I found Pamela by flipping through photos from previous weddings at our venue and having a moment of, "I love these pictures, who took them?? I must have that photographer!!!" And then I did. :-) Pamela was absolutely fantastic, and a much needed calming presence on an otherwise hectic (but of course also amazing) day. The second shooter, whose name I believe was Jennifer, was also super friendly and laid-back, and helped set the vibe for the photos (neither the now-husband nor I are great photo-takers, so we needed all the help we could get!). And most importantly, our wedding pictures came out amazingly. I'm so happy we went with Pamela!

Pamela exudes all the qualities you are looking for when it comes to finding someone to capture your big day; she is passionate and dedicated in her job, an amazing person to get to know, and goes above and beyond your expectations. My husband and I got married at the Ronald Reagan Building and decided to do a first look. A month prior to our wedding, Pamela went out of her way and spent the day figuring out the best places to capture our photos at the venue. That same day, she met with me and my wedding planner and walked us through her ideas for the wedding party photos. My husband and I folded 1000 cranes for our big day, and wanted to make sure that was well represented. We used the cranes as a backdrop for our family photos, and the pictures Pamela took were absolutely gorgeous. The day of the wedding, Pamela also brought her assistant, Jennifer, and were both extremely organized, professional, and excelled at sticking to the timeline. If you are looking for someone to entrust in your big day, someone who is great to work with, is very organized, and does phenomenal work, Pamela is the one for you!

As a planner, I enjoy working with vendors that are punctual, professional, and talented. Pamela is all these things and more. She and her assistant Jenifer did an amazing job taking photos of my bride and groom. They were efficient with their time and exceeded all of my expectations. I was very impressed with the photos I had an opportunity see on the camera. I can't wait to see the images when they are ready! Pamela, thanks for making the wedding day so smooth. I am SO happy to have found Pamela! Pamela is a talented, true wedding photography professional. Even in the most challenging situations, she creates the best possible photographs! It was raining the entire day on our wedding day and Pamela captured our wedding & pre wedding activities beautifully (even in the pouring rain), still hitting our favorite spots, and even brought a clear shower curtain along to go underneath my dress and a black umbrella for us to be photographed under! She happily accommodated our ridiculously long shot list (my husband and I both come from big families) and still fit in her creative and expertly crafted bride & groom shots. I felt like I was in more than capable hands the entire time. Pamela is confident, direct and can get a large group together and looking their best within seconds! The superlatives in the Webster Dictionary, even if all applied to Pamela Lepold, fail to describe the high quality of Pamela and her work. I initially hired Pamela to take my engagement photos. The result was artistry. The same is true of my wedding, for which I also hired Pamela. Pamela puts a lot of work into knowing her subjects before their wedding day. Not only does she seek to survey the venues in advance, she interviews her subjects, trying to ascertain their characteristics and passions. Early on, I told Pamela that I wanted a classy wedding, that I'd be wearing a blush pink dress and my colors would be silver and blush pink. Furthermore, I described my intention to use the National Cathedral and its Bishop's Garden as a backdrop for my photos. Pamela spent one afternoon navigating the site with me. She saw things I did not see; this is because she has a very artistic eye. She can see a tree or an awning and know it's a good site for a photo. In her mind, she can register the lighting techniques she'd use to maximize the quality of the photo. I found Pamela to be incredibly personable and calm, but she balanced this well with being efficient and driven. For example, the day of my wedding we had a snow storm. The original plan was to close the reception with a candlelight vigil outside of the National Cathedral. When that option was foregone due to high winds and precipitation, Pamela suggested we have the candlelight vigil inside the venue adjacent to the Cathedral, with our guests encircling my spouse and me with their candles. Brilliant! Second, I was late to meet Pamela because my bridesmaids' makeup appointment was delayed. Pamela was calm and collected. As my spouse and I got dressed, Pamela found other subjects for her photos, like the dress, the rings, and the jewelry. This allowed for maximum efficiency when Alex and I were ready. This efficiency paid off, because on our last photo, it began to snow, and we had to rush indoors to get ready for the church ceremony. Pamela strikes an equilibrium between being highly effective at her work and affable. I never felt she was a bother. She was very courteous with all of my guests, and she assisted me in fulfilling the list of photos I desired. Pamela is very transparent about her business practices. She puts a lot of work into creating a broad portfolio of photos, from private photos of the bride and groom to their wedding party and their guests, as well as the intimate details of their venues. I am incredibly impressed with Pamela's work, and I feel privileged to have had her photograph my wedding!
