Pangtography

I highly recommend Pang for any of your photography needs! She is amazing!

Pang is one in a million. She and I first sat down together in a coffee shop up in Shepherdstown, WV, where I was immediately charmed by her friendliness, humor, and candor. At that point, she was just getting her business off the ground, and the majority of her clients had been friends and acquaintances of hers. I had already interviewed with several other potential photographers, most who had bigger and slicker portfolios (along with much higher pricetags, of course), but I felt a connection with Pang that I could not deny. She just has such energy about her. She was upfront about her relative inexperience in the business (and jokingly related stories to me of some of her more humorous learning experiences), and was more than willing to provide me with some references to contact. We decided to take the plunge and hire her for our wedding, and boy are we glad we did! Our first experience working with Pang in front of the camera was for our engagement photo session at Harper's Ferry. She not only hauled her equipment on a mountain hike with us, she outpaced us much of the time! I had always been skeptical of the whole posed engagement photo session idea, but when the photos came back looking so great (she uploaded them right onto Shutterfly for us), I must admit I was pretty starry-eyed. They made us even more excited for the wedding. On the wedding day Pang arrived right on time and immediately set to work, all the while exuding her signature energy and calm professionalism. The groom and I were getting ready in separate cabins, almost on opposite sides of the resort where we were staying, and she diligently traveled back and forth between the two to capture as much as she could. For posed shots, she was full of ideas without being pushy. And for the candids, she showed an intuitive sense of how to capture a moment without being intrusive. Many of our guests remarked to us afterwards how much they enjoyed working with her. It sounds like most everyone loved her just as much as we did. No photographer is right for everyone, of course, and some may prefer a larger portfolio or more business experience in their wedding photography. Some may not also mesh well with Pang's casual friendliness, though this was not a drawback for us in the slightest. The only other thing to be aware of is that as far as I know, Pang doesn't yet do album design--you will either have to create your own, or hire someone else to do it. Pang has mentioned an interest in moving into that area in the future, though, so perhaps soon this will be part of her package. We loved the preview of the photos Pang posted to her blog, and we are eagerly awaiting the final photos! There aren't too many times in life one needs to hire a professional photographer, but if we ever encounter another opportunity, Pang would definitely be our choice.

Pang and Rachel spent the whole day with us, from early in the morning for hair and makeup to the end of the reception. They worked together incredibly well, and were professional and personable and so easy to work with. They were the perfect photographers for us, and Pang did a great job keeping us on schedule, keeping the stress level down, and keeping us laughing! We will absolutely be using Pangtography in the future.

We are so happy with our wedding photographer choice! We have known her for a while and asked her to take our engagement photos and within the first few shots, we knew we wanted her to photograph our wedding! She has such a creative, artistic eye! She is professional and prompt and specific! she is great!!
