From Vivaldi to Taylor Swift, Bridgerton-inspired arrangements to contemporary pop reimagined for strings, our custom repertoire has accompanied intimate ceremonies and distinguished galas, and is also featured on the Rock Orchestra national tour. ned our planning process. We had a trio of 2 violins and a cello, which sounded incredible! They showed up on time and played exactly what we had asked for, including a handful of songs that weren’t on their repertoire (which all sounded great, btw). vel of experience each member has, as well as the professionalism of their website. The extensive, varied repertoire the quartet lists online was a huge plus, too, as my wife and I were really only interested in working with a group that could play a particular piece we wanted to hear.
Songhai, the group’s point of contact, was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, and was very helpful as we chose the set list. I got the sense that Parkwest would be a great partner no matter how knowledgeable about music you are.
The group was very easy to work with on the day of the wedding, too: the pricing was straightforward, the musicians set up independently, and added great energy to the space for 90 minutes, even nailing the agreed-upon start time for the first movement of the set’s tentpole. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize how crowded the cocktail hour would be and the guests drowned out the music in parts of the room (to be clear, through no fault of Parkwest). But everyone within earshot was impressed at the quality of their musicianship, especially in such a challenging environment, and my wife and I were thrilled at the chance to hear our favorite tunes and would wholeheartedly recommend Parkwest Strings to anyone planning a wedding or similarly special event.
