he exact look I was going for. She kept showing me my make-up and made small adjustments as we went. I was always so nervous how my look would turn out all put together on my big day but it was 100% what I envisioned. I truly felt gorgeous. You can tell she is extremely experienced and confident in her skills, and the end product shows! The airbrush make-up lasted all evening and I got SO many compliments! My bridesmaids that got hair and make-up all looked amazing as well. Seriously hire Carrie, you will not regret it.

Since we were not local to Charleston and unable to do a 2nd trial, Carrie herself went above and beyond to come to do my makeup after another wedding she'd already had booked. It looked even better than the inspiration photos I showed her. 100% perfect. Kelly did the bridesmaids' makeup and they all looked amazing. Kristin did our hair and did a wonderful job. All the ladies were on time, responsive, extremely friendly and we had a blast getting ready with this team.

She's very focused on her work but was also a lot of fun to have around. I showed her one picture of what I was thinking for my hair, and she nailed it. My makeup was outstanding - I wanted a natural, enhanced look, and she could not have made it more perfect. All of my bridesmaids looking amazing and loved their hair (not easy for a group of 7 women). One of the most amazing things about Carrie's work is that my hair held ALL day. She finished my hair well before noon, and it still looked perfect when the reception ended at 11:00 (and I danced A LOT). Multiple people commented to me after the wedding that they couldn't believe how good my hair looked all night. I could not recommend Carrie more highly!

I wasn’t sure how soft I wanted the makeup to be (I knew I didn’t want dark Smokey eyes) but she made sure to pause several times throughout to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Even with the hair trial, she put in my extensions and showed me the look as she was creating it to incorporate any adjustments. I was appreciative of that since many hair and makeup artists I’ve had in the past just wait until the end. A few months before the wedding I was having second thoughts about my hair style (since I was thinking updo instead of down) and Shayla was great about helping me book a second trial to make sure I was happy with it a few days before the wedding. I LOVED the new hairstyle. Originally I was going to do a transition where I took out the bottom part of the updo to have a second hairstyle, but I loved the updo so much that I decided to keep it for the whole day! The day of the wedding I was so impressed with how efficient Shayla and Allie were with getting all of my girls through hair and makeup, even through all of the girls getting distracted by prosecco, going outside, and dealing with dress mishaps. I was SO blown away by how amazing my hair and makeup turned out the day of my wedding! I didn’t think it was possible but it turned out even better than the trials and Shayla created my “Bridal glow”. I wish I was local to Charleston because I would go to Shayla for all of my hair and makeup needs in the future! Highly recommend!

I then did my hair and makeup trial with Carrie the day of the rehearsal (I was an out of town bride so this was the only timing that worked for me) and I was so elated with the finished product. The airbrush makeup is so light and weightless, I had full coverage but didn't feel like it at all! I also love Carrie's approach to false eyelashes - she cuts them so that they feel and look more natural, no edges coming up at the inner corners! Then, on my wedding day, Sierra did four bridesmaids and two moms up-dos and they looked stunning - each was complimentary to their hair type and style. Carrie did makeup for the same group and everyone was so thrilled with the final product. She really listened to what each bridesmaid/mom wanted, while also being in tune with their natural color palattes. Carrie then did my hair and makeup, and covered up three tattoos, and I was once again blown away. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and can't thank PaperDolls enough for their excellent services, fast communication, the convenience of having them come to your location (we are at an air BnB), and the ease of payment. I had to call Carrie for an emergency spray-tan a few days before the wedding due to an accidental sunburn (whomp whomp) and she made me look gorgeous. Once I talked to Carrie and read all of Paper Dolls's awesome reviews though, I felt completely confident in my decision!! I went for my hair trial the day before my wedding, about 6 months after booking with Paper Dolls, and I got to meet Shayla who did my hair for my wedding. Shayla is awesome!!! She was so fun and easy to talk to and as soon as I showed her a couple pictures she got to work on my hair. When she finally showed me my hair, I loved it so much!! There wasn't one thing I wanted her to change because she really understood my vision for my wedding hair within the first 5 minutes of meeting me! The day of my wedding was perfect. The first stylist, Cierra, came to my hotel to do all 5 of my bridesmaid's hair and my mom's hair too. She did such a great job on each of their hair styles! They all loved their hair!! Then Shayla showed up to do my hair and of course it was perfect! It looked exactly like it did at my hair trial and I loved it so much!! My hair even stayed the same all night long, even on a very breezy July day! I am SO glad I booked with Paper Dolls, they're all amazing!!

My girls that wanted makeup could also make their own separate payments which took a lot of stress off of my shoulders while preparing for the day. Lastly, I heard so many of my vendors tell me that they are "the best in town" when I would mention who I contracted, and I completely agree! I wholeheartedly recommend this awesome team!

I was so impressed that she was able to give them all the style I desired, despite that fact that they all have such different hair volumes and lengths. The make-up was also fantastic; we got married on a HOT day in the summer, but our makeup stayed on despite the 95+ degrees during the photos and outdoor ceremony. Additionally, Carrie is so friendly and easy to be around -- which is very important for someone who will be spending the entire morning in your bridal suite with you and your friends! She stuck exactly to the schedule and had us all ready for photos with time to spare. I found out after the fact that Carrie also does spray tans; I had already gotten one when I found this out but I would have done that with her as well.

ding. We exchanged numerous emails (I was planning my wedding from a distance) and Carrie was always professional, prompt to respond and made me feel at ease. While I wasn't very sure how exactly I wanted to look on my big day, Carrie made sure I looked beautiful. For example: After discussing with her how my hair was not growing as quickly as I hoped, we decided on hair extensions. Carrie ordered the perfect shade that matched my hair color and no one could even tell I was wearing extensions since Carrie did such a fabulous job selecting the shade and applying the extensions to blend with my natural hair. Furthermore, my two flower girls decided very, very last minute to also get their hair styled but this did not upset or phase Carrie at all. We were able to successfully stay on schedule despite this hiccup and again, it was because of the professionalism of Carrie. And most importantly, I felt extremely beautiful on my special day as did my wedding party. I did not feel or look "over-done" and simply felt like the best version of myself. Everyone who had their hair styled and make-up done were stunning! It is also worth noting that Carrie has an awesome personality. I honestly loved getting to know to her! With one picture I had saved for my hairstyle vision, and my instructions of “natural and light, but enhanced” for makeup, she instantly created the absolute perfect look for me. On the wedding day, her and her team arrived promptly to our rental house, set up their stations in record speed, and had all of our services done AHEAD of schedule. They even accommodated last minute extra services and touch-ups for everyone; the whole morning was absolutely stress-free thanks to them, and each of the ladies looked stunning from the time they were done-up, until the last song of the night. I could not have been more pleased with Paper Dolls and would HIGHLY recommend them to any bride! Carrie made me feel picture perfect on my wedding day, and feel so thankful for them each time I see a new wedding picture - these ladies are amazing!
