Patrick was flexible with our change in plans due to Covid, communicative throughout the process, prompt, down-to-earth, and of course a very talented photographer. We are so happy with our photos and have received many many compliments on them (one friend even saying she'd hire him when her time comes). Highly highly recommend!

starting to work through logistics by email, Patrick was extremely responsive, helpful, and flexible. He did a fantastic job with our engagement photos, offering plenty of ideas for varied and creative photo set ups and making us feel totally at ease on camera. No shot is too silly or weird for him-- he embraces the fun of the moment with no judgment and encourages you to just be yourself. The photos turned out beautifully, ranging from playful close-up candid shots to lovely distant black and white panoramic shots of us in front of the harbor. By the time our wedding day rolled around, we had complete faith and trust in Patrick to capture our wedding day in a candid and natural but artistic way. Patrick did not disappoint. Patrick was a total pro during our long outdoors first look session, doing whatever it took to get amazing shots. Once again, just as he did with our engagement photos, he captured such a beautiful wide range of shots. He has an eye for what will make a shot work, and we really valued his expertise and vision. The photos completely transport us back to our wedding day and all of the sweet moments of the day. Finally, on top of being an exceptionally talented photographer, Patrick was really organized and professional. He sent all of our photos to us within a month of the wedding (and preview photos well before that!), which does not sound all that common from friends I've spoken to (some of which got married way before me and are still begging their photographers for their photos!). He is also just an all around fun, interesting, and thoughtful guy who we really enjoyed spending time with. Long story short, Patrick truly has our highest recommendation and we're so thankful that he was our photographer.

He was super easy to work with and my (now) husband and I really liked Patrick after our first meeting with him. Patrick was easy to communicate with and really fit with the vibe we were going for with our wedding. He did our engagement photos, which turned out better than we could have thought. The wedding photos turned out fantastic as well. We were amazed at some of the shots he was able to get, because both of us couldn't think of a time when we remember having a camera that close to us, he was like a photography ninja! We got the photos four weeks later, as promised. We can't recommend Patrick McGuire enough. We have heard so man horror stories from friends and family about their wedding photographers. This guy removed a lot of the stress we were expecting before, during and after the wedding!

the various photography packages. We were able to do a Skype interview, since we don’t live locally, which was very convenient and helped us to feel comfortable with choosing him. He checked in a couple times over the wedding planning process, mostly just to see how we were doing and if we had any questions. He seemed to know how stressful the wedding planning process can be and went out of his way to make things as easy as possible for us. On the actual wedding day, Patrick showed up on time and excited to be there. He gave direction when needed but generally took advantage of the natural flow of the evening. He made a point in saying “this is your day” and wanted to make sure we didn’t feel pressured into spending half the day posing for staged pictures (unless we wanted to). We received his photos on a zip drive about two weeks after the wedding and had a blast looking through his work. He truly captured all our special moments- it will be hard to choose which pictures we’ll display! We can’t thank him enough for being a part of our special day and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in search of a photographer for their special event.

Patrick is perfect to work with. He was able to give us suggestions for photos but also never got in the way of what was going on. And he is personally very easy-going with a good sense of humor; my husband, Derrick, told me that he felt like Patrick was one his friends by the end of the day. Basically, we would recommend Patrick 100 times over to anyone looking for a photographer!

Leading up to the wedding, Patrick was super easy to work with and had no problem doing a walk through of our venue with us to scope out photo ops and get familiar with the grounds. On our wedding day, which felt like the hottest day of the year, Patrick handled it perfectly. He was very flexible when we wanted to change our game plan because of the heat, and made it all work beautifully. Throughout the wedding, Patrick's candids were exactly what we hoped they would be. He captured the wedding and all of our guests in their element and the photos came out amazing! He seemed to be everywhere at once, but not intrusive at all. He sent over about 60 photos just a week after the wedding, and then the rest the following week. I can't recommend Patrick highly enough and only have amazing things to say about him.

My husband and I both come from a film/video background and looked for a photographer that emulated a “cinematic” feel in terms of composition and color grading without all of the typical “fluff”. Not only are Patrick’s candids amazing mementos from our day, but they also fit seamlessly into his portraits. These are the kinds of photos that emulate the intimacy of the couple, and reflect the vibe of your day in such a natural way. We asked for a few wide shots to get a better sense of our venue, and the shots he delivered were GORGEOUS. He was incredibly flexible day-of, and even when we were behind schedule he was ready to roll with it and made sure we snuck away for a few quick moments to capture a few ideas we had asked to try prior. Even as couple who tend to shy away from being on-camera, I have that "wait, was this really my wedding?" feeling every time I look at my photos. I knew Patrick was the right fit for us at our first meet up, and now, on the other side of the wedding, I can say we are absolutely thrilled with the way he captured our day. A low-maintenance AND highly professional, talented photographer, we just can't speak highly of Patrick McGuire enough! Needless to say, our families and friends have showered us with compliments about how our photos turned out. I HIGHLY recommend Patrick, he's one of a kind, and will be following his portfolio as he continues! Thank-you, Patrick!

know we made the right decision. We got all the full size digital prints just 3 weeks after the wedding! (He had already sent us a snap shot with a quarter of the photos a week after the wedding.) From the pictures, it seems like Patrick was everywhere all at once! I knew he was around the whole day, but he did not feel intrusive at all. The weeks leading up to the wedding, he was in frequent contact with us and gave us a lot of advice on how the day of photos were going to work. He was able to manage a large throng of family photos, all without breaking a sweat. Overall, Patrick was just the person we needed, a high quality photographer at a "don't break the bank" price. Would recommend him to any family or friends!

I had been told by another photographer that my timeline restraint for taking pictures between ceremony and reception could not be worked with however, to my relief, when I brought up the timeline to Patrick at our first meeting he thought it was no problem . He said that we would be able to work with whatever kind of schedule I had because it was "our day" and he was just going to be there to photograph it! When my fiance and I revisited Patrick's website after our meeting and looked at his photo gallery we realized just how much we really liked his photo journalistic style more than the traditional style of photography so the decision was made! Patrick was so supportive during the planning process and would check on me from time to time to make sure I was hanging in there which was nice. A few weeks before the wedding we got a timeline together for his day and then the week of I sent him the final timeline and a small list of formals that I wanted from the day. On the day of he showed up right on time and immediately began capturing. He would take direction from me if I wanted him in a particular place but was also able to direct himself if I was busy. He was great with taking formals, directing everyone where to stand and wasn't afraid to make us do a shot all over again if he thought it would look better in a different lighting. Once the reception began I hardly noticed his presence at all but I know he followed me the entire night and captured every moment as it happened. That's why I love Patrick's style-he has a way of waiting for just the perfect second to snap the picture and capture true emotions as they're happening. When our reception was running late for cake cutting he was the one to calm me down saying that it was not a big deal for him to stay a little longer to take pictures of the bouquet/garter toss and cake cutting. He was a professional and a friend all at once and this moment made me so happy I chose to have him as part of my day. We received a sneak preview of some pictures the week after we got back from our honeymoon and they were absolutely stunning! Patrick checked in with me almost every day the following week leading up to the delivery of the rest of our pictures because he was just as excited as we were about them. Words cannot describe how absolutely beautiful all our pictures are. Patrick was able to capture so many moments from our special day that we can now remember for the rest of our lives. His work is stunning and I will forever cherish my beautiful wedding pictures!

He made the whole process a breeze, which is priceless when it came to crunch time for us. Patrick has an unsurpassed knack for capturing the essence of moments; including all of the small details and tender moments that are so easily overlooked or missed. He effortlessly corralled and took photos of our three rambunctious nephews, the ring bears, while we were all getting ready and secretly caught those special moments my husband and I thought we had stolen away from the night when we quietly slipped away for a second. Patrick came up with great ideas that produced some really unique and beautiful shots, without having to “pull us away” from the evening. Looking back it was like Patrick was just another treasured guest and we are so blown away at how he was there for every moment, and we mean every moment, without being "in our face". His ability to capture life as it happens naturally, in a single frame is extraordinarily unique. Looking through our photos allows us to relive one of our most memorable days in vivid detail. Our photos perfectly reflect all the emotions from our special day.
