Paint'd

I planned my New Orleans wedding from New York City and it was mostly stress-free if you can imagine that. Something we wanted to do was pay specific attention to all the little details and make it DIFFERENT than weddings we've been to. It was really important to us to be true to ourselves and have unique touches to our day. That went from everything to the venue down to my nails :) When I thought about who would do my nails, I panicked. That sounds silly, but I'm THAT GIRL who chips her nails the second she walks out of the salon. We took a vendor-meeting trip in very late November 2018, about 7 months before our wedding. I had found Paint'd on instagram. Aimée recommended Katalina to do my requested nail art, I sent a photo and said that the photo was exactly what I imagined. I went, had my trial, and they were so nice, so cool, the salon is literally ME in a room. The navy blues, hot pinks, bright and clean. It's a gorgeous space and the people who work there are so mellow and friendly. A couple months before our wedding I reached out to confirm all was good and found out Katalina was leaving about a week before our wedding to start her own salon. I was ...let's say less than thrilled, in a very New York way. Obviously brides have expectations and stressors...this was an unforeseen one. Given she was *the* person to do my chosen nail art I was nervous to let anyone else take the appointment except her, also since we had already met and had a rapport. I kept my appointment and booked my mom a session as well. The weekend came and the Paint'd team made me feel like royalty. They'll have to forgive me because I cannot remember the technician's name that day because I was a mess, but she was fantastic also. I got SO. MANY. COMPLIMENTS on my nails. I got the apres gel extensions (they lasted well over 3 weeks, no chips breaks or anything). The nail art was perfection. Any time I'm back in New Orleans they will be my nail salon of choice and I waste zero time recommending them. Thank you for the best manicure of my life!!!
