Oxbow is a wedding venue that offers three unique locations in Maine -- Oxbow Blending & Bottling in Portland, Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford, and Oxbow Brewing Company in Newcastle.
Oxbow Blending & Bottling is located in Portland’s vibrant East End neighborhood, and as the name implies, is where we blend and package all of our aged beers. This location is also home to our large urban bar and event space, which has become a cultural hub and community gathering space hosting weddings, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, family parties, and brunches. We have a great space to create your unique wedding celebration with a stage for a live band and a DJ booth for your epic dance parties!
Our Beer Garden can be found in Oxford, ME, and is a stylish, rural wedding venue. This country-style property is the third in an impressive collection of Oxbow venues. The company’s other locations can be found in Portland and Newcastle. Each amazing space boasts a unique vibe. At the beer garden, natural farm surroundings and rustic decor create an inspiring atmosphere. This peaceful location is situated just off Route 26 near the Western Maine Mountains. Just a short drive from Portland, the venue is easy to reach.
Both small and large celebrations are possible at Oxbow Beer Garden. A combination of indoor and outdoor spaces makes way for events of up to 200 guests. Couples may opt for a cozier celebration inside the barn. The barn features a simple exterior with light wooden paneling. This minimalist design makes for a romantic wedding backdrop. The property sits on a sprawling country estate. The happy couple can exchange vows in the enchanting backyard beer garden. This charming setting is complemented by stunning rural vistas. A spacious deck area is available for the cocktail hour. The newlyweds can host their main event in the intimacy of the barn. The sprawling surroundings of the farm are also an ideal site for dinner and dancing.
The professional team at the brewery aims to keep guests in high spirits. Their talented chefs specialize in mouth-watering wood-fired pizza. They will work to design a custom menu filled with sensational flavor and seasonal delights. The team grows its own produce on-site. The farm is ripe for the picking with delicious fruit and veg. Behind the bar, the staff can pour a variety of refreshing drinks. Sample some Oxbow originals, from beer and wine to soda and spirits. The team at the venue can supply rental items and organize transport. There is plenty for loved ones to explore as they wait for the celebrations to begin. Beautiful hiking trails are accessible all year round. An on-site store lets guests purchase lovely keepsakes of the big day.

We’ve lived in Portland for a while and Oxbow has always been one of our favorite breweries, so choosing their flagship for our wedding reception was a natural choice! From day 1, ...
their kindness, flexibility and responsiveness made it easy to plan the perfect night. Courtney was an incredible day-of coordinator who ensured that everything ran smoothly (and helped us manage all of our last minute DIY decorations and signage!!) Our guests had the best time and bringing in outside vendors for food/dessert was seamless. If I could do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing!! Thank you, Oxbow!

The planning process was incredibly organized, and the day-of coordinator was truly an angel on earth and on top of every detail. Being in the heart of so many trusted vendors who work together often took a huge weight off our shoulders. The venue was also very affordable, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night. We truly could not recommend Oxbow more highly.

mely responsive and always available to answer any of our questions. On the day of, Oxbow staff followed our decor set-up document perfectly, communicated with all vendors well, and even helped us out with a last-minute catering debacle. Courtney was a rockstar, making sure to communicate with us about how things would go, and she even checked in with us a couple times throughout the night to make sure we were all set (and to grab us some beer lol). Both my wife and I were able to fully focus on enjoying the moment rather than stressing about details because Oxbow staff did such a great job. I truly cannot recommend this place enough. The vibes and decor were perfect, there was more than enough space for our 60 guests during both the ceremony and reception, bar staff were quick and efficient (never saw a line at the bar), ugh like truly I have 0 notes!! THANK YOU OXBOW!!

very organized. They adapted to our admittedly untraditional request for karaoke and were always happy to help. Rebecca set up several Zoom meetings and helped us think through every detail. On the day of, Courtney was a huge support and coordinated smoothly with our family and friends who were bringing gifts and helping set up. The bartenders and staff were also incredible, and several guests commented on how lovely they were. Their whole team made the day as unique and special as we imagined. We feel lucky to have found Oxbow and would recommend them to anyone looking for great service and a lovely reception!

Planning & Coordination: The Oxbow team was so organized and had a guide that helped us prep. On the day-of, our coordinator was on top of everything. Drinks: Obviously a highlight. Open bar all night and was so worth the cost.
Staff: So kind and helpful leading up to and throughout the day.

ption for ~140 people following this and space was plenty big. Rebecca and Courtney were fantastic in helping coordinate everything and made the process extremely easy and stress free from start to finish. Rebecca set up regular meetings with us to ensure they could execute our vision. Courtney was awesome when we visited the venue for a tour and the day before/day of for last minute details. Some of our favorite parts of the venue are the big barrels, indoor/outdoor space which was perfect for the summer, the table flowers they provided, how there were two bars so the line was never long, the projector to play a slideshow of pictures, and the stage for speeches. And can't forget about the top tier beer! We would highly recommend for any event

l, as you can see from the photos, the vibes at this place are IMMACULATE!! Courtney & Rebecca are an absolute dream to work with, especially if you're a type B kinda person like I am and need someone to help you stay on track. They were able to make local recomendations for vendors and worked with all of our vendors to coordinate everything for the big day (which took a lot of stress off me as the bride). The two of them and the entire team at Oxbow were beyond flexible, kind, FUN, and chill. They brought the best energy to our wedding day -- they kept us on schedule but nothing ever felt rushed. They're also have a team of just genuinely great people. Oh, and they have killer beer!!! the Oxbow team started nearly two years prior, when we visited the venue and fell in love with it. It's a beautiful space. Every step of the way, Rebecca was always in touch to answer our questions and make sure we had everything we needed to ensure the day was a fun one. And it was perfect—everything came together so beautifully! The space was wonderful for our ~100 guests, the food was spectacular thanks to Chef Connor (we had everything from Oxbow-raised pork to rhubarb crumble), the drinks were delicious, and the whole day ran seamlessly thanks to Rebecca and her team. My partner Ryan and I are so grateful for Rebecca—she's an incredibly kind, thoughtful, patient, and sharp events manager who made the entire planning process very clear and easy to navigate, and the day of a seamless and unstressful experience. After lots of thoughtful planning from Rebecca, Ryan and I were able to really enjoy our wedding day without having to stress over logistics.
Oxbow Beer Garden was also the perfect venue for a big live band and a dance floor, which I would do again in a heartbeat. We booked Big Magic, who were excellent (and Rebecca/Oxbow helped them get what they needed to have a great set).
THANK YOU to Rebecca and Oxbow for a spectacular wedding!

After our original venue made the decision to shut its doors for good four months before our wedding, and we panic searched for another venue in the same city on the same date, we ...
couldn't believe Oxbow--a space of our dreams--was not only available but happy to work with us to quickly make our dreams and original vision come true (spoiler: they made it even better than we had originally envisioned and the service we received was something out of a movie).
We'll sing Oxbow's praises for a lifetime to come. They were the MOST organized, seasoned, and service-oriented group of people we talked to and worked with during our 1.5-year engagement. From their planning documents, extreme responsiveness, and willingness (and often proactively) to go above and beyond in all aspects of the day, we were oh so happy and at ease from the moment we signed our event contract through the end of our wedding night. This is all in addition to the upkeep and design of the space itself, the day-of bar staff that made our guests feel at home (and fall in love with their beer), their ability to store our decor and wedding needs early the week before, to hold onto it until we were ready to pick up later in the weekend, our amazing day-of coordinator, COURTNEY, who treated us as if it were her best friends getting married, and their 1:1 communication throughout the planning process with our other vendors, without needing us involved (!)...we could go on and on.
Thank you thank you thank you to the entire team at Oxbow, and a special shout out again to Courtney, Rebecca and Katie...we can't wait to come back!

en though the choices nearby are limited, there was literally nothing about my experience that was a disappointment. It was absolutely perfect and what we wanted.
The private room at the Oxford location is a perfect venue for a small party. We had 13 but could have probably included up to 20.
The food was incredible. There is nothing lowbrow about gourmet woodfire pizza, the best kale salad of my life and the strawberry rhubarb crumble. They were able to accommodate several picky eaters, a vegetarian and two folks with gluten sensitivities. And of course, its Oxbow, the beer and wine selection are varied and delicious.
Rebecca specifically made the entire process clear, easy, and magical. We didn't have to worry about anything. My brother dropped off our instamax photobooth/guestbook, the baker dropped off the cake, we plugged in our spotify list and they literally took care of the rest including tealights and cute tiny flower arrangements for the table. Casually walking into the courtyard with Taylor Swift's Lover playing is a core memory and the night only got better. We ate a delicious meal, got a bit tipsy, danced our first dance and watched a perfect early summer purple-pink sky sunset on the lawn.
The only regret I have is not taking pictures on our phones. We let the flower girl and ring bearer play photographer with the instamax.

We could not have been happier with our wedding reception at Oxbow in Portland. Rebecca was so helpful and patient with us in initial planning and as we threw questions at her for 6 months leading up to the day. Staying in touch with us after our initial query is what really led us to pulling the trigger to start planning and ultimately led to us booking the date in October that I really wanted. The decorations we provided, setup we requested, and plans for the event were executed flawlessly by Courtney and Josh, despite my being difficult to keep on track while dancing the night away! There was also some confusion with my family members who were trying to help us get all rentals/decorations delivered (they tried to deliver them to the wrong Oxbow, which gave us all a good laugh), and the Oxbow staff were very helpful as those family members called them as well. They really went above and beyond at every opportunity. We utilized the “bulk” flower relationship they have with Broadturn Farm, which turned out above our expectations (the colors were exactly what we wanted even though they were not contractually obligated to do that)- Rebecca helped coordinate drop-offs of extra flowers etc. with Angela, and it all went exactly to plan. Everyone had such a wonderful time at the reception, continues to talk about how wonderful the venue was, and we can’t thank Oxbow enough for pulling it off.

I highly recommend holding your event here - and eating here when visiting the area!

The staff at Oxbow are genuinely happy to be doing what they’re doing. They’re proud of their venue, their food, their beer, and their atmosphere – and they do everything they can ...
to make sure you’re having as great of a time as they are.
Oxbow was the first and only venue we looked at for our wedding, and we couldn’t have imagined a better location. Guests appreciated the great food and drink (and that the bar had more than beer!) and we loved the vibe of the beer garden.
Rebecca (the Oxbow event coordinator) was incredibly helpful from day 1 and was in constant contact to make sure we had everything we needed. For example, when we asked for coffee service for our late-night reception, Rebecca said… “sure!” A true professional!

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our wedding at Oxbow! The venue was gorgeous and the staff was incredibly helpful. The team was extremely communicative throughout ...
the entire process of planning and then we worked with an amazing weekend of coordinator! The staff at the event was amazing and helpful and went above and beyond for all of our needs! We had our wedding at the Newcastle location, which is by far the most rustic of the locations, so we did need to coordinate a fair amount to bring in bathrooms and catering and make sure electricity and water were available, but the team was very helpful in coordinating directly with the vendors to make this happen! We also stayed at the airbnb on site, which was so helpful!

tiful. They have captured the essence of farm wedding and thrown in elegant modern touches to create a beautiful welcoming atmosphere. Onsite there is a rental space to prepare for the wedding or for accommodations after the event. Oxbow did an incredible job with the design and layout of this space. I am so grateful for the hard work that Rebecca and her team put into making our wedding perfect.

Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford was the perfect location to host our wedding rehearsal dinner this past summer!

o postpone our wedding plans for that summer and regroup. Once we decided to hold out-door only events to celebrate our wedding in the summer of 2021, the first place we called was Oxbow. Ever since they opened, Oxbow has been one of our favorite spots to spend time – the food, the libations, and the vibe are great! The staff were so helpful and made everything easy. Our guests were just so excited to be able to celebrate all-together at such a fun venue and not worry about the risks of being indoors.
A shout out to Rebecca for being so awesome! She is amazing!

If you want to get married in a brewery Oxbow is the ONE. The the breweries we talked to were expensive and/or didn't know what they were doing. Oxbow has Rebecca as their amazing ...
event coordinator and she was so amazing and helpful. She coordinated with the other vendors and made the night go so smoothly. Oxbow also included an open bar (which they were very generous with!) and decorations. Everything was perfect without us having to think about anything. Oxbow was perfect for ur wedding, I'd love to go again as a guest!
