Voted Best DJ in northern Michigan 2023 (People's Choice, Petoskey News Review) DJ Parker Marshall is based in Petoskey and is the Up North choice DJ for weddings and private functions. DJ Parker Marshall entered the wedding industry in Los Angeles and has been mentored by Los Angeles's best DJs since 2018. He started as hired dancer "hype man" "professional wedding crasher" and has taught dance classes at local studios. His background as a dancer brings a unique perspective to his performances, bringing crazy energy & fun to his sets. In 2023 he has been the resident DJ /VJ at NOMAD. restaurant in Bay Harbor playing every Sunday of the summer from Labor Day to Memorial Day and will do so again in the summer of 2024.
He's DJ'd for the Shinola Hotel - Detroit, Boyne Highlands, Gypsy Distillery, Castle Farms, Union Street Station, Little Traverse Yacht Club, Snowflake Lounge, Boyne Mountain, Bar Harbor Bar, Little Harbor Club, Gypsy Vodka's 4th of July Party, High Five Spirits, Bay Harbor Car Show, Balloons Over Bay Harbor, BlissFest, DART for ART, Petoskey's New Years Eve Ball Drop, Crooked Tree Arts Center, Boyne City Yacht Club, Lyric Theater, LITE 96.3, HITS 106 KHQ, Odawa Casino, Zonta Fashion Show, as well as holiday parties, weddings (of course), school dances, charity events, corporate mixers, anniversary parties, celebrations of life, and local happenings.
Parker is an open format DJ (DJ speak for he plays everything), top genres include Pop 1960's - Today's hits, Motown & Soul, Disco, Funk, 80's New Wave, Dance Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Country, Spanish music: (Banda/Traditional, Merengue, Reggaeton, Urbano, Cumiba, Salsa, Rock + Pop en Espanol.) as well as electronic dance club hits & standards.
Parker is from Petoskey and the Detroit suburbs. He lived in Los Angeles from 2012-2020 where he learned how to DJ. He lives in Petoskey. He's fluent in German.

ur ceremony music, DJ Parker Marshall worked with him for set ups and connections to his equipment. He followed our “must play” and “do not play” lists perfectly and took them very seriously. He added in any fun elements we asked for and was fantastic about checking in or touching base if he had any questions about requests. The dance floor was packed our entire reception. One of the most-talked about things since our wedding was how amazing our DJ was— he was well-loved by all of our guests, and us, too!! He asked about our favorite artists/genres and created live mixes with smooth and fun transitions. We seriously could not be happier. He went above and beyond and exceeded any expectations we had for a DJ!
