ake sure the day of went smoothly. We had a great time cruising down the river and celebrating with our family and friends. Plus, we heard from a lot of our guests that the reception was memorable and fun. I mean come on — you could have your reception at some hall, or you could have it on a boat!

ions. She was always giving us new ideas, and suggestions which we never thought of. The chef was amazing too! He tried a new recipe because I can not have gluten, and it was delicious! He was very accommodating and super helpful. When the deli platters came out at night, they had a separate one for me, since I can not have gluten. The venue was great, and I still keep hearing from guests how it was so unique and perfect for our wedding.

ough there are aspects of a boat wedding that present challenges, we don't regret our venue choice at all. Also, Colleen the coordinator provided excellent service, even though I'm sure she often thought we were challenging customers. Beware that you will have to go through Mintahoe Catering. Also, the boat is more expensive than many other venues, but Mintahoe Catering is less expensive than other caterers, so for us (~100 guests) it about evened out.

ous, the staff was very good, and everyone had a good time. A couple people told me it was the best and most unique wedding they had been to. There were a few little details I had asked for that were overlooked but to me they were not that big a deal. Tammy at the Padelford office was great to work with.

d reception. We decided to use the Centennial Showboat because it was more affordable than the cruising boats. They always do ceremonies inside on the theater stage. I have always wanted an outdoor wedding, and because of our small numbers they allowed us to be the first to have our ceremony on the upper deck, outside. Tammy, the coordinator there was great to work with. She was very prompt in answering all of our questions, and made planning with her very easy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating the entire day of from the second we got on the boat until the second we stepped off. In fact we were 15-20 minutes over our time in getting everything cleaned up, and they stepped in to help not once rushing us or becoming upset. If you want a unique location, Padelford is the way to go.

autiful experience. Our coordinator was so accommodating and really stood by us throughout the planning process. When we had questions, they answered them almost immediately. When we had minor problems, they made them a top priority to fix. From the moment we called to the end of our wedding evening, they were fabulous to work with. And the boats themselves are gorgeous, clean and the staff working on the boats are friendly and professional. We were thrilled with our decision to have our wedding there, and look forward to going back for one of their dinner cruises some evening.
