Parkland Cakes

Parkland Cakes made the cake for our wedding on 4/21/18. It is seriously the most delicious cake (we barely had any left!) We chose Lemon and Almond Amaretto for our flavors and both were great. It was also exactly as I pictured it. Brenda was super easy to work with! Definitely recommend for weddings!

I've had many Parkland wedding cakes in Columbia and knew that they would make mine. They were wonderful to work with and the cake was absolutely delicious! They are the best in town and so kind and professional.

Talk about Heaven in the form of food! Parkland Cakes was AMAZING. I got a three tier with the first and third layers being lemon (more lemon vanilla, not a super rich lemon taste if you're worried about that) and the second layer being chocolate covered in white vanilla frosting, with white fondant leaves flowing down the side. Oh, it was so gorgeous. I couldn't have been happier when I saw it! Brenda was great to work with at the bakery, and was very knowledgeable when we met for the tasting. Thank you so much, Parkland!

Wonderful and great to work with! The cake tasted delicious and was nice and moist and looked great too! We opted for just a three tier cake, but the provided cake stand added a nice lift. I highly recommend!

So thankful I listened to everyone and went with Parkland Cakes to make my wedding cake and groom's cake. Not only are all of their flavors delicious, but they also design beautiful cakes...even if you don't have an exact picture of what you want. They were able to blend several pictures and verbal descriptions together to come up with the designs I wanted. The cakes were absolutely gorgeous and super yummy!

The best wedding cake I have ever tasted. No gross nasty crayon tasting cake. Literally, mouthwatering! Everyone at my reception said the cake was FANTASTIC. She's easy to work with and will help you create your dream cake! Make sure you rent the cake stand. It is beautiful !

Parkland Cakes was easy to work with on short notice. They allowed time for us to taste and select prior to the event which gave us a perfect chance to select the cake we loved. We served a pound cake from Parkland that was delicious and beautiful. The only disapointment was that in the top tier on the front of the cake there was a 1" crack in the buttercream frosting. Since we only noticed it a few hours prior to the wedding/reception, I did not bother calling Parkland to try and have it fixed. I thought when they delivered the cake they might have seen it prior to leaving the venue. But it truly tasted wonderful.

Parkland cakes did an awesome job on my wedding cake! I couldn't have been more pleased. It was delicious (every crumb got eaten) and beautiful! I asked them to decorate the cake to look like the lace on my wedding dress and it was perfect.

Amazingly beautiful and delicious cake! I wish I could have more now! The cake was just stunning, and exactly what I wanted. The only downside was the price. I thought for a cake it was a little pricey (and that could be just my opinion). If you add sugar flowers and such it can actually double the price at times!

I am using Parkland for my wedding cake. They are very friendly and helpful when you are picking out what style and flavors you want to use. They are also very patient and are willing to offer up ideas and suggestions. Their cakes are not only pretty to look at, they are also delicious! Their Almond Almaretto is to die for! Over all we have had a very good experience!

Parkland Cakes has been in the business forEVER. It's a widely-known bakery (even one of our guests from Murrells Inlet knew exactly who we meant when we told them who'd made our cake), and with good reason. Parkland is old-school - they know technique and it shows. My groom and I are not into fondant. I know lots of folks are, but it is just not for us. To me it is dry and not very tasty. Parkland works with buttercream (though they do work with fondant as well) and can get it as smooth as any fondant. The decoration on our cake was piped and perfect. Our cake was small, as our guest list was limited, but they worked with us to design a gorgeous cake that fit our "theme" and budget. This vendor did not treat us like our wedding or cake was any less important because it was "small." The staff there were very helpful, communicating with me via e-mail to make appointments and finalize the delivery time. They even made time for me to come by with a cake stand we'd received as a gift and confirm it would hold the weight of our cake - which it did! (Parkland also has a number of cake stands for you to choose from if you'd rather rent one.) Delivery was smooth and on time, and our cake was beautiful. Check out the Parkland Cakes web site and facebook pages for samples of the work; you won't be disappointed. Now, to the most important thing: the taste. We went with the most popular flavor, almond amaretto. There's a reason this is the number one flavor there. It is divine. For our middle layer, we chose a rich chocolate. Both were moist and flavorful, and even with more cake than we thought we'd need, with the gift bags we provided, we had NO LEFTOVERS, except for our top tier. I doubt it will make it to anywhere near one year, as this cake was to die for. Our cake was as delicious as it was beautiful and worth every penny.

The cupcakes were amazing! They let me use my own holders which matched the decor! Everyone stormed (literally) the table after we cut the cake and made a toast!

Our cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious!! It's amazing what they can do with butter cream frosting. The staff is great and offers good suggestions.

We had to feed over 600 people for our wedding and the bakers at Parkland put together a five tiered cake and had elements of my dress in it. They were awesome and so easy to work with. They give suggestions, but do not try to over charge you! And most of all the cake tastes great!!!

Parkland cakes did a 4 tier cake for us. We had a different flavor in each tier. There were absolutely no complaints at all!! The colors matched our wedding colors as well. we were a bit worried if they'd be able to do it, but it looked great! It was presented beautifully! A great tasting/looking cake for the price!

Parkland was great to work with. I found a picture of the cake I wanted and they made an identical replica. I also wanted a more unique cake stand and they worked with me to find exactly what I wanted!

They make beautiful and delicious cakes!!! They let you taste test the flavors when you go meet with them to help you figure out what flavors you want. I cannot wait until our 1 year anniversary so we can enjoy the cake all over again.

Our wedding cake was just what we wanted..fun and fabulous! The staff met with us to create a vision of just want we wanted and made sure we had enough but not too much cake. We were able to make each layer a differnt flavor and while I really am not much of a wedding cake eater, this cake was delicious!!

I shopped around for a while and Parkland Cakes was recommended by everyone! They were very affordable and tasty. Our cake fit our wedding theme perfectly. It was delivered on time and was delicious! It was everything we wanted!

The best tasting and most beautiful cake I have ever seen or eaten in my entire life! From the meeting with Brenda I knew I could have complete faith in her that she was going to provide the best quality that all brides deserve. The cakes were very affordable, but they tasted like a million dollars!

They were awesome! I took them a picture of what I wanted and did not expect how close they would actually get it to the picture. The father delivered the cake that morning and it tasted like they had just baked it. Our family has used them in the past for wedding cakes so I knew who I would use. I recommend them to any one!

The cake was absolutely beautiful! The flavor was fantastic! They have so many options to chose from and really want to make sure the cake suits your style and your wedding. Extremely easy to work with! The price is really dependent upon the size cake you order - but it was very reasonable compared to other places! The buttercream icing was flawlessly smooth - and delicious!

The cake tasted great! Unfortunately, the colors were a little off, just make sure you provide them with "examples" of the colors that you're planning on using!

My husband's parents used Parkland for the rehearsal dinner cake as well. It was decorated beautifully... just as my mother-in-law wanted. That cake tasted OK...I've had better carrot cake and red velvet. Our wedding cake was gorgeous and we had amaretto and chocolate... both very good and not dry at all... we were very pleased with them!

Came out even better than I imagined, so beautiful with the flower topper. And unbelievably delicious too!

The cake was delicious and they were willing to work with me experimenting with techniques. They didn't have as wide a range of flavor as I would have liked. Overall, however, everyone enjoyed the cake!

Easy to work with and beautiful cakes! I don't even really like sweets, but I looooove their cake! We chose almond amaretto and lemon for our wedding cake, but it was a very difficult decision, as all flavors were A-mazing!

Parkland Cakes is THE cake place in Columbia. The cake tasting was lots of fun for me and the groom. All of the flavors were delicious. We even had one layer of yellow cake colored orange. Although they did not have a picture of a cake we had imagined she quickly drew up a sketch of exactly what we were looking for.
