Parampara

Purvi started learning Hindustani Classical Music at the age of seven from Smt. Shashi Nanda. In addition to classical music, Purvi has performed bhajans, garba, and many other types of light music at local cultural events. She recorded her first album, Dawn of the Divine Mother, in 2010. Purvi continued her training at Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula in Pune, India since 2014. Under the guidance of Shri Vijay Shivane, she completed her Sangeet Visharad in 2018. Purvi has worked with the Shankar Mahadevan Academy as a teacher from 2019-2020. In 2020, she completed her Masters in Vocal Music at Bharati Vidyapeeth in Pune, under the guidance of Smt. Anjali Malkar. She currently runs her own music school, Parampara School of Performing Arts, and performs Indian music both locally and internationally.
