This place is beautiful inside and outside. Has all you need in one place. Locker rooms to get ready at venue and a coordinator to help throughout the whole process. Amazing I am h...
appy I selected this location for my best day ever. Food is delicious, ee had so many compliments on how delicious the food was. Hands down great place for any event.
First, I'd like to start with the good:
1) Very affordable
2) Very accommodating
3) Very nice people
4) Bar tender was very, very generous
5) Taylor saved us (bride and groom) s...
ome apps from cocktail hour
6) Food ok
Now the not so good about Taylor...
1) Taylor seemed like a nice person...but she was SO.DIFFICULT. to get ahold of. I would email her questions, only to get a response 3 days later or I would have to email her multiple times to get a response. To the point where I wanted to cry as I was 3 states away & planning a wedding while finishing up my last year of college. Not exactly fun to do, let alone not working with someone who would not give a speedy response..I would have at least liked a response within a day or two. You're working with brides..we like to have some sort of communication.
2) Taylor wasn't even sure what Taylor promised.
- she promised my mom she would help us set up the morning of the wedding...wasn't there
-promised us we could start setting up the night before at 7....only for us to arrive and she was gone and there was still an event going on
- after making it VERY clear that I specifically came to town after making a 12 hour drive for our food tasting, she informed me the day before (after not responding to previous emails) that they could not in fact do our food tasting because the ingredients had not come in on time....what?? What kind of ingredients do you have to special order?? Was the food all frozen then?
3) Overall..just kind of not helpful. When I arrived for my reception, my mom informed me that the stage my husband and I were seated at was completely "naked"...as in wires, steel rods and all....not cute. My mom was furious! It looked NOT wedding-friendly at all.
4) Day of the wedding came and it was picture time...gave us NO direction as to where to go. WE COULDN'T EVEN FIND HER AT FIRST. After she was found she finally told us we could "go anywhere by the clubhouse" ....okay great...but how do you get there? Can we get a couple golf carts for the grandparents? How do you get there on foot? Or cart? Literally gave us nothing. Our pictures were SO stressful, because Taylor disappeared into her office and our BMs and GMs had no idea where to go, along with the bride and groom.
5) As soon as my husband and I left the venue, the staff started clearing out IMMEDIATELY. Like... my mom had to SPRINT to the freaking reception area and at the last minute ripped out my cake serving set that we got engraved and spent a good amount of money on out of the hands of staff. WTH!?!?!? My family had barely enough time to save our more prized memories before they bundled everything up and threw half of it away and threw the other half in a storage room for us to get the next day. I am absolutely FURIOUS about the fact that my family had barely enough time to clear out my things.
6) When we came in the next day, we found some of our "nicer" candy (chocolate covered almonds) from our candy bar hidden in their cabinets....uh??
7) My cake topper DIDN'T COME WITH THE CAKE AND TAYLOR HAD NO IDEA. My aunt had to notice and let Taylor know to call the bakery and bring in the topper which was left in the car
There were a few other things that won't fit. But in short, if you don't mind doing nearly everything yourself, at the benefit of basically free range (we could even throw confetti with no cleanup charge)then I would recommend. If you are an anal bride who needs strong lines of communication and perfection..GL
We went for a tour and things were great, we really liked it and Taylor, but... she never got back to us with menu ideas and prices like she said she would. Even after I called and...
emailed her a few times- she kept saying she would get back to me and never did. we went to another club who actually got back to us via phone and email. so glad we went elsewhere because we fell in love with that other venue and had a great ceremony and reception there. guess it was just meant to be. anyway, we can't speak for everyone, but we got poor service.
I'm not one for a lot of words so I will keep this short.
Kerry was a big help. We planned our wedding from across the country and Kerry was very accommodating. I would also r...
ecommend anyone listed as a preferred vender by Palm Valley. We used the preferred venders and they were all awesome. The venue was great and everyone was very helpful. Kerry was awesome. They didn't push us on trying to do anything outside of the price range that we wanted and everyone had very acceptable rates for the services provided. Our wedding went off without a hitch and we owe a great thanks to all the venders.
I was very happy with the service, facility and staff (they were great my kudos to all of them). Terri was excellent helping us in every possible way. the only complain I have is...
that we paid 2.50 per person for unlimited sodas and the fountain was not provided it. I was the only one that had 1 coke (per my request they served me one) . I believe that if we paid for something and it was not provided it. we should be entitled to reimbursement. We were told that a Soda fountain was going to be available but they never put it out My event was a quinceanera not wedding. This is the only reason i will not give 5 stars
