I got married on October 5th, 2014, and had very high expectations of Pat after reading all the reviews. He was very responsive and nice in all of our communications and seemed to have a good grasp of what we needed on the wedding day. However,... my expectations were only partially met on the wedding day.
While Pat did a good job of playing the list of songs we had provided him with, he did not properly coordinate with the Maitre de about my entrance song, and they had me walk in at the wrong part of the song! This was disheartening to me because I really wanted the entrance to feel perfect, but it definitely didn't.
Also, I had spoken to Pat about the specifications of my wedding. It was a muslim wedding and many of my guests were muslims. I warned him that we had to be very careful about dancing because many people would not be comfortable with that, and that he should only play dancing music if the mood felt right. However, for some reason, while people were in the middle of their appetizers, he decided to get up from his DJ post and go over to tables with my guests, including muslim guests, and started shouting and encouraging people to get up and dance!! Many of my shy friends felt compelled to stand up but didn't know what to do. It was soo awkward!! I had to tell the maitre de to tell him to stop and only then he realized he had gone too far. However, when certain guests decided to dance, he did a good job of song selection to keep them going. He also properly announced everyone's names when they were coming in the reception. Lastly and most strangely, after the wedding, when my husband and I were driving about the town for a bit, Pat went to my father and told him we owed him $500 and that he wanted it in cash. Luckily we arrived in time and I told him we had already paid our total in full and perhaps there was a misunderstanding. He agreed and quickly disappeared after that. We were left confused; was he trying to scam us!?
