About this vendor
PALMHOUSE is an industrial wedding venue situated in Evanston, IL, dripping in style and sophistication. This stunning blank canvas is operated by self-proclaimed foodies and cocktail connoisseurs who instill their creative energy in every event that comes their way. Give your loved ones a celebration they'll long cherish with photo-worthy décor, exquisite dining, and amenities they wouldn't believe.
Stepping through the doors of PALMHOUSE, it's easy to see the passion the founders have for milestone events and parties. The contemporary venue stands out for its stunning open layout, complete with sweeping high double bowtruss ceilings invigorated by dark rich wood. Flattering light pours through the large windows and skylights, while the exposed brick is a photographer's delight. In the midst of this, you'll find separate spaces for the ceremony and banquet that flow seamlessly together. Two private suites lie nearby. The first features a three-piece washroom, vanity area, and lounge furniture, while the second comes with its own wet bar. As for the main event area, a 35-foot-long bar stands as an impressive centerpiece with ample room for stocking all the ingredients for a custom beverage menu. Meanwhile, the more demure rounded bar is the designated cocktail space where you can welcome loved ones in the Parlor before the reception begins.
PALMHOUSE has the team and means to host any wedding theme you desire. Their scope for ceremonies is large, with enough flexible space to hold every stage of the day without needing to turnover. Throughout your day, you will have a dedicated team of personnel who will work closely with all vendors to keep your event flowing freely. If not availing of their trusted network of vendors, you are, of course, welcome to enlist licensed and insured outside suppliers. Furthermore, the venue comes with two resident catering partners with a penchant for incredible food that tastes as good as it looks.

We truly could not have asked for a better venue and catering team for our wedding! We had the best time and really feel like the night went perfectly.

zing, and we’ve heard so many compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was. We also loved what they did with the outdoor area, it looked so beautiful and made the whole space feel exactly how we hoped it would.
We’re also so grateful for all of the communication and help throughout the planning process. From touring the space to doing the tasting, everything was so much fun, and we always felt like we were in good hands.
Thank you again to the whole team for helping make our wedding day so amazing. We really could not have asked for a better experience!
We are so happy that we chose Palmhouse for our ceremony and reception. The venue was absolutely beautiful, it made for such a great backdrop in all our photos. The bar and custo...
m cocktails were a huge hit. The team was extremely accommodating and collaborative with setup and teardown. They monitored lighting, water, chairs, and all the other little details so well in order to help the night go smoothly. The staff is all incredibly kind and considerate and we'd happily recommend them to any friends getting married.
We had such a great wedding at Palmhouse!! Amber, India, and Janek were all wonderful to work with. They all helped our dream come true. Our guests had great things to say about th...
e venue. Additionally, their flexible vendor policy allowed us to customize aspects of our day to fit our vision & budget. Their costs include venue rental & bar services, as they require you to use their in-house bar service - which was AMAZING. Our guests loved their drinks & the best part was that there was never a long line at the bar, which no one likes at a wedding!
I'm knocking off one star for the communication. The month leading up to the wedding was GREAT, they were super responsive and really helpful. However, we felt it was a little hard to reach them in between booking and the month leading up. Questions would come up & it would take them quite awhile to respond. I know this is because they're busy with lots of events, but I think they would be smart to hire more staff to keep up with their growing popularity.
Overall, this was a great venue and we were so happy with it. It was a great size for our 130 guests but can easily hold more. I definitely recommend Palmhouse for those wanting to get married just outside the city!
I am not exaggerating when I say that Palmhouse saved our wedding. Due to circumstances outside our control, we lost our initial wedding/reception venue just six weeks before our w...
edding. On the advice of a friend in the wedding industry we reached out to Palmhouse, as they were a new venue. I'm so thankful we ended up at Palmhouse, they made our day so incredibly magical.
India responded to our panicked email within a few hours and was so incredibly kind, reassuring, and helpful.
Before I talk about the space itself, I do want to hype up India and the team at Palmhouse. First off, she was incredibly flexible. While we rented the space for 12 hours, she was flexible with decor drop off, and pickup. India was always prompt in response to inquiries and was happy to be helpful in any way possible.
Now to talk about the space itself: Palmhouse is gorgeous. The outdoor space allows you to have your ceremony against their incredibly striking teal wall, or a red brick backdrop on the other side. The lighting is perfect for late summer, and the outdoor patio space is also great for cocktails.
Indoors the two rooms allow for a flexible cocktail space, and dancing space. It also includes two prep rooms for each member of the wedding party. You can see from the photos but the teal and brick interior is both striking and unique. It feels like a place where you want to celebrate.
Palmhouse does have an exclusive liquor vendor but don't worry, they are outstanding. Hardly Shaken made us amazing cocktails, had a wonderful staff, and even gave us a booze tasting (don't drive, Janek makes a strong drink)
There are a million other things I could say but this is what was most important: India and her team genuinely cared about our event. On just 6 weeks notice they helped us have the exact wedding we wanted. They wanted it to be special, and that sort of care radiates through the entire venue and team. I recommend them wholeheartedly for your wedding, or any other event.
