Paicines Ranch is an amazing choice for your wedding venue! The views, the options, the flexibility are all huge WINS. The coordinator, Emily, is so personable and attentive. It was a pleasure working with her and getting to know her over the last year+. She is an excellent communicator and listens to the vision! Even helping work through details you might've missed. Every team member made for such an incredible and memorable night for us. Lodging is also amazing and lots of rooms to accommodate your closest people. We look forward to visiting Paicines again and again.

My husband and I were married in June 2024. We were looking for a venue with that rustic, but classy feel and we found it at Paicines Ranch. We met lovely Emily Skow back in 2023 when we first toured and she made reserving this location very easy.
We loved the historic Grogan, the updated reception barn with the beatuful hanging lights, and we thought the little cottages and yurts were a quirky touch. We liked that our bridal party could stay at the venue in the rental cottages and didn't have to travel in and out of Hollister. Note: the cottages and other accommodations are a separate fee. They're not included in the venue price.
The Grogan is spectacular to get ready in. I felt like a princess with her own little Victorian styled home. We were able to host our own breakfasts and lunches out of the industrial kitchen. It was great.
The Rose Cottage is wonderful the men. Such a cute set up and we got some great pictures in both buildings.
Carlos and his wife Nancy were fantastic. They have a great menu and their food is top notch.
Emily is a fantastic host and makes you feel like part of the family. She was there to answer any and all questions leading up to the big day. She's a rockstar.
If you want a picturesque venue this is the place to go to.
One thing to note: everything is a la carte. You book the venue and then have to pay for the the other vendors separately. Make sure you know that when booking here.

Paicines Ranch is a historic wedding venue located in San Benito County in Paicines, California. With its panoramic views, sweeping lawns, and historic buildings, Paicines Ranch is the perfect location for weddings and other special events. The on-site team will work with you to ensure that every element of your celebration honors your one-of-a-kind love story.
Facilities and Capacity
Paicines Ranch has two wedding locations on site. We offer week day and weekend weddings with discounted rates.
The main Event Barn - This space is for weddings 75-250. Couples can hold their ceremony upon the spacious Grogan Lawn. This park-like setting is bordered by perennial gardens and is surrounded by panoramic views of the beautiful countryside. For your reception, you can dance the night away in their newly renovated barn. This romantic space can hold up to 250 guests for a sit-down dinner and boasts exposed wood beams, twinkle lights, elegant draping, and a gorgeous chandelier. Their outdoor space out the barn doors is great if you prefer outdoor dance or a sitting area under the stars. Lodging in the event center is reserved for all Event Barn weddings and can be booked seprately. Lodging holds 55 guests in their own private houses, cottages, and yurts. Total lodging at Paicines Ranch will hold up to 80 guests and can also be booked seprately as needed.
Our new Overlook Dining Room - This is perfect for weddings 95 or less. The modern style of this building brings new and old together in a beautiful space that overlooks the Cienega Hills. The covered patio is the best location for a cereomony and then cocktail hour for guests. Inside, you will find the Old Oak Bar stocked with local wines and some wine from our own vinyard. The beatiful tables, made from a hundred year old oak tree, are all included for set up along with the dining chairs. You will work with our wedding team to outline the perfect layout in the Dining Hall. From Pizza, hot from our pizza oven , to a plated dinner, let the chef and team work with you to create a delicous meal your guests will love. We grow all our own meat on this 7,000 acre ranch. Farm to table is what we believe in, sourcing from local organic farmers straight to our kitchen. Lodging for this space is set aside from the main Event Center and will be reserved for you and your guests as needed. The Pinnacle House, Quail Cottages, and Condor Cottages will hold up to 27 guests for your wedding, and can be booked seprately.

k-studded hills that painted that landscapes to the charismatic, delightful, and incredibly helpful events crew, this venue has it all! To top it off, it's a working ranch tackling regenerative agriculture and they aligned with my values and eco wedding. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding and exceptional venue that went above and beyond to make my wedding unforgettable.

SO much to offer. To start, they can accommodate a large amount of guests on site for the entire wedding weekend. There are many different spots on the property to host events from the rehearsal dinner to late night smores to a farewell brunch. Each spot opens up a new area for you and your guests to explore. This venue has everything you need for your wedding day including tables and chairs, place settings & glassware, lounge furniture and an onsite caterer and full functioning bar. The barn itself is absolutely exquisite with it's flooring and wood paneling and comes with ample lighting, chandeliers and draping.
The onsite venue coordinator Emily (and her team) are absolutely stellar. Emily's wedding day worth ethic is top notch and something that every couple should expect from an employee of a wedding venue. Her attention to detail and ability to quickly problem solve provides both comfort and ease on a day that can be quite stressful. (I remember looking out to see the wedding guests taking shelter from the drizzle approaching the wedding ceremony. Without hesitation, Emily grabbed chair cushions for each of the guests to ensure they would at least have a dry seat to sit on.) She is always willing to put in the extra help to ensure the entire wedding weekend runs smoothly.
A wedding weekend at Paicines Ranch will be an event for both you and your guests to remember for a lifetime!

so have another family member who has already booked for 2026! It hard to express how great this place is so I'll bullet point some highlight.
1. Emily & Leilani - They are so helpful, fun, kind and they actually care about your day. They go out of their way to aid you in the process and make everything as easy as possible. Emily is one of my favorite people in general, but her expertise in all things wedding is top notch.
2. The venue itself - BEAUTIFUL. The way we did it is rehearsal dinner at the overlook which is literally brand new and has the best view, ceremony on the lawn (also best view) and reception in the barn. Its gorgeous, no other words. You need to go check it out to understand.
3. Lodging - Instead of smashing things out in one day and running around on your wedding day, you get to have a whole weekend. We were on a budget so we set up the venue ourselves on Thursday (THANK YOU EMILY). We arrived for the weekend on Friday and stayed until Sunday. You get to treat this place like its yours for the most important day of your life, and on top of that, all of your family and friends can stay with you! The wedding day was all the more special having the Grogan house as the center of all the activities and my family and friends coming in and out while we all got ready. Its unmatched.
4. Food - No worries on catering, they just do it all for you! They have lots of options to pick from!
5. Bar - we chose the 2 beers, 3 wines and 2 signature drink option but the venue lets your guests drink whatever may be leftover from other weddings which is amazing. The bartenders are awesome!
Honestly i can't say enough about this place. It far exceeded every expectation I had. Call Emily and check it out, you'll be sold immediately LOL

inner at the private restaurant on site. They have a pizza oven that made it so fun for guests to arrive Friday night and have some wine and pizza. We were able to hang out at different locations on site and enjoy catching up with friends.
The event barn is perfect for cocktail hour, dinner reception, and dancing. It was nice that all the catering staff, servers, glass ware, plates, tables and chairs are included. There was no extra fees or rentals needed.
Emily helped us book the venue and was our venue coordinator on site. She even met with our other vendors when we were not able to make it. Emily was truly reliable and we could trust her expertise to ensure our weekend was perfect.
Summer was a perfect time since we wanted an evening wedding, but I’m sure any time of the year will be perfect out there.

op shop. The ranch has a beautiful lawn for the ceremony, cute cottages for your guests, and a beautiful barn for your reception. The property has a restaurant where we hosted our rehearsal dinner. Emily was extremely amazing, I give her work and support 5+ stars. A week before my wedding there were some changes with our catering team, however, Emily right away supported me and took care of it! The ranch was under going changes during my planning, causing some stress. But as mentioned, Emily was great at responding to my concerns. I am giving 4/5 stars due to poor communication at time and myself having to reach out to staff to confirm things and/or receive updates. As mentioned, it appears that the ranch was going under a lot of internal changes during my planning. Overall, I recommend this hidden gem for your wedding! Thank you Emily for all your hard work in making this a beautiful day for my husband and I!

ecor and table settings for our personal touch. The bigger items like tables and chairs were included so that was great. We were able to set up our own items early and that made it easy so we could really enjoy our wedding weekend with guests and not worry about having a lot to do.
There is on site catering so we had our rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch at the Overlook. This was also so great to have one less thing to worry about.
Emily and her wedding staff were amazing. They went above and beyond just being a wedding venue.

s. We hired Emily as our month of coordinator as well and couldn't have done it without her!
FOOD: AMAZING. We chose to do family style at dinner which everyone loved - it took a little longer to serve everyone as we had a bigger party, but food still came out warm so no worries there! Do yourselves a favor and do the spare ribs, never had anything better. We did a few strolling appetizers and a small cake with cupcakes and cookies and everything was delicious. You can tell that everything is farm fresh and sourced locally as well.
ACCOMODATIONS: We chose to stay on property Friday - Sunday and there should be no other option. It was amazing to be able to do the rehearsal dinner (we did it on the terrace, as the new kitchen hadn't been open yet) on property on Friday. We had time to check-in, decorate the barn and still get ready with plenty of time for the rehearsal. We never felt rushed or forced to get out of there. Houses are cute, quaint and clean. We even rented out the teepees for some guests and they loved it. Great option for bridal parties and immediate families to stay on property so you know they will be on time hehe
TEAM: The team is so accommodating and helpful through the entire process. They are extremely friendly, easy to get ahold of and always so helpful. Emily helped fill spaces with beautiful furniture and decor. I truly could not have asked for anyone better to help with the process.
LOCATION: beautiful, pictures at sunset on the mountain and wonderful.
if you are debating, just do it. 10/10 experience :) I would do it again 100 times over!

rass area where the ceremony was held. It over looked the gorgeous hills and all the oak trees. The beautiful barn where the reception was held was so magical and elegant with the lights swooping down and white shear material following it. Our bride and groom's table was so beautiful with lights and sheers behind it. The bar area was very inviting and a place to congregate just outside. The lodging was amazing and fun for all the guest to be there. We were able to even bring trailers and camp out which made it a memorable experience. The awesome sapcoius Grogan house was where the bridal party got ready and we had an after party as well there. Our wedding was on October 21st of 2023 and it had to have been the most georgous day as far as weather is concerned. October is a beautiful time of year to have a wedding at The Paicines Ranch.
Emily Skow was the most awesome wedding coordinator I have ever met. She was so accommodating and so easy and stress free to work with. She helped make the whole experience an amazing event. She had great ideas and suggestions which helped make our day the best day ever.
We will never forget this day and the Paicines Ranch that made it all possible.

zing. They use their own grass fed meats and were great about what food and drinks we wanted.
While the venue does come with a few things like tables and chairs, you do have to pay to rent other items from them and a lot of the decoration will be DIY, but this can be a good thing if you want to personalize a lot of things!
Owners are not too strict about things and are flexible. This can go both ways though - sometimes the planning was a bit difficult due to lack of communication with the venue. It would take a while to get answers, or they would forget some things I told them. Definitely recommend getting a day of planner to help since this is a large venue with lots of DIY and family around usually.
Other than that though, everything turned out beautiful and guests were very happy with the views and rooms. They are reasonably priced and we were able to stay up late too! Perfect day :)

event barn was just what we were looking for. We were able to have 200 guests seated for dinner, and still plenty of room for dancing. This place had everything from onsite catering to lodging. Emily and her wedding team were very knowledgeable and great to work with. My wife and I came out several times prior to our wedding so we could tour lodging, walk the barn layout, and bring some of our vendors out so they were ready before the wedding day.
Paicines Ranch catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. The meats they served are from the ranch and we were able to customize our menu to what we really liked. Emily walked us through all our food and beverage options with the chef and we loved that they were so accommodating. So many of our friends said what a great time they had not just at the wedding, but the entire weekend. We are planning a reunion so we can have a reason to all get together again out at Paicines Ranch. My wife and I highly recommend this venue for your wedding day or weekend.
