If you’re looking for a custom suit or tuxedo for your wedding, look no further than the Soho design shop of PJohnson. Tyler and Max are great in helping you through the entire pro...
cess from initial measurements, to design, and of course final fittings. The luxe fabrics we were offered combined with the upmost in design made for stunning wedding tuxedos. I cannot recommend P Johnson enough for your special day—there is truly a difference in having a garment hand made in Italy. Especially for your wedding.
P Johnson offers a suit buying experience that is unlike any I have ever had before, and the results are incredible. Most men have probably only purchased suits off the rack at Men...
s Warehouse/Express/Banana Republic/etc: the sales associates guide you to something in your price and style range, and then you get a few things altered, and you're done. The results can look okay, but in my experience, the fit is never quite right. The P Johnson difference is stark. My husband I spent three hours at our first appointment getting measured, selecting the outer fabric, the lining fabric, buttons, specifics of the lapels and stitching, and the overall fit. Our stylist Steve was very knowledgable and guided us through the whole process. They send out your order and after a few weeks it is delivered from their workshop. The second and (optional) third fittings make the final tweaks in-house to get the fit perfect. The resulting suits fit us both perfectly and looked amazing. The quality is unlike any other suit I own or have owned, and I'm looking forward to wearing it for future occasions. While definitely pricier than a rental or an off-the-rack suit, it costs way less than the million bucks that you'll look like in it.
Gentlemen--
The best thing I did to prepare for my wedding was to chose the right spouse. The second-best thing I did was go to P. Johnson for my suit and shirt. Take my advice a...
nd go. It's good for you and, as I'll explain at the end, it's the least you can do for your intended.
For you:
If you have a vision, the guys at P. Johnson have the technique to execute it. If you can't imagine having a "vision" for your wedding clothes, they'll guide you to the right result. The guys were straight shooters--no up-selling, no condemnation of style preferences, no pressure, just good-natured, well-informed, super-decent guys helping me figure out what to wear on my wedding day. If I had a question, they answered it. If I wanted to hang out, they hung out. If I needed to change something, they changed it.
I think you especially should go to P. Johnson if you're marrying a woman who has spent more time and thought on her dress than you likely have on the whole wedding. It's not just that you'll look good, although you will (more on that in a second). It's that getting a tailor-made suit shows your bride that you've thought about the wedding day and that you want to look your best for her. Don't be one of these guys who can't be bothered to think about the wedding, even if you "do what you're told" with respect to planning. Have a little respect for yourself and for your wife-to-be and think ahead. And the great thing about working w P. Johnson is that thinking ahead is painless. Have an espresso or a beer, sit on their sofa, play with the gorgeous puppy that sometimes pads around the store, and be real about what you do and don't care about, what you can and can't afford, what you do and don't know about the plans. And let the pros take it from there.
A last thing. You're going to look great in a suit made for you. Again, all you have to know is what you want to know. If you don't have a preference on particular style things, they'll advise. If you have a preference--your shirts from work always annoy you this particular way, or you really hate that color, or whatever--the clothes made LITERALLY JUST FOR YOU are going to accommodate that preference.
So do yourself a favor. Just go and have a chat. I think you'll be glad you did.
