I am Mollie of Paper Sun Photo, and along with my team we are an award-winning wedding photography studio with more than a decade of experience crafting beautiful, thoughtful, and unique wedding stories. With a passion for photojournalism, I believe it’s most important to let your story unfold and tell itself. My camera loves to follow the little moments, the subtleties of relationships, the tricks of light, the beauty in the everyday, and everything that comes together to tell your story as a couple. ns to make sure we were getting the photos we want. She checks in prior to the big day to go over a timeline which is super helpful when you have no idea about making a schedule or where to start. We loved that she took charge and got our families in order to get the big group and individual photos done seamlessly. We highly recommend her for your engagement/wedding photos. The quality of her photos is perfection and you get a great mix of posed and candid.

My husband and I held a small family ceremony, and I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to work with her on this special day. We planned our wedding from out of state, and it was apparent to me immediately after our first call that we were in great hands, allowing me to focus on other details. She is incredibly organized, responsive, and proactive about planning the photo moments that we wanted in order to alleviate stress the day of. Above all, she has a unique ability to both support a couple's vision while offering her seasoned expertise, as desired. The day of the wedding, Mollie was cool, calm, and collected. I received so many compliments on the way that she navigated pictures ahead of the ceremony with a personable approach. I felt comfortable and at ease around her, and I believe this helped me carry these vibes into the ceremony. Her personable command during family formals was pivotal in moving our families through this series of pictures. It was a genuine pleasure having her present on our wedding day, and she added to the magic of it all. Mollie cares about the PEOPLE behind the moments. Within a week I had a sneak preview of the photos, and we are so positively overwhelmed with the results. The candids and stills are amazing. Reliving these moments brought tears to our eyes. ent pictures, on top of Chris helping with our wedding day; we had the best time. We love the clean and crips style to their photography and the mix of portrait and candid's. Nothing ever felt forced. With not being super photogenic people, they were still able to help guide us to great poses, without going out of our comfort zone and without making anything feel awkward. The results were stunning. The extra effort Mollie and Chris put in with helping plan day of events, to being a back up coordinator (when they didn't need to be..), to working with several different ages/small-large groups/different personalities, etc., amazed us!! They really touched our hearts and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

It actually rained on our wedding day 10/28/24 but she had a plan in place for that, and despite not being able to do all the wedding party shots we hoped, you couldn't even tell because she's such a pro. The reason we chose Mollie was because we couldn't find another photographer as adept at capturing a good candid photo in amazing lighting, and let me tell you, she delivered on just that. The shots were amazing. Don't go with some big photo company where the photographer won't get a chance to get to know you or you won't know who is shooting you on your wedding day. Go with professionals who are skilled at their craft; go with Paper Sun.

ce (and while I wasn’t dreading it, I was extremely anxious). In the end, he had an even better time than I did! I was very impressed by the suggestions she gave us for poses and for small adjustments. Since she gave us almost 200 proofs to choose from, I was able to see the improvements in the photos after she had given us feedback. I also remembered all of this very clearly because she gave us our proofs literally one day after our shoot! While I don’t think it’s fair for everyone to expect that from now on (we certainly didn’t), I do think you can count on a great experience if you hire Paper Sun. One caveat - you should make sure your aesthetics are similar. I knew I loved warm, bright, and friendly-feeling photos and that’s what she does (and I know that’s not for everyone).

She was amazing on the day of- I'm a very in the moment kind of person so I knew I was not going to be great at remembering to tell her to take pictures of specific things or to try and find her to ask for certain pictures, etc, but I didn't have to because she was always in the right moment at the right time to catch beautiful, candid moments. On the day of the wedding Chris was on time and fit right in with our group and helped everyone feel comfortable with requests and with our timeline. We received sneak peek of our photos the week after wedding and they looked phenomenal. We met with over zoom with both Chris and Mollie to make sure we were a good fit and both were super helpful with all of questions. They were very comfortable and easy to understand what is to be expected throughout the whole process. Worked excellent with our day of coordinator.

o and knew I had to meet her. My (now) husband and I had a call with her and hired her almost immediately. She is friendly and unassuming, humble but confident, and she just has a general love for photography and love itself. Your wedding is not just a business, its the most important day of your life and you want to work with someone that loves the emotion and joy that comes with getting married. Mollie does! We set up an engagement shoot for which we were both on the fence with, given that most that I have seen are a little sappy and not really our personality as a couple. However, Mollie made it fun and easy and the results were better than I could have imagined. Mollie and Chris showed up for the wedding and were calm, relaxed, and so fun. We had a few inside jokes from the engagement shoot, so it felt like your friend was taking your picture all day - which honestly is what you want! They are literally your shadow for the day. We chose not to have a videographer, so I was really nervous waiting for our sneak peek photos. When they came in I just cried all over again. They were beautiful and captured the personality of our day so perfectly. I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos, as I don't even know how we will choose which to print based on the sneak peek.

only photographer who was willing tailor her services to our needs. She was also great when it came to rescheduling our 2020 wedding to 2021. The day of, Mollie exceeded my expectations as a photographer. She was such a positive presence on a hectic day and helped to make things go smoothly. One thing I remember clearly is her speaking Spanish to one of my Spanish speaking family members when we were organizing for photos, which helped us get ourselves put together for photos. re it all. Not only does she capture the emotion, but she has such a beautifully artistic understanding of the framing and lighting to make every shot remarkable. We initially met Mollie for our engagement shoot and she was very accommodating to meet us at our location nearly 3 hours away for an additional (very reasonable) fee. She was extremely flexible with scheduling and we were able to find a day and time that worked for everyone so we could shoot during golden hour too. She then shot our wedding and that experience was just as refreshing as the engagement session. With all the chaos of the wedding day, she was a steady hand who provided guidance to us to ensure that all the important moments were captured. We will cherish the photos and the experience for a lifetime. We cannot recommend her enough!

r wedding twice. HOWEVER--in the midst of a pandemic and vendors who left us high and dry, Mollie refused to let our wedding down. When they had to restaff the team the first the time, Mollie was professional, honest, empathetic, and kind. When it happened the second time, she floored me with how she was willing to let me walk away and how honest she was that we could find second photographers. Nope--from the first phone call with Mollie, this was a team that was sold on our wedding day vision. Mollie fell in love with our love story, us as a couple, our wedding venue, etcetera, and held the utmost professionalism when lightning, god forbid, struck twice. I could have been a mess of a stressed out bride but of all the things that were happening in the final days up to the wedding, I knew Mollie had it handled for my husband and I. And she absolutely did. From the flash drive engraved with Paper Sun to the online gallery and the contract suite, every detail is taken care of and absolutely hand crafted with the utmost detail and dedication to her craft. I LOVE Paper Sun and I'm so glad we were referred to them.
