Instead, a significant portion of the experience involved spiritual practices and prayer that I was not expecting and was not comfortable participating in. My party and I ultimately chose to leave. What has disappointed me even more than the experience itself is what happened afterward. I took the time to reach out privately and respectfully, explaining my concerns and giving Patch of Heaven an opportunity to acknowledge what happened. I emailed. I called. I followed up. To this day, I have never received so much as a response or a returned phone call. I wasn’t expecting some grand gesture. I was expecting basic courtesy and accountability. For a place that presents itself as being rooted in mindfulness, intention, community, and respect, I find the complete lack of acknowledgment particularly difficult to understand. Even a simple response saying, “We hear you, and we’re sorry this experience wasn’t what you expected,” would have gone a long way. I rarely feel compelled to leave a review like this, but after making every reasonable effort to address the situation privately and being completely ignored, I feel it’s important to share my experience publicly. The property itself may be beautiful, but the way a business responds when a guest has a genuine concern says just as much about it as the experience they sell. Unfortunately, in my case, they chose not to respond at all
