As the sun sets, golden light wraps around our historic 1920s Texas Tumbleweed Room, creating a magical atmosphere filled with the sounds of nature—birds singing, crickets chirping, jackrabbits hopping through the grass, and the occasional deer passing by. When evening falls, the stars come out and the oak trees glow with soft lighting, setting the scene for an unforgettable celebration. Dance the night away in our climate-controlled Sun Room, a stunning 3,000-square-foot space that serves as a magnificent dance floor or an elegant indoor ceremony or reception option during inclement weather. Overlooking a lake and sweeping countryside, this space allows you to enjoy the sunset views while staying comfortable year-round. Located just over an hour west of Fort Worth and approximately 45 minutes from Weatherford and Wichita Falls, Painted Lakes Ranch offers a private, serene escape that feels worlds away. Officially opened as a wedding venue in 2017, the ranch is home to horses, cattle, ducks, and other wildlife, adding to its authentic country charm. Antique décor and rustic props throughout the property help capture the romance of sunset, ranch, and country-themed weddings. Facilities & Capacity Painted Lakes Ranch can accommodate up to 150 guests and offers onsite lodging in the Weekend Package for up to 33 guests. The Sun Room provides a spacious dance floor with beautiful lighting and can also serve as a backup ceremony location in case of rain. Services Offered Our packages provide setup and cleanup services, along with a variety of unique enhancements to make your wedding weekend truly special. Options include an ice cream wagon, play area for kids, on-site lodging, corn hole, disc golf, horse shoes, fishing and more.
