The location was beautiful for an afternoon ceremony and requires little to no decoration because of how gorgeous the building and park is. The catering was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. The only reason why I removed one star is due to the park being open - we were given the option to rope off the park and reserve parking for our guests, both of which ended up being pointless. People walked over, kicked over, or even drove over the signs with their bikes and didn’t care there was a private event happening. Bicyclists were driving through and over our dance floor. By the time our ceremony started, most of our guests had to find street parking due to the reserved parking being taken over. I know the owners of the venue can’t control the behavior of Norfolk, but I do wonder why they offer the (higher priced) option of ‘reserving the park’ when it’s really not doing anything. I would choose this location again in a heartbeat but not reserve the park (only the building), and not order a dance floor if I could do it again. Otherwise, it was a beautiful spot for a daytime wedding and we greatly enjoyed it!

This was perhaps the most beautiful venue to have a wedding. Our wedding was April 15th in the garden and the weather was perfect. We cannot thank Ms. Madeline Sly for her recommendations and answering all of our questions (even if we asked them more than twice). Our guests enjoyed exploring the gardens, the pagoda and the koi pond. Dreason Ruckett of Dreal’s at the Pagoda did an amazing job with the catering as everyone raved about his food.

This was a great experience, the service was wonderful, they helped the best way they could. They also over and beyond there expectation. They stayed in contact with us and made sure we had everything we needed up to the day of the wedding. Great catering and was able to inform us of people who did any services that we needed as far as a preacher, decorations etc., they were great recommendations. They had just finished some renovating and they fixed everything up beautifully and helped with making sure everything was in place. They did more then a great job and the prices where well worth it. I would recommend this place 100%!!!!

I want to say first that Hummingbird's desserts are so delicious to where we had a big privilege of being able to have our wedding cake done by them. Kisha and the staff were/are so nice and helpful. I was able to provide rough draft sketches of my vision for me and my husband's wedding cake and it came out EXACTLY as I imagined. It was so good! If you need a cake done or just want a snack on the go this is the place.

This was the spot that my husband first asked me to be his girlfriend AND where he proposed. We were so excited to be able to have our wedding ceremony and reception here. Not only were the gardens in full bloom, but we got really lucky and had perfect weather! Madeline Sly did so much to help us with making our day absolutely perfect. She was prompt with responding to emails and phone calls and made sure that everything ran smoothly on our special day. Our wedding was truly perfect!

Our wedding day turned out wonderful! The Pagoda was such a beautiful venue, we could not have wished for anything else. Both Madeline and Julie were so helpful from the very beginning, and they made sure the ceremony and reception ran smoothly, giving us nothing to think about on our special day but each other, our family and friends.

This was our DREAM venue! Not only was it beautiful and romantic, but the owner, Madeline, was so accomodating and helpful during the whole process! Our wedding was perfect in every way, and we couldn't have done it without The Pagoda :)

Although our wedding day was incredibly hot, Madeline Sly made our ceremony at the Pagoda Garden a memorable one. She was very open with our ideas and even let us use the restaurant on site to get out of the heat. She was quick to respond to emails and calls which was very helpful! Be mindful that you will need to bring any items and or rent chairs, etc that you may need if the ceremony is being held there. Very affordable!

We were married in the garden right next to a Pagoda-shaped restaurant. We had a tent set up next to the restaurant with a dance floor and on the water. There were ponds and fountains and many beautiful places to take pictures.;There is only one bathroom in the restaurant. I would recommend renting a portable bathroom if you have a large party.
