If you would like a boring and unfun wedding filled with sadness, then Omar is not the guy for you. Omar was super polite, on time, and played the right songs during the ceremony at the perfect time. Then, he got the families up dancing during the reception and was great at keeping the party going. The reception was everything we were hoping for and more. It was the most fun I've ever had in my life. I would highly recommend hiring Omar.

Omar was an amazing DJ. He knew exactly what to do and how to execute a great wedding. He made the music planning easy. On top of all this, he was accommodating and flexible when I had a last minute request. Thank you Omar! Would recommend this DJ for any event!

Omar is the man. His communication was detailed, consistent and timely. The wedding process can be stressful at times but if you go with Omar, one thing you won’t have to worry about is the music or MC. The biggest thing we appreciated about Omar was his ability to read the room. Whether it’s telling guests cocktail hour is open or directing everyone to hit the dance floor, Omar has it covered.
He also has a wide range of music from classical ceremony music to pop hits to hip hop to reggae. Whatever your musical taste is, Omar knows how to mix it. Not only can he mix it, he can tell what the people are feeling and stay in that lane to keep the party going.
So if you’re looking for someone experienced and easy to coordinate with, look no further.

We had an amazing experience with Omar and Toni from Parkes Entertainment! From the introductory call to the wedding day, they were very friendly, understanding and communicative. We really got the feeling like they genuinely cared about helping us have an amazing wedding day. On the day of, they were on time, very professional, and rolled out hit after hit. They brought a great energy and all of our guests loved them. We could not have been more satisfied with our experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great and friendly DJ.

Omar was amazing!! He did everything perfectly! From the first video chat I knew he was the one! He was so personable, kind and made the whole process so smooth! Very organized, he had us fill out a document to make sure he played all the right music at all the right times!! His wife was also there helping the day of and she was so so kind! It was truly the best day ever!! He KEPT the dance floor MOVING ALL NIGHT!! Highly recommend!!

Omar was great! We hired him for our wedding. His services were affordable and he was easy to work with and professional. He was flexible and open to playing music from all different genres. He had great energy on the day, and read the crowd choosing music to keep the dancing going.

Omar was EXCELLENT!! Very professional, easily approachable and well versed in different genres of music. Omar listened to our request and made sure our music vision for our special day was executed precisely! Family and friends danced pretty much all night, just beautiful! Omar was wonderful! He went out of his way to make sure his set up and program were what we wanted and managed our wedding seamlessly. He kept our guests engaged throughout the night and had everybody on the dance floor. Many of our guests even came to us and bragged about how good DJ OP was!! Definitely would recommend.

Omar was such a great DJ for our wedding! The energy of the party was amazing and so many people told me that it was the most fun they had ever had dancing at a wedding. He was so helpful in our meetings prior to the event and is just a great guy all around. I definitely recommend to any couples wanting their reception to have a fun party atmosphere. I had multiple guests after the wedding ask me for his contact info as well. Overall, exactly what I wanted in a DJ for our event and I couldn't have asked for anything better!

DJ OP was an absolutely amazing DJ for us on our wedding day. We met a few times via zoom and he really took to heart our requests and the type of vibe we wanted for our wedding and executed it PERFECTLY. We could not be happier. Our guests really enjoyed his presence and were dancing the entire night!

I was born and raised in Bloomfield, CT. I am a first-generation American with Jamaican roots on both sides of my family. I have a lifelong passion for all kinds of music which gives me a unique perspective on how to entertain diverse crowds. Parkes Entertainment is a family business. My wife handles most of the wedding consultations, my 2 sons provide the manpower for lifting heavy equipment, I do all the DJing and my daughter and granddaughter spend all of our profits :-) Weddings are our favorite event to do because we love, LOVE!
