and make sure the flow was seamless.
We also stayed at the house on property and it was beautiful. Very rustic chic. It was a perfect place to take pictures in the morning while getting ready.
This venue is very DIY, we went up on the Thursday before to decorate the entire place.. if you are looking for a catering hall type of place this is not for you. if you are looking to make your wedding unique and show off your style from beginning to end then this is the best venue to do that. We had a bunch of props and decorations but we also took full advantage of the garage of decorations she has available to make my wedding special and unlike any other that has been there before.
Its a lot of work.. but its worth it, people will remember your wedding as it will stand out from every other wedding they have been too.
Loved my wedding at the owls hoot!!
Our wedding at Owls Hoot Barn in West Coxsackie was more amazing than I could have hoped! When we checked out the venue in August 2013, it was still being renovated and had never held a wedding, but I saw the vision that owner Kerri Corrigan had. It looks MARVELOUS! Kerri did a fantastic job renovating every inch of it. It's so rustic, charming, and not overdone. Throughout planning, Kerri kept us up to date on renovations, and promptly answered any questions I had. She was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had the venue from Wednesday till Sunday. I barely needed to use my decorations because the venue is already so pretty and all these lights were hung already. There is a big storage cabin filled with more lights, mason jars, barrels, baskets, lanterns of all shapes and sizes, candles, everything we could need for additional decorations. We had our siblings and some cousins staying with us on site and everyone had the best weekend. Every day we played lawn games and hung out outside. We sat by the bonfire at night. The surrounding area was gorgeous. The wedding went off without a hitch. We were also able to hire a staff person, Amanda, who knew the venue and she handled all the parking, trash, lights, bathroom, cleanup. Kerri was also on hand to make sure things went okay. The venue fee also covered transportation (provided by First Transport, Inc.) which was great for our guests. Great onsite bathrooms included as well. Also lots of nice furniture to use and rent, including beautiful wood farm tables for the reception. We were also able to pick wildflowers. Our private bridal cabin was a great cozy escape from the day of socializing. There were so many lovely places on site to hang out and enjoy time with family and friends. Everyone was comfortable and had a marvelous time. It was everything we dreamed. It felt like home the short time we were there. It was unforgettable! Flowers were from Flower Blossom Farm in Ghent, catering by Hickory BBQ in Kingston.
