About this vendor
I've been a pastor for over 30 years at the same church. (Still there!) I accidentally got into the wedding business 30 years ago when someone liked a ceremony I did and made me a preferred officiant for a major wedding venue. I have now conducted hundreds of weddings at more than 60 different wedding venues in Central Texas. I am ordained and licensed as a minister.
My ceremonies are brief due to the outdoor environment of most weddings these days. My message is 8-12 minutes depending on the comfort level, and the ceremony usually lasts 15-20 minutes when you add processional, recessional, vows and any other elements.
You are free to design the ceremony according to your style and convictions. I like to add a little light humor to keep the ceremony from being stiff and awkward. My short message is a celebration of marriage. I arrive early at the venue to make sure that all is in order and often pitch in to help with last minute issues.
I don't require a contract and have never missed a wedding. I only receive payment at the ceremony. I try to make the ceremony personal as possible, either through my initial phone interview, or a drop by visit or through premarital counseling.
Feel free to text me anytime to set up a phone chat to see if I'm a match. I have a series of questions that take just 10-15 minutes that will clarify what you want and if I'm a match. 512-845-3864. Even if you decide not to use me, it will help you think through what you want in your ceremony.
If your wedding is coming soon (within the next two months) in addition to reaching out to me here, you might want to also text me at 512-845-3864. Thanks!

Thank you, David, for making our day so memorable!

On wedding day, he arrived early and waited an hour for us because we were late. We were very thankful for his patience and flexibility. The ceremony was everything we wanted. We highly recommend David as your next officiant :)

nce doubted him on his advice, we agreed and knew there was a 90% chance it was going to be a hot one in Austin, TX. When our big day came, so did the heat. We are glad we decided on the semi short vows as our wedding guest were starting to glisten and so were we. Our 20 minute ceremony was nothing but wonderful from his jokes to the vows. I am so glad we chose Pastor Sweet.
Pastor David was amazing from start to finish.

ng all of the things that we wanted.
He was very open to our ideas about what we wanted while offering his own suggestions and expertise. Very easy to work with and stayed in constant communication leading up to our big day which gave us one less thing we had to worry about. He was awesome during the ceremony knowing exactly where to be and when for pre-ceremony advice, photos, etc. Would recommend 10/10 times.
David was great! I found him off the knot and we had a phone call so David could learn about us as a couple, our religious views (or lack thereof) and discuss how we wanted the cer...
emony to be formed. He said he could do things like a ceremony candle or sand ceremony, but my husband wanted to keep things simpler. After the initial phone call, I texted him a few times with questions and he was always so responsive and open to modifying the cermony for whatever ideas my husband and I had. Like including our kids in a prayer or reciting the Lords Prayer.
After the wedding was complete, my mom said that it sounded like David married us 3 times! There was a part where we said “I do” 3 times, then the standard vows, then another vow as we put the rings on each others hands.
Overall he did a great job! I would say he dipped out before we were able to get a picture with him though! That was my only complaint, but thanks for marrying us David!
