On the days prior and the day of as my day of coordinator, she was frequently available to address any and all concerns. I could not recommend her enough and have encouraged all my younger siblings to hire her for their dream wedding day! sed, I’m not stressed. 😂 And honestly… that ended up being so true because I trusted her completely.
From the very beginning, she just made everything feel easy. Not only did she help us with all the logistics, timelines, vendor communication, coordination, etc., but she also absolutely understood the vision. We spent so much time talking through the aesthetic, mood boards, overall vibe, little details, and how we wanted everything to feel visually, and she truly brought it to life better than I could’ve imagined.
She has such a good eye for design and detail, and I trusted her opinions so much throughout the process. Every vendor recommendation she gave us ended up being amazing, and she was always willing to go above and beyond — whether that meant going back to the venue for a second, third, or fourth walkthrough just to re-look at something, helping us navigate contract negotiations, or making sure every little moving piece was handled.
What I loved most about working with her is that she’s so confident, calm, assertive, and on top of everything. You can just tell she knows exactly what she’s doing, and as a bride, that energy makes SUCH a difference because you really get to relax and lean on her.
And then the wedding day itself… truly smoother than I ever could’ve imagined. I was obviously nervous leading up to it because planning weddings is not my profession and I had no idea what to expect day-of, but she handled everything so flawlessly that I genuinely didn’t have to think about a single thing. I literally woke up, took a Pilates class, walked my dog, and casually went into hair and makeup because I knew everything was handled. 😂
The entire day flowed so beautifully, and I never once had to manage timelines, vendors, setup, problems, or logistics because Katelynn already had it covered before it could ever reach me. I got to actually be present, enjoy my husband, enjoy our family and friends, and fully soak in the day instead of stressing behind the scenes.
Truly could not have asked for a better experience or a more perfect person to help bring our dream wedding to life. So beyond grateful we chose her. 🤍

anched off on her own. That led to less communication to us. Our vendors were getting the final timeline and final numbers the day before the wedding, confused the day of and ended coming to the bridal suite to ask questions because they couldn’t find her the day of. Come to find out every time they were looking for her she was back in a room we didn’t rent. Her and I clearly did not click as a pair and unfortunately she allowed that to get in the way of her professionalism which was a bummer. If you’re a bride who knows what she wants in sure she’s good but if you don’t know what details you want/need then I would spend the money on an experienced coordinator.

Before the wedding, she came up with a timeline to make sure we had a good schedule for the day, and was able to make quick changes when we wanted to move a couple things around on the day of our wedding. She ran a very efficient rehearsal and everyone knew exactly where they had to be and what they had to do during our ceremony. The day of the wedding she was incredibly helpful and made our day stress-free by handling communication with many of our vendors. I didn't have a traditional bridal party and Katelynn took care of all of my needs, even helping bustle up my dress before the reception. She also helped us fill out our marriage license and made sure we were filling everything out correctly. Katelynn was there for us throughout our big day, and I would definitely recommend her to help plan any type of event!

ces. I appreciated that a lot. We went over options and we came to the conclusion that partial planning was the best choice for us.
I am a naturally anxious person and Katelynn was able to calm my mind by telling me how much time we have for booking vendors and what next steps are. Throughout the process, Katelynn was always available. I had a vision and she brought it to life and it was better than I could have imagined.
The day of the wedding, all I had to do was show up and everything was all prepared when we arrived! She had two associates with her for the day and everything turned out unbelievably amazing! My husband and I were able to enjoy our entire night.
One special thing I want to make note of is that leading up to our wedding, we had a little hiccup and Katelynn handled it with so much compassion and privacy. She checked on us throughout the process and it made the biggest difference in our day.

Katelynn is super knowledgeable in everything, and was happy to answer all the questions/emails we had! We were an out-of-state couple, and Katelynn was happy to accommodate us by moving up our walk through and meeting with us via phone/zoom. She ran the most organized and efficient rehearsal. She helped make sure our vision became reality and did an excellent job of managing our friends and family. She made sure we had drinks and hors d'oeuvres after the ceremony. She helped bustle my dress before the reception. Katelynn also made sure all of our belongings were returned to us at the end of the night! She truly thought of every little detail and made sure to touch base about everything leading up to the wedding and on the night of! Katelynn was thorough and extremely detailed. Our reception was at Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar, and she worked seamlessly with the venue, our cake vendor, our photographer, and our DJ. We would not have had the stress-free, well-organized, reception of our dreams without Katelynn's help!

dding I was able to communicate with her and loop her in with all the vendors. She created a timeline for me and helped make sure I had all my ducks in a row.
She was there to help sooth my nerves when there was a potential major issue with the venue (5ft of snow covering the ceremony site that they told me 5 days before the wedding they may not be able to clear!).
If anything went wrong the day of, I certainly didn't know. Everything went smoothly from my perception, which is why you want someone like Katelynn by your side on such a big day, right?
She and her assistant Courtney also did an excellent job of making sure everything was set up beautifully, and they killed it when packing up all my decor after the reception. We did all our own centerpieces, which were valuable collectibles, and I was so nervous about something getting broken during packing/transport, but they did such an awesome job packing, everything made it home safely.
Hiring Own The Day was worth every penny. My wedding day was completely stress free, in large part thanks to Katelynn and Courtney.

ing, so we hired her for her partial planning package. We had a general vision and chose our vendors with the help of Katelynn's recommendations, but she was crucial in putting it all together. We had a church ceremony and backyard reception and Katelynn helped us to plan out the backyard space so that all the tables fit with room to dance, and everything flowed together beautifully. She was also able to help with any questions we had, like how much glassware to rent, what types of rentals we would need, and kept us on track with getting all the vendors we needed. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Katelynn contacted all of our vendors and coordinated their arrival and ending times, and she was there the day before to help set up all of our rentals. Her timeline was specific and organized and we didn't have to think of anything except enjoying ourselves on the day of our wedding, she and her assistant handled everything! It was also great that she was at our rehearsal to ease our minds. Overall, I would definitely recommend Katelynn for your wedding planning needs!

ting planning process! Katelynn helped us secure most of our vendors, and was able to use her connections to make sure we were getting fair quotes. She kept us on track, especially in the final month before the event.
Most impressive was Katelynn's execution of our dream wedding. We had some complicated logistics to navigate (different ceremony/reception sites, city permits, even boat travel for the wedding party!). Katelynn and her assistants made sure the day went off without a hitch. Everything was in the right location at the right time, and no one asked me (the bride) for clarification. We were able to relax and enjoy the day.
We're so grateful for everything Katelynn has done to make our wedding the best and most stress-free day we could have imagined!!

n! We had a lot of little last-minute snags and Katelynn was able to help us every time. Whether the issue was needing tents, needing chairs for our sweetheart table, or needing to pass out umbrellas to our guests when it started raining at our outdoor wedding, Katelynn and Damaris were there for us! I also lost my purse and cell phone at one point, and Damaris found it in one of the cars for me. Best. Decision. Ever. (And also...sorry for my overdramatic mother and some of our more tipsy wedding guests!) But really, if you're on the fence, hire Own the Day Events. They're absolutely wonderful! She is punctual with meetings and responds in a timely manner. Because of COVID, we had to reschedule our wedding and she was accommodating to that. On the day of the wedding, she was very much present and making sure we were following our timeline. She executed the day very well. She was a great choice and we were so happy she was there on our big day!

y of my wedding we had rain, wind, storms, you name it! She never seemed rattled or nervous, and she was there ever step of the way! She fixed my dress prior to the wedding after the hook and eye broke, she untangled my necklace, she helped me bustle my soaked wedding dress, she helped everyone with anything they needed, and she even had to re-set our formal table 3 times from inside to outside to inside due to the rain. While I felt panicked, she kept saying everything is ok! Our wedding would of not been the same with out her. I would recommend Katelynn 100%%:)
