Jules was AMAZING to work with. I've never had professionally done make-up before, and I was a bit intimidated by it. My biggest concern was making sure that after the make-up was done, I still looked like myself. Jules took this very seriously and pivoted where needed based on the trial (cannot recommend this step enough if you have the budget. My husband was really put off by the length of the fake lashes from my trial. Jules modified our last approach to give my lashes the boost I wanted but closer to the natural look that my husband loves). She brought out all of my best features without making me look "over-done." All of the bridesmaids and family looked incredible, and we are still receiving compliments on how wonderful everyone's looks were. She is warm, kind, and so funny, which just added to our morning together. My make-up lasted into the next day too!! Thanks again for everything Jules!

I am super particular about my makeup but she truly listens to exactly what you want and makes you (and your bridal party!) look and feel your absolute best. We scheduled a trial a couple of months prior to the wedding, which was so helpful in determining the type of look I wanted to go for as a bride. I was really happy with Jules and her MUA services for myself and bridesmaids for our June 2023 wedding. The info she shared before hand (contract and bridal info packet) was super clear and helpful and included things like skin care prep and a template for a day of timeline. Communication leading up to the day was also very consistent and quick. On the day of, Jules spent so much time with each one of my bridesmaids and myself. I didn't have time to do a trial, and Jules really worked with me that day to make sure my makeup was exactly what I wanted even though we didn't have that time to make a plan beforehand. She was happy to make changes and last minute tweaks and touch ups if I wasn't happy with something. And she was fun to chat with the whole time we were getting ready! I would definitely recommend her to other brides.

I loved loved loved working with Jules. She traveled from Syr to Ithaca and did the makeup for me (bride), 8 girls, 1 boy, AND my mom and MIL. Not only is she super talented, she is also a wonderful person to spend time with. She put everyone at ease and her partner, Hannah were both friendly, fast, and professional. I’m a bit of a nervous talker, but I’m sure she would have been the perfect person to sit in silence with had that not been the case. I had never been in a wedding before and only had my makeup done professionally once (hated it) so I had NO idea what I was doing. During our initial phone call she answered all of my questions and even gave me some ideas for scheduling and styling that I wouldn’t have even thought of! She was accommodating when scheduling a trial since I was coming from out of town and she responded to all of my anxiety with flexibility and kindness. She really welcomed my feedback (“You will NOT hurt my feelings”) and didn’t even flinch when I showed up on my wedding day wanting to try something a bit different than what we had practiced (false lashes -eek!). She also ended up totally saving the day when her emergency wardrobe bag and expertise helped repair my little sister’s MOH dress! Everyone’s finished product finished product looked amazing and lasted alllll day through 80+ degree heat and happy tears – even in the late night hot tub at the after-after party! Overall, she is kind, empathetic, down to earth, talented, professional, and just worth every penny! I could not recommend more highly.

I am so happy that I chose Jules do my makeup for my wedding! Everyone’s makeup turned out beautifully. I wasn’t able to have a trial with her just because I live far away, so was a bit nervous not knowing how the makeup look that I chose would turn out. We had a call beforehand and I shared inspiration with her. On the day of, she was so great to work with- she really brought the inspiration photos to life but was also flexible to change anything as we went along so that everything looked perfect. Jules was the best and I really can’t say enough about her! She did my makeup for engagement photos, bridal shower and wedding! Each time she was right on time, easy to work with and my makeup came out perfect! On the morning of my bridal shower, she came to my home at 6am on a Saturday to do my makeup even though she had a wedding booked the same day. I was so happy she made time for me, especially because she already had a full day ahead of her! It really meant the world to me!

I did not get a trial, but based on other reviews and photos I felt confident with this decision. Because of the pandemic I had to change my original wedding date, and thankfully Jules had availability and was able to work with me and my bridal party when we confirmed the new date. On my wedding day she was flexible and able to add on additional people who wanted their makeup done without missing a beat. Julianna is absolutely wonderful. She did all bridesmaids, mother of bride, and mother in law makeup the day of my wedding this past August. She is not only extremely talented, but takes your vision and brings it to life, to make sure you feel extremely special on your day. The best.

I am so grateful that I chose Julianna to be my makeup artist on my wedding day. I am extremely picky about my makeup and was apprehensive about choosing an artist, but after a trial with Julianna, all of my fears were eased. She completely exceeded all of my expectations and I couldn't be happier. Julianna is flexible, knowledgeable, and efficient. Staying timely on the morning of a wedding is vital and Julianna was able to complete beautiful work in an allotted time frame. She also has an amazing personality, which aided in my decision to choose her as a makeup artist. I cannot say enough good things about Jules and Pastel Makeup. A true artist with a vision and the skills to execute it, Jules was patient and helpful for helping to visualize the wedding makeup of my dreams. Makeup is an essential part of my everyday look, and to part ways with my own hand at eyeliner is tough but Jules NAILED IT. She was amenable to using my own lashes and despite never using a Lashify system, nailed that too on game day. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and I can certainly say the same for my bridesmaids and the moms. Jules was able to determine each woman’s comfort level with “glam” and makeup, and find a look that suited each woman, regardless of undertones and age. Not only was she skilled at makeup, but runs her business flawlessly and patiently for us COVID-brides. She waited on standby for nearly a year to find out about my postponed day, showed up early and made each of the 10 women feel stunning. Her prices and travel fees are extremely reasonable, and her makeup artistry is unmatched. Plus, she earned the coveted love of my toy poodle.

Jules was so easy to work with and super sweet! She always responded promptly to any questions I had leading up to the big day. My makeup looked beautiful and was exactly what I asked for. I got so many compliments on it! She also traveled all the way to Lake Placid and was right on time the morning of. I would 100% recommend her!!

Jules was great to work with. I wear pretty much zero make up on a daily basis so it was important that my make up was natural and not overstated. We did a trial and Jules was very open to changing the look up on the day of to better suit my taste. She did great with my bridesmaids and was flexible with add-ons the day of the wedding. Jules is AMAZING. She made me feel so beautiful, but still like myself, just an elevated version on my big day which is exactly what I asked me. Her airbrush work feels so comfortable and that and lashes were still perfectly in tact at the end of the long, sweaty day. After being dumped by the first make up artist we hired, I was thrilled to be connected with Jules at Pastel Make Up and Style. Right off the bat, Jules was super responsive, professional and friendly. I knew I had made the right choice the first time I talked to Jules - she just made me feel so comfortable and it was clear I was in good hands...literally! Our wedding took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I was appreciative of how Jules handled this. From the start, she seemed to have proactively thought through how she'd manage bookings and when it came time for my trial and the wedding day, she came masked up and with a plan in place for mitigating the spread of germs via make up and brushes. I hired Jules and her assistant to be the "glam squad" for 4 bridesmaids, the moms and me. We all loved the end result, and Jules made the getting ready process fun, too! PRO TIP: We were able to utilize an outdoor space for make up, which put everyone at ease and actually worked well in terms of providing natural light for make up application. I had had a not-so-great experience as a bridesmaid having my make up done by another artist. I walked away not looking like myself at all, which led my now-husband to believe that all make up artists do really heavy, dramatic application. While I wanted to look more glam than any other day (I'm a regular make-up wearer and retired pageant girl!), I also wanted to still be recognizable. This is really Jules' speciality and so I think this was a vendor-bride match made in heaven! Fantastic experience and highly recommend!!

I couldn't be happier with my decision to hire Jules as the makeup artist for my wedding. Jules traveled to Cayuga Lake in Lansing, NY to do my makeup (and makeup for four others) the day of my (12 person, oh Covid...) wedding, and she made every single one of us feel absolutely beautiful. We hired Jules as both make-up artist and assistant for the day of. My bridal makeup lasted 7+ hours flawlessly. As someone who doesn’t wear makeup regularly, Jules took her time to listen my preferences while giving professional suggestions as to what would look best on photos and video. Because of COVID, my husband and I decided on getting married just the 2 of us. As an assistant, Jules helped me into my dress and made sure style-wise I was all set with shoes, accessories, and veil. She also assisted with photos and provided make-up touch-ups during the afternoon. Since we didn’t have a bridal party and/or family to rely on, it was super helpful to have her on hand to help during the afternoon! She also took some fabulous behind the scenes photos that she sent to me later on. It was nice to “be in the moment” and know that everything was being taken care of.

Julianna was amazing to work with. She provided makeup for myself (bride), my five bridesmaids, and my mother all by herself and she was a total rock star. I did a trial with her and it went great, and we tweaked some things for the big day. Me and my ladies all looked flawless all night. A few of my bridesmaids have been in several other weddings and said that this was the best makeup they ever had done (and I agree!). She was very communicative , on time, but laid back and fun to hang with for the day in the bridal suite. Pricing was also fair and transparent. Definitely recommend!
