About this vendor
Nestled between Lindstrom and Scandia, just 45 miles north of the Twin Cities, Panola Valley Gardens is an enchanting eight-acre outdoor venue known for its natural elegance and welcoming charm. Established in 1996, this family-owned property has grown from a backyard dream into one of Minnesota’s most beloved wedding destinations.
Exchange vows surrounded by lush gardens, vibrant blooms, tranquil fountains, and cascading waterfalls. Majestic hardwood trees create a romantic canopy, while a cobblestone path leads guests through a flower-filled courtyard, past a Koi pond and Greek goddess statues, to a charming gazebo and grand pavilion.
Our spacious pavilion ensures your celebration is perfect in any weather—providing shade, shelter, and a scenic view of the countryside. The bride and groom each enjoy their own private dressing rooms, adding an element of anticipation and surprise before the ceremony.
Picture-perfect moments await at every turn—beside a pond, under an old oak tree, or within an arbor of blossoms and ivy. Our high-quality sound system fills the gardens with music, setting the tone for a day to remember.
From intimate elopements to full wedding receptions, our dedicated onsite coordinator ensures your event runs seamlessly. Panola Valley Gardens also hosts a variety of private gatherings, including receptions, showers, graduations, and anniversary parties.
During the summer months, guests can also enjoy Tea in the Garden, our beloved afternoon tea and luncheon series that brings a touch of English charm to the Minnesota countryside.
At Panola Valley Gardens, you’ll find the perfect blend of timeless beauty, personal service, and affordability—creating unforgettable celebrations for nearly three decades.

This venue was absolutely perfect! My husband and I were married at the end of July while the garden was in full bloom. The pictures were stunning. Patty the caterer was fantastic ...
to work with, and I received so many compliments on how much everyone enjoyed the food. I was told by several guests that this was the best wedding food they had ever had! We chose a wide variety of appetizers and it went over VERY well with the guests. Not only was this venue beautiful, but I felt very reasonably priced. If I could plan my wedding again, I wouldn't change a thing. Mary was fantastic to work with! This place is a hidden gem!
The garden setting was magical. We could not have asked for a better setting for our wedding. Mary Ann does an amazing job with making this garden feel like a fairytale. The commun...
ication with the caterer was top notch. Patty and I went back and forth with my requests for the menu. The food was executed perfectly. Everything we had talked about, Patty made a reality. People came to us throughout the wedding to compliment the venue and the food. A lot went well. However what went wrong were important details to my husband and I. 1st, when we booked venue, we knew there's no a/c in the grooms or bridal suite. We brought 2 portable a/c units that required ice. We brought ice because ice was not free at venue. We needed it for beverages as well. Once the ice was brought in, it was used by the venue. None left over for the a/c units. Bride, Groom and 10 others in wedding party struggled with heat. 2nd, we created "day of" programs for guests, caterer and MaryAnn (venue coordinator). After ceremony, program stated that apps will be ready, groom and bride will have meet and greet, then wedding party takes photos while guests eat the apps. Apps were never put out. When a bridesmaid approached staff, they said, "no one is around so they are not setting them out". That was not ok, people expected apps. Once apps were set out, guests rushed the app table. We learned there were no plates for the apps. I asked for a zero waste wedding so they were avoiding disposable items, however, napkins are compostable. We had compostable bins. No one had a way to eat apps without getting dirty. 3rd, the salads sat out for a half hour before dinner was to start and were wilted by the time it was noticed. The head table was to seat 12 people but we were squished, shoulder to shoulder. 2 people in wedding party sat with backs to guests. We could not get out of our seats once sitting. 4th, our parents tables were the furthest from the head table. All were confused and livid. Speeches by parents were given from across the room. We could not communicate to our parents the entire wedding.
5th, the 2 tiered cake we instructed and paid venue to cut & serve our guests was being set out. We asked them to cut a specific amount of pieces. This cake was never cut. Then we saw our personal cake being set out. This cake was for the bride and groom to cut and was going to be taken with us after event. My husband ran to MaryAnn and told her this was not the cake to cut. She shrugged him off as if she was annoyed. Our own, personal cake was cut by the venue and about 5 pieces were placed on a table. We are devastated. 6th, we paid for 75 dessert shooters. 3 flavors. We saw some of each flavor placed out on a table briefly. I have talked to each of our guests and about 10 of them had 1 dessert shooter. The remainder was never packed to come home with us. We paid a large amount of money for cake cutting services, and the dessert shooters. 5 pieces of wrong cake cut and few shooters were eaten by guests. Where did the desserts go? All guests were shocked to hear there was even cake and desserts available. I feel like we were over charged. We paid for services and food we never received.
We paid for servers and they never had any beverages /water filled in the 2 glasses per person that we paid for. I asked the servers after about a half hour to please fill our guests toasts glasses with the beverages we bought and water. Great venue, not reliable services.
Mary and Gary were fantastic. They clearly know what they’re doing and were super helpful and flexible. The gardens themselves are absolutely gorgeous. Even in October on a cold da...
y, the gardens were picturesque.
First of all let me just say, GORGEOUS! I knew I had always wanted an outdoor wedding but with MN weather it is hard to take that leap. Panola Valley Gardens was perfect because it...
allowed me that outdoor space in a beautiful landscape but under a pavilion (which was nice in case of rain, luckily we had a perfect day). Mary Ann is one of the sweetest people I have met and was very prompt with responses and willing to answer any questions that came up along the way. She has speaker rocks throughout the gardens that allows you to bring in your own music to be played before, during and after your ceremony - or you can also choose from music she has. The gardens themselves are well manicured and simply stunning! We had many compliments and got so many beautiful pictures in many different locations. Definitely worth the drive to see this beautiful site.
MaryAnn and Gary are wonderful to work with. They are so sweet, kind and thoughtful. Our wedding day went very well and people still haven't stopped asking "how did you find that p...
lace?" Everyone was commenting on how lovely the gardens are. As the bride, MaryAnn made me feel so special, most of the time I like to stay in the background and make sure things are to everyone else's liking, but MaryAnn would keep making sure things were the way my groom and I wanted them, she has such an encouraging manner about her that it made it easy to plan and carry out this wedding. She is so sweet. Both my husband and I are looking forward to going for tea at the garden next summer. Also, Patty the exclusive caterer was great to work with, we had a lot of positive comments on the food.
If I could give Panola Valley Gardens more than 5 stars, I would. It was the most beautiful location I ever could have imagined. From the beautiful flowers, to the gazebo, to the p...
avilion where our ceremony took place, everything looked perfect. Our wedding was in the beginning of July, and the flowers were absolutly amazing. Mary Ann is incredibly knowledgable, and was a huge help during the rehearsal. After the ceremony, we had multiple guests tell us that it was the most beautiful ceremony location they had ever seen. I couldn't agree more. Thank you so much for making me the happiest bride ever!
Mary is so caring and helped out in any way she could whether it be putting out beverages for our guests or rangling in the wedding party during in the rehearsal. Not to mention th...

with you to make sure your day is just the way you want it to be. I would highly recommend to any bride who is looking for an outdoor garden venue for her wedding--she will not be disappointed.
Panola is extremely beautiful. Our wedding was on May 15, 2015, so pretty early in the season, but Panola still looked beautiful. We received many compliments from our guests on ou...

The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and there are a ton of beautiful spots for taking pictures. There are little gazebos, arches, fountains and a couple of ponds. The woman who run...
s the place, Mary Ann, is so sweet and super helpful. She is very laid back and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. We had to make a last minute change of location due to flooding of our original location and I can honestly say that period of extreme stress was worth it because this location was even better than our original place. They specialize in ceremonies but we did both the ceremony and reception at the same place. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a private outdoor garden wedding.
Everything about the gardens is amazing. The owners were so helpful and nice. Would of been nice to get more time for how much we paid... Considering the wedding before ours left a...
fter our time had began.
I opted NOT to have "bachelorette" party ...
Instead, my bridesmaids and the mothers of the bride/groom attended a delicious bridal luncheon at Panola Valley Gardens in Scandia.

If you've never heard of it or seen it, it's a MUST!!!!!! I've been to Hawaii and haven't seen such beautiful landscaping/flowers all in one area.
ACRES of flowers, ponds, foliage, etc. etc. make this venue absolutely stunnning.
Our luncheon was elegant ... outside, under the covering of a beautiful pavilion, round tables with cloth tablecloths, gorgeous china, fresh roses as centerpieces and delicious food .... my bridal party was speechless. So relaxing, so honoring to them and to our mothers.
So memorable for each of us.
I'd HIGHLY recommend this to EVERYONE!!
Even though my husband and I have lived in the lakes area our whole lives, neither of us have ever visited "The Gardens". What a place!! If you are looking for a beautiful wedding...
site look no further. All of our guests were WOWED by the whole experience and Mary even has handicapped accessible parking and ramps which made it great for my grandpa who is in a wheelchair. We ended up having a very cold July day (high of 62!) but the garden chapel was still cozy with the sides that she and her husband had put up to block the wind and rain. The only thing that I would ask her to do different would be to put up a chain rope going across the stairway the goes in front of the bridal suite. I ended up having a lot of my guests walk in front of my dressing room while I was waiting for the ceremony to start even though I had my groomsmen asking them politely to go the other way. - Overall experience, very happy and I can't wait for tea in the garden :)
Our wedding was beautiful at the gardens. However, it was a little pricey.
We fell in love with Panola from the website, and it is even better in person. We had so many compliments from guests on how wonderful a venue Panola is. Mary Ann was so accommod...
ating right from the beginning. We chose to have our reception here as well (which made it cost more than it would have) but Mary was wonderful to work with as well. I have food allergies and Mary and Mary Ann did everything according to what we asked. Mary and her team made all the food from our recipes and purchased the brands we specified and even taught her team about cooking for people with allergies. Mary Ann was just as wonderful as well, stepping up when our officiant was unable to attend the rehearsal and coordinating every little detail. Things were so beautiful and went so smoothly, I could not have asked for a better team of people helping out. I highly recommend Panola Valley Gardens if you're looking for an alternative outdoor venue.
Panola Valley Gardens is so beautiful. We loved having our wedding here and it totally fit our style. It did rain a lot that day which is never fun for an outdoor wedding. They do ...
have a outdoor chapel for guests to sit under. The only negative part was that the director wasnt directing guests or coordinating much that day. We could of used more help with that, and having them clear the water on sidewalks etc away.

aces to take pictures, each site more beautiful than the last. We have so many great photographs and memories that we will forever cherish. Mary is so easy to work with and she was helpful in planning the event. We had live music that worked wonderfully with the site. I truly cannot praise them enough!

hen we pulled up everyone was AWWWWW. I could not believe how beautiful it was. They have a seperate bride & groom room, which are decorated beautifully. We received so many compliments about the location. Mary Ann & her husband are so wonderful, easy to work with, very polite & helpful. If I had to do it all over again I would still pick this place.
Panola Valley Garedns was beautiful and they made sure evey thing went right. It was perfect

amp; Gary do a ton of work every spring. This place is magical and everything you could want for your wedding day! After our wedding everyone came up to me (and still is) to ask where we found such a place. Mary Anne is like your own personal attendant the day of your wedding. She was very prepared at our rehearsal, too. Some of our wedding party was extremely late and she was able to work around it. The only thing I would suggest to future brides is that they make sure everyone has dummy proof directions. I did that and still a few people got lost.
Panola Valley Gardens was a dream venue to work with! They made so many accommodations for us and were so flexible, plus they answered our millions of questions whenever we had th...
